  1. Dontcha just hate it when someone posts something provocative and doesn't follow up? I PM'd OP to please respond. - OS
  2. Works for me. - OS
  3. I've looked and looked, and don't see a Hi-Point? - OS
  4. Nah, we're good, eventually.
  5. Not correct. Correct. From TCA, TNDOS will: "Send one (1) set of the fingerprints received from the department to the federal bureau of investigation, request a federal criminal history record check based upon the fingerprints, as long as the service is available, and send the results of the check to the department." - OS
  6. Vindice is verb form so probably closer to "God Will Vindicate (us)". But whatever, every cause touts God as being on its side. Except Old Abe himself: "...my concern is not whether God is on our side; my greatest concern is to be on God's side.." I'd opine that if the celestial buck does stop somewhere, The Proprietor has zero interest in the petty doings of homo sapiens. - OS
  7. Yes, Barney. - OS
  8. Deo Vindice was the CSA's claim, not mine. - OS
  9. We're into about the 10th generation of copies of copies of these now. Tucker should have patented them better, and protected them, he'd be richer than Bill Gates by now. - OS
  10. God didn't come through. As usual. - OS
  11. As far as I know, it's not a legal issue (no law against it), but just policy due to perceived liability from reselling possibly damaged ammo or some such? - OS
  12. I've haggled some on stuff I really wanted, not just for yuks, though. Even a big retailer like T&T knocked about 5% off for cash, but only when asked. - OS
  13. That sounds like a serious comment. Surely you're not serious. Are you serious? - OS
  14. My yeti is laughing at this. - OS
  15. Any interstate sale requires that by federal law, it's not like they have a choice, ya know. - OS
  16. I've handled one. Gotta be honest, IMNSHO, meh. Maybe okay for twenty bucks but certainly not for $55+. Not molded/boned for custom fit to gun, no cant. No deeper carry than a better holster with double attachments off sides on "wings". Still has the drawback of attachment point being at the already thickest part of the holster/gun rather than off sides. But I hope it works for you. Tuckability with mostly hidden clip are good points, though I've never had much luck tucking any size gun. - OS
  17. You don't need a permit to open carry in KY. - OS
  18. They are a helluva lot faster than the typical Romero zeds, though. MUCH faster than they were in 1968. - OS
  19. Usually just commandeer a table and stay with it. Since I can go on weekdays, I go on weekends as much for socializing with folks as the shooting, sometimes I'll free my table and shoot off and on on a compatriot's location if it's crowded -- although I probably popped off 250 rounds of .223, 9mm, and .22LR today and 25 or so through Dolomite's street sweeper. PM me if you want to hook up next weekend, you can ride with me, assuming some of us go. I'll run ya by the PD and get ya oriented. No reason to do just a one day "test" for half of what it would cost ya to join through June. Hell, you'll go a few times at least, pretty much guarantee it. edit: If I go next weekend, probably Sunday again, will probably go to gun show on Sat. - OS
  20. I don't think I'll have any qualms about at least showing my piece in a clear disparity of force situation and I'm counting on common sense to know if I'm dealing with serious contenders. Certainly there are potentially life and death situations defused all over this country every day by folks showing their heaters. Yeah, worst case short of actually popping caps is aggravated assault, but not likely methinks -- I see a serious beating as justifiable fear for my life, and I don't say that just because I've edged into geezerhood either. In any case, isn't that why we carry? Ultimately better to be facing a court than be maimed for life or worse. - OS
  21. Me and Garufa and Dolomite up at Norris today. Rifle range stations all stayed pretty much occupied, but enough movement that nobody had to wait over 15 min to get one. Plus more than one can use a position if you're among friends. Much enjoyed your Saiga shottie, Dol! Another feller showed up with one toward the end of our stay with a drum on it, too. - OS
  22. Still use 'em for backdrops some, but they tend to shine in the light almost as much as stainless steel. They're actually from the 70's, yeah baby! Weren't all that great in practice, though, you'd tend to slide right off the damn bed in the heat of action. - OS
  23. Clinton Wally has the AR also. Mini14 Ranch same price as couple years ago, too: $617 - OS
  24. Says he's gonna go like this inside Kentucky capitol building in Jan. No comment. - OS
  25. Just nope. Even if you have "seen" them "all around" (unless you are about 120 years old). - OS
