  1. I know a bar when I find myself in one. A jar of 10 year old pickled eggs and a rack of tater chips don't make it a restaurant. But I can carry there. - OS
  2. Previous law defined "restaurant" that served alcohol, which was only place that served where legal to carry. Current law does not define "restaurant" or "bar". All the same now, from skid row dive to 5 star dining. - OS
  3. Trigger sucks, though. - OS
  4. Far as safety razors, I started with one like this: Then they evolved into this kind, some of which even had adjustable blade exposure: A plethora of both kinds on eBay. - OS
  5. I have the Neos. While it's nifty, and VERY easy to disassemble, the trigger can't hold a candle to the Ruger MK models. No way even the best shooter can be as accurate with it compared to the Rugers, not even in the neighborhood of the ballpark. - OS
  6. My God, Dave. The Obama legal team, including O himself, has the collective intelligence of a small town ambulance chaser. And it's looking like the mighty AG might be just barely sharp enough to keep his own ass outta jail -- if he resigns in time. - OS
  7. I hit crawling period most every night somewhere tween 9 and 11. Tonight worse than usual. - OS
  8. Oh horse pucky, y'all. Just ensure buyer is TN resident and over 18. Unless you have reason to believe they are a felon, certifiably insane, etc, that's all the law requires. Nobody is going to charge you with a crime only because a gun you used to own was used in it. Of course, unless you are first owner, bought from a FFL, they'll likely not even find you to question anyway. But if you insist on doing a bill of sale, for sure INFORM the potential buyer of that BEFORE you meet to do the deal. - OS
  9. Boker offers Fixed blade knife Boker Plus Elegance Bob by Boker Plus as Outdoor knives. Some of these Boker Plus offerings are quite nice, though. I got the Mosier; had hoped it would be my next necker, but just turned out to be too heavy, but what a nice knife for the bucks (little over $50): Boker offers Fixed blade knife Boker Plus Mosier by Boker Plus as Outdoor knives. Here's YouTube Israel with review: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eLNxg0F7-sU - OS
  10. I think the case law is simply the lack of prosecution in the state, especially after the feds clarified the definition in an opinion few years ago. - OS
  11. No, but the excellent Buck Vantage series are unassisted flippers. I'm carrying a Vantage Pro right now (among some others ) - OS
  12. Yeah, most everything under $30 street price is PRC. Pretty good stuff, though. I really like the Compound, and the Clash is the poor man's ZT0350. Oso Sweet very nice for the price, but grip just a bit short in the hand for me. The Skyline Magic mentioned is US made. Kershaw is owned by Japanese company KAI, btw. - OS
  13. We need an Archibald Cox type special prosecutor. Getting closer to the top. Throw in Solyndra et. al. also. Bad news: if O is forced to resign before the election, we'll get Hildebeeste. - OS
  14. Wow, do you know the story on that website? It's the outlet for the Center for American Progress, comrade. You want to see anti-gun, you want Chris Chrisite. - OS
  15. You realize that all the Boker Plus (and the Magnum) line is made in PRC, right? Thought I'd mention since you said "another American made knife" in case you didn't know. - OS
  16. Well, if you like Kershaw, but are still leery of the assisted opening model (although it IS legit), they make several non assisted flipper models. Most folks rave about the Skyline -- US made, razor sharp, very light and flat. Wally was even selling them for a while, maybe still -- it's in the ~$35 range. It's not a brute, but should be quite serviceable for most EDC tasks. - OS
  17. Wal-Mart is in a two year sales slump. That's one of the best fingers on the pulse of the US economy I can imagine. Wal-Mart profit rises, but U.S. sales still weak - USATODAY.com
  18. Really. What damages have you incurred? - OS
  19. There is another more recent success story that you foresee to be the last one? - OS
  20. Or shoot you with a Phoenix .22. (inside joke) - OS
  21. My thought too. There are a lot of this type still around. Walgreen next to UT campus still has one on front door, even: - OS
  22. I'll start posting some much cheaper alternatives I like, so maybe you won't become the highest tech guy in America living under a bridge. - OS
  23. See other thread, really erroneous info, although certainly, the prosecutor was overzealous to the max and does have a conviction for abuse of office on a previously unrelated investigation. Btw, it's pretty likely she was there when her roomie was killed; at the least she knows the true story (several US commentators concur, along with Fox's awesome Andrew Nepalitano . Certainly, she (and her boyfriend) may well have had a hand in it. But like the Anthony saga, the actual evidence was simply not there to convict her -- in particular, the forensics were totally screwed up or overblown beyond any sense of veracity. - OS
  24. Makes sense. You can't get drunk sitting at a table like you can on a barstool. - OS
  25. Again, his conviction had nothing to do specifically with the Knox case. The fact I said he should be in prison re the Knox case is my opinion only; he hasn't been charged with any misconduct regarding it. - OS
