  1. Urban Camo Paracord. Hell, if it's tied to both gun and person, it's more secure than some pocket carry we've all seen!
  2. Sounds "logical", but of course most firearm restriction decisions aren't. - OS
  3. Unless you really know that any given check uses exactly the same databases used by both NICS and TICS, you'll still never know for sure until you do a 4473. - OS
  4. No holster is required. You can dangle it from a string iffen ya wanna. - OS
  5. Don't see how it doesn't apply, as refers to " A person, business, or other entity that owns, controls, or manages property..." - OS
  6. It was "okay". Pretty short really, I'd call it a novelette/novella. Volume I had included another couple stories best I remember. None of the three movies end like the book, although the first Vincent Price one comes the closest. - OS
  7. Well, it started out as making a place that DID post liable for harm to anyone who could NOT carry there. Then the amendment made it so that anyplace that did NOT post was NOT liable for same. Not exactly the opposite, but a totally different emphasis. But what it does is still beg the question as to whether a biz which DOES post CAN be liable. Now, according to attorneys' opinions I've read here and elsewhere, case law would say they can not, unless they had knowledge of a quite specific threat and failed to take measures to attempt to thwart it, but then again I don't think that has ever been applied specifically to this issue, so I dunno. - OS
  8. No -- though it is completely different from how it started, it protects the business that does NOT post. Read it again. "... shall be immune from civil liability .. based on failure to adopt a policy that prohibits weapons..." - OS
  9. Also, check out its two predecessors, The Last Man on Earth (Vincent Price) and The Omega Man (Charlton Heston). All three based on the Matheson story. - OS
  10. They aren't zombies in 28 Days/Weeks Later. Don't have to shoot 'em in the head to kill 'em, though that's certainly most effective, just like with normal people. They also eventually starve to death. - OS
  11. Too sad. UTK's numero uno class act in history of athletics. - OS
  12. Must be difference in user permissions then, as when I go to that using Chrome, same as with FireFox and IE, that field is dead to me. Thanks for the detective work, guess David will have to splain. - OS
  13. Yes, dark. Here's what it looks like with default: Totally confused now, though, as I still can't "rate" a thread either way, yet the other thread by JackDog now shows 5 stars lit up with either theme, presumably because YOU have rated it? (but I can't rate one with either theme) - OS
  14. Curiouser and curiouser... using Firefox or IE on Windows 7 box, I don't have that at all: edited to add Oh, okay, that jibes with the screeen shots I already posted. However, I can NOT click on them, not even in the Trump thread that shows one lit. Can you actually "rate" one with that worded link on your phone? - OS
  15. I can't find a "rate this topic" option anywhere, even in the forums where the stars appear, or in the Trump thread either. - OS
  16. Have noticed it too, but looking further, seems that star field only appears at all in two forums: 2nd Amendment Issues and Political News and Discussion, and indeed shows in every thread therein: But you're right, only the Trump Dumpster thread seems to have one of them "lit": It doesn't seem to be a measure of how "hot" a thread is though, as there are longer ones where the field appears but none have a star lit up. Odd. - OS
  17. I admit I haven't perused the subtleties of this one yet since it doesn't affect me, but seems that may indeed be the case. "Employee" does not include a person who is enrolled as a student at a public institution of higher education, regardless of whether the person is also an employee" - OS
  18. Yeah, if you want to put all that personal philosophy and wisdom in a nutshell, you can do an "about me" section that shows when one visits your profile. - OS
  19. Hope he's aware new law doesn't cover him unless he's a full time employee too. - OS
  20. Thought they were all removed about a year ago nationwide, so that's surprising. - OS
  21. Oh, okay. I just happened to look at a couple on the last link you posted, it said no pump or semi-auto. - OS
  22. But you're limiting yourself to single/double barrel shotgun only for your "one gun". - OS
  23. You'd have to ask Max Kingery in Martinsville, but he'd probably rule that it has no other useful purpose but to "redesign" the firearm to be fired from the shoulder, as it has not even the niche purpose (theoretically) served by a pistol forearm brace. - OS
