TN democrat party gun control survey
Oh Shoot replied to Hershmeister's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Assuming they still have it, it ceased being updated as of April 19, 2013 by law. - OS -
If you could only have one gun, what would it be?
Oh Shoot replied to Pete123's topic in General Chat
Or an AR rifle with .22LR conversion bolt. Or make that a 10.5AR pistol that in WROL environment becomes a SBR. - OS -
TN democrat party gun control survey
Oh Shoot replied to Hershmeister's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
They probably send an email to see if valid address before counting the vote. Assuming they're gonna report the actual results correctly in the first place, that is. -
No, he's in Nashville. We have, or have had, several Knox ones on TGO, but the only one I can still find is: JReedEsq http://www.knoxvilletnlaw.com I personally know one the big time criminal lawyers around here, Randy Reagan, has handled a bunch of high profile cases. Not surprisingly, he wouldn't be among the cheapest. http://www.randallreagan.com/ - OS

Sounds like incomplete info to me, as that doesn't make much sense. Doctors contract to accept certain insurance companies, not "ACA". Since all the insurance companies that offer plans through the online exchanges also offer them just straight to consumer, there's really no difference, if a doctor accepts Blue Cross/Shield, Aetna, UHC, Cigna, whatever, then he accepts all the plans from those companies. What insurance company does he have? Then you'd have to actually look around to see who takes it and who doesn't. I can't imagine hardly any docs don't accept insurance from any of the carriers that also offer their programs on the ACA exchanges, otherwise they'd be basically on a cash-only basis. - OS

Well, just like before, one goes uninsured. There are still about 28 million uninsured in the US (measured through 2015), and even HuffPo admits in Feb article of this year that figure may hold pretty steady. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/obamacare-uninsured-rates_us_56b90b93e4b08069c7a872dd What they don't mention is that as rates soar, more of the newly insured will again lose coverage because they can no longer afford it, and the total may well simply climb back to pre-ACA levels. You'll note that both Hillary and especially Bernie have been ranting about how healthcare needs major overhaul. Same mantra as before Obamacare, eh? - OS

Another way to look at that (assuming one sees Lincoln as the good guy), is that his bodyguard was downstairs goofing off at the time Booth showed up to shoot him, so there indeed was no good guy with a gun to stop him. - OS

1 in 9 adults in TN now have HCP
Oh Shoot replied to jgradyc's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
I wonder how many still get the permit because they think they need it to carry in vehicle. I myself first decided to get one just for that purpose, since I had an illegal one stashed in the car most of my adult life (and did get popped for it once, too). - OS -
You joke, but we really do have snipe hunting here, and you can only shoot them in season. - OS

McCain Wants To Destroy the Govt Surplus of 1911 Pistols
Oh Shoot replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Good chance he'll get beat by an official full fledged Dem, so that'll be better, right? - OS -
Hi Viz company might have the answer?

Three more: SBR tax stamp. - OS

That seems to happen still at 2am, and really doesn't take but about 15 min or so. At least that's only how long it's totally dead. - OS

Many, likely most, rear sights with one piece picatinny base require that. Both Magpul and PSA ones do. Both those look like maybe Magpul ?, so I really don't see how you got either on where they are without sliding it on rail in the first place. (You have to remove through-bolt first, but you knew that, right?) - OS

Geez, weren't they the biggest?

Really crawling mostly right now. Seems to really slow down about 10 or 11. Clicking on notification links or posting is the slowest of all. Comes and goes. Must be the late night porn and gambling sites that are on same server or something. (I know it still seems to still shut down totally for a while at 2am, not talking about that). Well, I'm a political junkie to a certain extent, but not quite enough so to frequent the purely political discussion sites, do I've always liked the option here, as it's nice to mix in a bit of that with all the gun stuff too in one stop browsing. - OS

Me either. And Tricky, the Smith Victory runs it fine too. - OS

No, I'm just on home puters, Comcast cable.

What can't you do? I've perused the site pretty much the same way since I've been here, though all the various iterations of both brands and versions of the control software. The only thing I see as actually gone from previous versions is being able to see user name history, unless I've overlooked it somewhere. - OS

Yep. A year after the G43 was released, my Kahr PM9 is still smaller and still with same capacity. - OS

NRA lobbyist Chris Carr on Orlando
Oh Shoot replied to Dustbuster's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Chris Cox maybe? -
Ya probably ought to seal the wood with something. Here's the one I left "blonde". Didn't get fancy, I just removed all the wood, removed butt plate, and used several coats of Formby's Low Gloss Tung Oil Finish, inside and out, even down the cleaning rod hole. (It's not anything like using real tung oil, which takes a month or two to do right, this stuff dries in a few hours for each coat). Surprised by how accurate the thing was, I went ahead and added a cheapo 4x scope too.
