So you just don't see "Member Title" field at all, or see it but can't change it? Here's mine, same "status" as you:

So, it wasn't all readable -- yeah, I'd say the issuing school info is sort of necessary, after all. Well, then....I'm sure they'll print ya another.... - OS

I see and can change "member title", hence "doubts most everything"; only status I have is normal Benefactor, just like OP. Has been that Benefactors can change that field even with the previous vBulletin. Did something get stepped on for some folks during the conversion to IPB? - OS

I like most everything. There's not a cuisine in the world I couldn't sit down and get stuffed on. 'Bout the only thing I actually just never put down the hatch is buttermilk. Don't know how I got turned off on it growing up. Love every other dairy product produced, I guess. - OS

Yeah, probably true. Don't know UPS or USPS policy on how they actually handle that. But certainly getting caught slipping an interstate person to person firearm under the radar could be quite unpleasant, AND exactly according to the federal law. That may be main rationale for the shippers' TOS about notification in the first place, dunno, though I can't think what the overnight for handguns accomplishes except additional revenue. I've only sent one pistol and two long guns in recent memory, and no call tags issued by the companies. Used UPS. Since I have an account, just packaged up and printed labels myself, dropped at UPS store, no worries (even though they say must go through hub/full service place -- but I think that may technically be just for walk-in out of pocket sales?). But I did send the handgun the cheapest class of overnight, the rifles ground, didn't cut any corners there. And no federal laws or shipping class TOSs broken. - OS

FedEx has no responsibility to deliver a package that was not authorized under its TOS to be sent in the first place. Doesn't matter who discovers when along the way. It wasn't just the time (30 min for the one stop); it cost me more just in fuel/wear and tear to deliver it than I made. Took a minute or three to open a package and tape it back up, as opposed to a 30 minute trip to lose money -- on something that shouldn't have been in our system in the first place. Sort of a no-brainer. 'Course it should have been a no brainer for the sender to ship according to the rules he agrees to by using the service, eh? Don't get me wrong, didn't give one hoot about whether shipper was getting away with something or not, I was far from being a "company man". Was actually the "loyal opposition" at best, most of the time. If the Para place was right around more of my regular stops, would always have delivered. Just a case of using the actual rules in my favor to make a buck, or rather, to not lose one. - OS

I can bust a clay and hit a tin can 'bout every shot at 122.5 years yards with 10/22. (that's the actual distance of the "100 yard" stands at the Norris range a bunch of us frequent. Just so happens that the 3-9 scopes I use, if zeroed at 50 yards, the ^ part of the vertical reticule where it first fattens up is 'bout perfect for that distance with the round I most often shoot (Blazer 40 gr. lead head). Guess I could find some memorable area on it to do same at 200 (longest range there). Lord knows Dolomite can do it -- what's cool is him shooting his suppressed AR with subsonic .22 at plate at 200. All you hear is the bolt and 1.5 second later the ping on the faraway plate. Every time! - OS

Well, there's no federal law about overnighting handguns, so doubt if BATF would get involved even if the shipper notified them -- unless it were illegal interstate shipment between individuals or some Class III violation or something. It's UPS and FedEx TOS only that they be notified that that any shipment contains a gun, and if a handgun, must go some form of overnight (of which there are generally up to 3 choices depending on size of destination city). If sent wrong class and discovered, they may send gun back to origin; there's also the chance it may disappear, and no claim would be paid because of the TOS violation. I assume all the ones I sent back up the line made it back to owner, but I have no way to know if they did or not -- nothing would surprise me re FedEx Ground, impossible to underestimate the ethics of the that corporate culture. - OS

My wife finally took her carry class

I thought the target was mandated as the standardized silhouette type, whatever it's called? (good shooting) - OS -
Very, IMHO. First clue should have been when he didn't prosecute Black Panthers for obvious, recorded voter intimidation; second clue is that he has now sued 1/3 of the states in the union over one thing or another on which he believes the Naked King should not be challenged. With other politically partisan mischief sprinkled in, noticeably lately for running around and stirring up black groups with claims of how the GOP is attempting to keep them from voting and whatnot. - OS

Bible-college student arrested in New York for having pocketknife
Oh Shoot replied to mcurrier's topic in General Chat
You won't find "no lock back knives" in the law; it's just the interpretation of them that has been mandated by the DA, Cyrus Vance, Jr., - OS -
It doesn't get enough "points" under the BATF system to be imported. Actually, most Glocks barely do, period. I guess if they made it in factory here, it could be sold here. But, smaller one is same size as G26/27, so who would practically want one, except maybe for folks who collect one of everything? Can't imagine any US LEAs wanting them either? - OS

I imagine USPS packages can be also, maybe just not by delivery driver. For example try to send something in drop box over 13 oz. with stamps on it, and I'd say it might get a check. Either opened or xrayed or whatever. Before it's returned to you. - OS

Nifty. There are several 300 year .22 "lethality" tests. Was trying to find the denim wrapped turkey one, but here's a similar one on meat:

Good for you kiddo ... my guess is you'll never want to sell it (unless maybe you score a Marlin you like better). My .357 carbine is right up there for perhaps overall fav rifle I own. - OS
