  1. Very strange: was re-reading thread, and some mod had changed "Kwik" to "Voldemort" way back when. I had to look up who Voldemort even is.
  2. Don't understand question. NM is saying since TN issues to some non-citizens, it won't honor TN permit. Has to be that one, as we are in compliance with the other points. - OS
  3. Looks to be true, updated info on NM's state page: http://www.dps.nm.org/index.php/nm-concealed-carry/reciprocity-agreements/ Looks like TN fails because of stipulation 4: "Permits issued to resident aliens" - OS
  4. Two or three have a penalty for posted bars, but I don't know of any at all that have one for general posted properties. Then again, I don't know of any other state that has felt it necessary to specifically pass a law to allow consumption of road kill either. TN lawmakers are always a vanguard within the nation's legislative intelligentsia. - OS
  5. So what's supposed reason for NM's hissy fit? TN honors all 49 states' permits, so I doubt if it will change even if true NM stops honoring ours. Would assume the residency change part would be full price instead of $50 if actual reciprocity is lost. Just noticed that WI is not listed as honoring TN permit, thought that was a done deal? - OS
  6. Better than shooting yourself with a Serpa. - OS
  7. ?? Cash and carry most everywhere until NICS check instituted in 2/94. - OS
  8. vBulletin, you had options up to at least 40, maybe more, can't remember. It's hardwired in with IPB though. There IS a "Show more posts" link on the bottom of some threads once you're in them, I forget when you see it, but it's not a permanent setting or anything.
  9. The audience really did laugh. Considering the student group, probably really was more of an adolescent dick joke to them though, than the fact that he's been the opposite of a big stick guy. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2012/04/biden-rebuffs-romney-on-iran-obama-has-a-big-stick/ - OS
  10. You aren't going to see a more conservative candidate than Mitt with a chance to win the presidency from here on. The fix is in, with almost 50% of households getting something from the gummit and only 50% paying into it. At least till things really crash and burn, Mitt's as right as we'll have a chance to actually elect. Prob is, when that happens we may not really have elections anymore either. - OS
  11. I grew up in Athens. Scottie is couple years younger, I hung with his older bro and sis some who didn't stay in the biz, Rob was in my scout troop etc. Which all qualifies me to say: Mayfield is a great dairy. - OS
  12. We're discussing premium discount for business firearms posting and now you want to somehow equate pit bulls at your home? Insurance companies have rates and rules, their agents can't just conjure up some discount out of the blue to sell a policy. Since you won't even "reveal" the company for me to call and verify (something that would reveal nothing about you or your friend's identity whatsoever), afraid I can only call same ole BS urban legend also. - OS
  13. THAT really is a sweet shooter. 'Course this 6S* thang will be too I'm sure. *Super Silent Single Shot Southpaw Slayer
  14. I'd say so, if the book is actually stored on the device. Reason I mention it that way, was that back when I did biz, if I uploaded a web site to out of state server, I didn't have to charge customer sales tax on the labor, since "taking possession and primary use" of the product was not in-state. But if I gave them a copy on CD, then was required to pay sales tax. - OS
  15. Tell me the insurance company and I will do just that. I already told you that mine does not have that as an option. I don't believe any do, but completely and avidly willing to be proven wrong if you'll point me at the insurer in question, which will of course not give any clue as to your friend's identity. - OS
  16. Yeah, sounds like just at 2 weeks flat, a few days faster than usual from my experience.
  17. That's a recurring rumor on TGO, but we have never had actual verification from an insurer that that is true.. Matter of fact, see if your friend will come onboard and confirm that, naming the insurer, as we've not have any actual verification from a business owner that this has actually occurred in a policy clause. Frankly, I just don't believe it myself. For the simple reason that if it were an industry standard that posting lowered biz insurance premium, EVERY biz would be posted. Not even sure it would be a legal option for an insurer to offer; can see various interstate issues regarding that. Can tell you I've had a $100K liability coverage attached to my State Farm renters insurance ever since I started a biz in my home, and can assure you there is no option to lower premium for posting no guns. - OS
  18. Which is as mentioned, one of the first results from: (http://gun-deals.com...caliber=5.45x39) The very first one, also at SG, is the absolute cheapest per round found, buying 2160 rounds instead of 1080. - OS
  19. How does this square with KY having the same employment-at-will labor laws as TN? - OS
  20. Nope. But the question remains. The only way to dethrone Hussein is to elect Mitt. - OS
  21. Obama has proved to be a fine enough prez to deserve another four years, yes? You'll help him get that, yes? That's your only meaningful decision in Nov. - OS
  22. Same advice you don't seem to take -- last time I'll mention: http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php (http://gun-deals.com/ammo.php?caliber=5.45x39) http://www.ammoengine.com/ http://ammoseek.com/ - OS
  23. I've said it here since before the first primary. His national polling never really allowed any other logical conclusion. And I'll say it again, any candidate that TGO would nominate would lose in a landslide; we, unfortunately, are not indicative of the general electorate in today's US of A. Simply stopping BHO is now the most realistic exhibition of patriotism to which we can aspire. And I do think Mitt may surprise us all with his competency. I'm willing to spread around some significant scratch that if elected, he'll win a second term easily. - OS
  24. Hell, Amazon is cheaper than even Wally on some stuff. So local, my ass. I have simple policy on TN sales tax: don't ask, don't tell. Since TN Dept of Revenue hasn't asked me, I don't tell them. I did recently file three years of amended income tax returns with the state though, to recoup some taxes I shouldn't have paid if I had had decent tax prep. Let's see how Dept. of Revenue is about coughing up what they owe ME first. - OS

    92fs

3 or so slides total came off guns during extensive testing by the US military. There was a modification made when 92FS came out to prevent this, so if that's an accurate story, it was almost certainly a pre 92FS model, like the F, SB, or S. - OS
