Ron Paul is in The Fight of His Life, We Must Stand With Him!
Oh Shoot replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well, he's been endorsed by Stormfront, so he's got that going for him. Let Iran get the bomb and let Israel fend for itself - and Newt gets called zany? There goes the Jewish vote, btw. And now that the years of racist newsletters are being bandied about, there goes any of the black electorate that may be willing to defect to him. And much of any of the now disgruntled white voter percentage that went with O for no other reason than to show they weren't racist. But it doesn't matter, he never had a real chance, just a bigger blip on the radar this time than usual because the rest of the GOP field is not only as weak as four years ago, just more of them to scatter the support. Everybody's still looking for the non-Mitt and Paul's poll surges are after all about only Iowa right now -- sometimes things play there that can't even get a booking elsewhere. Ask Mike Huckabee, for example. - OS -
I think I made a really bad mistake this evening.
Oh Shoot replied to mav's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Can't believe you've held out this long. I'm actually trying to strictly limit my time there anymore. It's like freaking smack. I don't have but a couple or three knives even cost over a c-note, but "wow, gotta have that for only 25 clams" addiction really adds up in a hurry, too. - OS -
Wow, that's cold. But afraid I laughed anyway. - OS

Comes right after they teach the Exposed Convoy Delay, Emergency Brake Vehicle Block, and Prone Ditch Evasion techniques. - OS

Most every router has inbuilt controls over each computers access, as far as days, times of days, etc. Can block various protocols. You can also block individual URLs, but of course that's impossible, as you have to add each one manually. Mine does allow blocking by keyword, though, but still a losing battle I'm sure. Mine's an old Linksys, some may come with more sophisticated blocking that's a software add on, dunno. At any rate, look into your router first, just to see what's available in there in the firmware. Generally http://192.168.1.1, as I guess you know. You can also as I'm sure you know let her run on just a guest account and block IM and whatnot, assuming WinDoze, prolly with Macs too? Actually that's a good idea anyway, so she can't possibly screw up the OS and proggies. So there's a good bit you can do for free. But for really restricted surfing, you probably will need to find another software solution that uses a constantly updated master list of sites by category. You will need to find one that allows choices for each computer connected to a router though, otherwise you'll be as restricted as yer youngin. No advice on which one, but I'm sure none are perfect either - it's a big web (even though I've been to the end of it a couple of times ) I'm sure I'd have to start with a general search for reviews, myself: https://www.google.com/search?q=parental+control+software+reviews&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a\ best of luck. - OS

When Eric Holder wants your opinion on US law, he'll give it to you. - OS

That's right, I have read that before, forgot, thanks. The part that's not in there is the distances mandated for the range part. - OS

Y'all gonna shoot yer goobers off one of these days.

'bout 5 hours, 6 tops, with good bit of killing time breaks included. TCA doesn't mandate any time stipulations (except 4 hours classroom for military exemption), that must be in the "rules" given to the schools, don't know how it's exactly worded. - OS

Wow, so the Vatican made that cover? Blessed by the Pope? - OS

Older friend (than even me) went to a physical -- doc wanted blood, urine, stool, and semen samples. So he left his underwear. Damn, he's probably a zombie! - OS

Oh, I got it, and if I hadn't your "" was a pretty good hint. - OS

I always suggest this: logout, zap all TGO cookies, make your initial login at www.tngunowners.com/forums/, NOT at base address of www.tngunowners.com Just the login location seems to make a diff for some without clearing cookies, so that's an easy first thing to try. - OS

Yes. Can't put my finger on it, but there's a fairly recent video from some state discussed here where the LEO made a big deal about it because the guy didn't tell him first words out of his mouth after a stop. Was pretty extreme case, though, I'd say - cop was way out of line in general. - OS

Wonder if the Lib Party will actually name him, they may well still hope Paul comes over after Super Tuesday. Their convention isn't until May. - OS

None of the real conservatives have gotten legs. Perry is obviously a doofus, makes Dubya look like Mensa Rhodes Scholar; Cain's goober beat him out before folks came to admit they really don't want THAT much of an "outsider", and Bachmann, well, not real sure why she's never caught fire. Newt's an ever changing FrankenPol, a patchwork of now you see me now ya don't on the right/left continuum. Huntsman is only right of middle left. Something's just "off" with Santorum, he won't catch fire if he takes to wearing Sterno suits. So looks like I'll be voting for a guy I wouldn't buy a used car from, unless something really wild happens, like a brokered convention where an hitherto unheralded Shining Knight appears to Save America. - OS

Well, odds that GOP winner in contested Iowa caucus gets the nomination are exactly 3:3 since '76, so it's a coin flip. But Paul ain't gonna be it, and winning Iowa won't change that. Huckabee's on line two, and he's all there, without Paul's lunatic half plus age. Although most American Nazis agree RP is da man. Axelrod has quit praying for Paul to be the opponent, knows it won't happen; watch for more and more Dem Pac Attack ads focusing on Romney, as Axelrod hoping that he might get Newt as consolation prize. Mitt's been vetted to death, won't be any more surprises, just rehashing of the same ole, he's a lock unless he gets snuffed or something. - OS

I've had to quit reading CDNN's emails re specials, too. - OS

Sadly, Mitt is the only one that for sure who can beat Barry, and he will be the GOP nominee -- but could also be perceived as having too many damaged goods by the independent voting bloc by the time he finally gets the nod (not to mention disgruntled conservatives who may throw away their vote to "conscience"). And the Dem machine won't have had much to do with that, all his damages will be incurred from other Rep candidates. Who Mitt picks as running mate will probably as important as in any previous election in history. - OS

CRKT has some innovative stuff; I really like the little Minimalist neckers. It's just that CRKT, just like Cold Steel, is not a knife manufacturer at all, but a knife designer, and everything is contracted out to unnamed makers abroad, none are made in US. Kershaw does both, designs and manufactures. About half made here and half in China -- as far as Chinese stuff, some of the best made are found in Kershaw's lower end products; I have a Tremor in back pocket right now. Only got one new blade "for Christmas", tacked on a Cold Steel Pocket Bushman to an Amazon order for something else. Long story, and not exactly sure how I did it, but I also managed to use it to inflict a Lifetime Top Ten Laceration on left palm two weeks ago, meaty part below thumb. Really should have gone and gotten stitches, but was on a Fri night, no walk-in clinics. By Monday, decided as long as it didn't get infected, I'll just let it do it's thing, looking like it's gonna be okay. - OS

No, sigh -- as I suggested, read the statute. Rest of sentence is "owned or leased by the Federal Government, where Federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties." Unless the VA personnel regularly set up their desks and operating rooms in the parking lot and on the sidewalks, I'd posit this doesn't fit the definition. And no, federal employees do not mow the grass or pave the parking lot, either. Although the "building or part thereof" is logically and I'd say rather obviously meant to cover places where the feds lease only part of a building. - OS

.380 vs .38+p........... ? which is more lethal ?
Oh Shoot replied to SonnyCrockett's topic in Handguns
Most popular ones I know of are locked breech: Ruger LCP, Kel-Tec 3AT, Kahr P380, Sig P238, SW Bodyguard, etc. - OS -
That's interesting thought. I have never seen or read a depiction of a zombie doing either of those. - OS

I read the whole post. Just responding to the part you quoted regarding the federal law, which was patently inaccurate. As far as posting the whole property, they can do that under TN law. You can debate whether how they do that is statutorily compliant or not, but they can do it, and it'll be up to LEO/judge as to whether it's compliant enough if charged under the state law. So, in the parking lot you could be charged under state law, and in the building you could be charged under both state and federal law. The fallacy with this part on the VA's part is that TN is about the only state that has a penalty for the mere act of carrying past a sign in places where the federal statute does not address, so if they're posting the parking lots in other states, it carries no weight under state or federal law. - OS

If zombies rotted enough to smell, then they'd rot away entirely in a week or two. There wouldn't be anything left to keep them moving. One of the most illogical parts of the whole genre. - OS
