  1. Michael seems to have some significant hooters, and a delicate little necklace? Image URL is from: nitrosell.com, which they probably use(images.nitrosell.com/product_images/7/1748/large-cs62ngx.jpg), can see New Graham Knives on the tee shirt, sure enough. I have one (The Espada), but didn't have a pic of it. - OS
  2. I count this as quite a loss to the minority sane part of the news industry. - OS
  3. from your post: "... In addition, Federal law requires that the carrier be notified that the shipment contains a firearm and prohibits common or contract carriers from requiring or causing any label to be placed on any package indicating that it contains a firearm." -------------- The BATF FAQ is simply wrong on this point, has been wrong for as long as it has been on the site. Law (both USC and CFR) says notification only if going to a non licensee in interstate or foreign shipment. If sending to a FFL , or in any intrastate shipment, no notification required. http://codes.lp.find...ode/18/I/44/922 (section (9) ) http://ecfr.gpoacces....3.1.13&idno=27 Note: revised post 3 - OS
  4. Federal law: it's fine to ship a handgun or long gun instate. If it is not going to a federal license holder and in interstate or foreign shipment you are supposed to notify. You can ship a long gun through USPS but not a handgun. Actuality: You can ship long gun through USPS, UPS Ground, or FedEx Ground, or any of their overnight services, but If the long gun is NOT going to a licensee, and you inform, UPS will probably not ship it, even though their TOS allows it. FedEx almost certainty will not, as their TOS only allows shipping to or from a FFL. USPS will generally ship a long gun even if you notify, but depending on the idiocy level of any given clerk, or even station manager, not guaranteed. Point is though, notification is not required for intrastate shipments to anyone by federal law. If you can generate shipping label yourself with any of these carriers, just drop and go. - OS

    S&W M&P 15X

That's the Sport model only AFAIK. "M&P15" covers a variety of of S&W AR models. - OS
  6. Couldn't carry concealed where alcohol served, but could open carry (which doesn't require a permit, even). So permit holders carrying concealed would "tuck" their shirts so that the gun showed in their waistband. - OS
  7. Bzzt. .40S&W,.22mag, .223, .44 Mag can be either/both
  8. Though I understand what you're driving at, it is of course legal for anyone not ineligible to own a firearm to have them in their cars in TN. "Loaded" is the only distinction tween the 95% and the 5%. - OS
  9. If I only had one gun I could shoot, I'd play a lot more golf. - OS
  10. The line grays considerably though, when you consider that your vehicle is also YOUR personal property, and not that of the owner of the parking lot on which it sits. Especially when there's no reasonable alternative to where you must park to work there. Should a property owner reasonably expect to curtail other of one's rights, say free speech among the passengers of a vehicle while it is on his property? Can he prevent you from praying or reading the Bible or Koran in it? Can he take possession of your vehicle because he doesn't like it? - OS
  11. Just likely another decision influenced by corporate lawyers, based on perceived liability. FedEx is as uptight a place regarding guns as I know. Hell, you're not even supposed to carry a pocketknife past the guard shack. In my three years at Ground, the only vehicle searches to my knowledge had to do with theft by the loaders or hired drivers of the actual contracted ones. And every driver had a pocketknife of course, wasn't an issue through security if you were a driver; hell, we had to open any number of boxes any given day, how else to do it? - OS
  12. Why not ask the folks who do it? http://forum.opencarry.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?108-Mississippi - OS
  13. Rubio is the obvious choice still, I think, IF Rubio will play. Southern vote plus surely much of the Hispanic would come on board. Would make the ticket much more palatable to the Tea Party and far right, too, would seem. Especially with the possibility of Mario Marco taking the reins 8 years down the road. However many feel there's "no diff" between the two parties as to the ultimate path we're on, I'd opine that 12-16 years of GOP dominance will result in quite a different country than the same under the Dems. Just four more with an ideologue having nothing to lose is frightening to say the least. - OS
  14. Another consideration: if sanitation breaks down, cholera will be rampant. It can kill in 2 days, but is quite easily treated, IF you have sugar and salt. Optimum fluid replacement has other stuff in it, but simple sugar and salt in clean water will do it in majority of cases. So don't forget the sugar, too, it's more than just a luxury item. - OS
  15. IF Mitt can win, and he's the only one who can, I think we all might be surprised at how competent a prez he may be. I was impressed with his win in Michigan, as he lost 10% right off the top with Dem votes, probably heavily UAW comprised. - OS
  16. He's probably inspired by the Crusades. Christians vs the Muslims. Perhaps we'd get a new Cabinet of Inquisition for us heretics. - OS
  17. I buy 'em where they're cheapest. Even though all the ammo at WalMart is from China, and the American guns are made from Costa Rican parts assembled in Tierra Del Fuego. - OS
  18. Senate confirms SCOTUS candidate. Hopefully would dodge the most radical ones that O could think of if Senate goes GOP. Sotomayor (9 of 40 GOP yea votes) or Kagan (only 5 of 41 GOP yea votes) probably wouldn't have made the cut if Senate had been GOP, since the party would likely coalesce as a bloc. - OS
  19. Between who? Blacks and Hispanics are 12.6 and 16.3 % of US population respectively. Even if they join forces, whitey has quite the edge. - OS
  20. The ocean water from TN would be really nasty, I'd say. - OS
  21. The Virginia tuck for bar carry is no more -- that was the most absurd one I knew of. - OS
  22. The solution is to merely let 'Stan simmer in its own iron age juices, just as it always has. No reason to keep proving it is the graveyard of empires. - OS edit: AFAIK, Kieffer, 'Stan is not known to be particularly oil rich.
  23. Wow, wasn't even aware they had that law to begin with. http://www.google.co...HIUxQ6Q&cad=rja I assume there was never a limitation on private sales there? ... so this would have been a pretty toothless one anyway. Note the same old tired litanies from the antis in the article. - OS
