  1. Hell, losing the occasional small part is nothing -- I lost a whole handgun for about 6 months once. ! - OS
  2. A slogan in 2012 was, "if you voted for Barack in '08 to prove you aren't racist, vote for Romney in '12 to prove you aren't stupid." Didn't work. No improvement from either party this year either. - OS
  3. Well, if it were a Marlin 60 spring, it would likely fail. But an AR spring -- if it works, it works, and will keep working. - OS
  4. State, county, and city buildings have the same option for posting as any other establishment open to the public (with exception of civic recreational areas/facilities). Always have. BTW, don't you teach HCP classes? - OS
  5. Well, the only upside of the Ragers is that you don't have to hit only the brain. So unlike with actual Zeds, full auto would be a plus. - OS
  6. See, it's the worst fear, not really zombies but a Rage virus. Even deadlier 'cause they stay fast on their feet! - OS
  7. Oh, I bought a couple a year or more ago from one of the local usual suspects who was making an offer I couldn't refuse. Obviously not a mad one like you, Dr. Frankenstein. Actually, seems maybe only a woman can do it at all! - OS
  8. I did NOT actually try to put the slide back on either of them btw, if that's what you mean. Like Mikey, I just put the barrel in upside down to check "fitment". - OS
  9. Does same on G17 and G26 too. You can even latch the recoil spring to the ridge on top of the barrel. - OS
  10. Sort of the opposite. All Beretta factory 92FS mags have both cut outs in them, so will work. But some, if not most, of the military contract ones only have the upper one, so they won't work. (these are most of the "surplus" ones). This assuming that heater is indeed in Beretta spec to use Beretta mags period, of course. - OS
  11. Reference of King vs St. Vincent's Hospital is SCOTUS case about reemployment after National Guard service, btw? But anyway, yeah, if the DA thinks this encounter involved significant enough intimidation, then yeah, he can make case that aggravated assault is justified. As I said. The TN statute for simple assault requires that the person "Intentionally or knowingly causes another to reasonably fear imminent bodily injury". And rises to aggravated assault if same plus "Uses or displays a deadly weapon". The point is that some states have a separate law specifically covering "brandishing" of a firearm. TN does not, and the word is not even found in TCA. What seems clear cut is that the guy violated 39-17-1307. If that encounter is deemed "in public", then it's a Class A Misdemeanor. But then, a prosecutor doesn't have to press any charge he doesn't want to. - OS
  12. Not for carrying past a sign however. - OS
  13. TCA 39-17-1352 already says your permit will be suspended or revoked for a 1359 violation. - OS
  14. I bought the PM long ago when it was the only model they made in that size. - OS
  15. Especially in TN. - OS
  16. Why, because it's a Glock? (it's bigger, with same capacity -- unlike the Kahr, just that much too much larger for most folks to pocket carry comfortably). - OS
  17. That's aggravated assault, if she could prove it, or if he admits it. Could be even if just shown as act of intimidation. - OS
  18. Yeah, feels about the same, both remarkably gentle for such a small heater. Some claim it has to do with the offset feed ramp allowing lower bore axis. Or something. - OS
  19. The double stack 9/40 SHTF one will hold it. The flap won't fold over as far as in the pic is all.
  20. I have both, the CM has been as flawless as the PM, though I have a lot fewer rounds through it so far. Note though that if you get a precisely molded Kydex holster made for the PM, the CM is just enough different that it won't fit right. - OS
  21. Snag Mag is a nifty way to go, but it still effectively ties up a pocket, and I need all of mine, even wearing cargoes. - OS
  22. Again, there is no "brandishing" law per se in TN. Would have to rise to level of reckless endangerment or aggravated assault. - OS
  23. Yeah, rereading, I guess OP was specifically asking about a mag carrier that's IWB itself. But like you, I don't tuck in shirts, just wear polo style most all the time, so a mag outside belt isn't a prob, especially carried horizontally. And comfy -- it's enough to have the heater itself inside the belt line, would hate to add the thickness of a magazine also elsewhere. I guess if I wanted to do that I'd consider an IWB holster that had mag slot built in or something. - OS
  24. I'm still miffed about the cheap trick dumpster thang, so the writers better redeem themselves and snuff Glenn. - OS
  25. I mostly use this Steller Rigs pocket holster for my Kahr (and no, you can't do a super high speed low drag tacticool reload ) But, for IWB carry with bigger mag, spare mag in horizontal pouch from Black Arch (formerly SHTF Gear): - OS
