  1. Hey, you believe in the letter of the law, go ahead and open carry, eh? - OS
  2. Well, I guess that's right come to think of it. I can make them, but just can't ever sell them unless I had a federal manufacturing license to make them in the first place, that the idea? - OS
  3. Learn me. I can buy them, but I can't make a receiver out of them? So why would I buy them? - OS
  4. Sorry, already claimed. - OS
  5. One that always gets me, and about as far as I can grok, is that even if we could travel at the speed of light (roughly 6 trillion miles per year) it's 4 years to the nearest star and 100,000 years across just our own local galaxy! - OS
  6. Referenced [5] off Wiki page as source: http://en.wikipedia....ki/Sons_of_Guns I don't know the legal status of them, never even heard of them before, but I can't buy one, must be some sort of federal accounting regarding them. Off topic to the topic, but I had never heard of this little gaffe either, quite a hoot, but quite a disruption too: "Dallas Fort Worth airport incident The Sons of Guns production company made the evening news when its staff member, showing a "colossal error in judgement" on the anniversary of the September 11 attacks, parked a rental truck containing automatic weapons and pyrotechnics outside the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport while waiting for a colleague. Part of Terminal B was closed for several hours while the FBI investigated but found no wrong doing.[12]" http://www.nbcdfw.co...-129620573.html - OS
  7. Their attorney says pretty much the same thing as what 48 South just did. Story from Baton Rouge TV station: http://www.wbrz.com/...ute-tmz-report/ That a couple of guns were stolen, they disposed of "receiver flats" they messed up (which I guess are "stripped lowers", even though their attorney says they weren't "guns", but of course they are as far as BATF is concerned) and didn't note any of this on their records, and made a deal with BATF to shut down the existing FFL.. All before the TV show even started, and by then they had another FFL with a different folks as principals. So what's the big deal? They screwed up their record keeping and got caught. Happened to a couple of TN based FFLs too, eh? - OS
  8. Try CCI Blazer bulk. Same round, really, same dimensions, just different bullets. - OS
  9. I ain't hooked. I swear I'm not. My post count proves it ... oh wait! - OS
  10. I'm not into the actual stargazing, but have been fascinated with all the info about the cosmos in general. The simple scale of the known universe being among the most constantly amazing aspect of all -- regardless of all the analogies used, it's simply astounding to try to wrap yer pea sized brain around it. The fact that we can actually look out at what we assume to be the very beginning of the known present universe, some 13 billion years ago, yet still have mostly unanswered questions sure puts ego in its place. Mostly. - OS
  11. If I win the kit, I promise to build an AR around it. - OS
  12. Far out, had no idea, thanks. Like a IBM, Underwood Typewriter, or Rock-Ola M1 carbine, pretty incongruous thinking about it looking back. - OS
  13. 32. Plus one. - OS
  14. WTF? Water cooled or something? - OS
  15. Now now, you'll be old and decrepit some day. Probably be stealin somebody's brass too, what with Social Security going under! - OS
  16. Don't see why. They fund conservative and libertarian causes in at least equal measure to liberal ones, much like the Cato Institute itself. As a matter of fact, if O is to be defeated, a significant amount of credit will be due to the Koch brothers. - OS
  17. "(a) It is a defense to the application of § 39-17-1307 (unlawful carrying/possession of weapon) if the possession or carrying was: ... (4) Incident to lawful hunting, trapping, fishing, camping, sport shooting or other lawful activity;" If you can convince a cop you are lawfully doing any of those on Gay Street, I guess you could carry it there. - OS
  18. The Beretta NEOS is same way. However, the plastic grip frame is not the receiver. Receiver (where serial number is, also) is part 81. Yep, Beretta gave me permission. - OS
  19. Absolutely. He said they would make mine go full auto. - OS
  20. Should have only paid 8, if you read TGO. I go to be among buds, but also just to be around so many guns in one place and usually to pick up odds and ends. At this one, I bought two used US AR mags for $5 each, and a cheap set of quick release hi rise scope mounts, $20, some Winchester subsonic .22 been wanting to try, $3.70 each, and a .223 broken shell extractor $6. Was actually looking for a cheap AR sized soft case, but didn't see any anywhere close to online prices, so will wait till I need something else online. I have bought 3 guns from actual FFLs at shows in the past though ... 2 were Hi-Points that I could NOT have beat T&T's price anywhere. And a tactical XD 9 that doubt I could have beat except maybe a little by doing online. For the most part though, it's just a pleasant ritual and social occasion, costs me $2 per hour for the entertainment. - OS
  21. Well, I f***** all of them I could! - OS
  22. Wow, where have THEY been? (I don't even remember the boyfriend at all). - OS
  23. From Wiki: "AMC renewed The Walking Dead for a third season on October 25, 2011 after the season two premiere broke cable ratings records in the 18–49 demographic. AMC president, Charlie Collier, said "We are thankful for everyone's contribution in front of and behind the camera as we continue to make The Walking Dead a unique television experience. And, we are so proud as it continues to set viewership records around the world." On January 14, 2012, AMC announced that the third season will contain an extended episode order of 16 episodes. On February 24, 2012, it was announced that David Morrissey had been cast as The Governor, a major antagonist in the comic series. Morrissey will be a main cast member in the third season, which begins production in the first quarter of 2012." - OS
