No, it's broken somehow or other, locked out. - OS

"Knows or has reasonable cause to believe".... is the only requirement as per federal law. That's why successful stings are always, "hey I live in the next state, but...", or "hey I can't buy a gun from a dealer, but..", etc. - OS

No, certainly not a blanket law saying that simply by virtue of not being charged you are immune. Combination of 50-1-312 and 39-11-622 come into play, which might help in most cases I guess. - OS

You went into the future to order from the past, awesome control over space and time Monkey! - OS -
Quite a review. "No complaints even though I have the complaint that sometimes it doesn't work." - OS

On PC using the dark theme, except for the additional fields on the right on entry page, I don't see any change at all, so no gripes here. - OS

A fitting season's end I reckon. How art the mighty fallen! - OS

A lesson about pursuit of a BG?
Oh Shoot replied to Randall53's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Very iffy situation. Deadly force justification is the same whether inside or outside your home. The only difference is that inside the home (or vehicle), you have the initial assumption that you indeed did have reasonable fear of imminent death or severe bodily injury. That of course can be negated even inside the home with certain evidence -- it is not a unlimited license to wantonly shoot a perp, let alone execute him if can be shown that at that moment you no longer had that reasonable fear. Outside the home, you have no duty to retreat, but that's not the same as saying you have the right to advance. Once you've defended the home, and the perps are fleeing, seems the sanest plan if you're still in fear of life and limb is hit the damn deck inside the home and let them go. Legally able to still return fire? Dunno, very iffy. - OS -

TN law isn't relevant in MI. - OS -
He's proposing changing law so that if you aren't charged in a shooting incident, also can't be sued. - OS

Free shipping! - OS -
Hot damn, think I'll run over there and get it then -- it was only the 200 clams and 9 month wait that was deterring me! - OS

Good luck with sharpening that AK bayo into a slicing machine on that hand stone, Sasha. I couldn't do it with a dang belt sander. edit: dang, Jesus is a Brit too, that's like half the principal cast over time. - OS

PSA has its $799 Premium Stainless 1911 at $599 with free shipping. http://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-1911-stainless-premium-1.html - OS -
The only minor carp I have with my PSA MOE one is that using the MagPul forend, they had to nix the traditional sling clip on the gas block hand guard retaining plate, so you have to add your choice of gizmo to the fore end if you want to sling it. I used a QD adapter, but putting it in most forward position touches left hand when shooting (even without sling loop attached) and is a bit irritating, and putting it further back doesn't balance well with actually carrying it unless you carry the AK upside down, but again, a small gripe overall I guess. - OS

Piqued my curiosity too, searching yielded no joy. Can only think they perhaps can make or have made models with a deeper finish on them? - OS

I don't think I've got the brains to operate it!

One helluva country all right. - OS

PSA has ALL FIVE of its AK models back in stock. Probably briefly: http://palmettostatearmory.com/ak-47/psak-47.html - OS

Can only point you to current permit holder data from TNDOS: https://www.tn.gov/assets/entities/safety/attachments/Current_HG_PermitHolders.pdf So it's simple to know that initial outlay from all current holders was $116,208,600. Beyond that would take some figuring and guesstimating, plus this doesn't take into account whatever % at some point did not renew their permits or the small % that had them pulled. There's data back to 2008 there too: https://www.tn.gov/safety/article/handgun But you'd sorta have to guesstimate a renewal percentage x renewal fee per year and stuff like that. Also, of course, you'd have to know true admin costs, fingerprinting contract, and whatnot to know just how much wound up as "profit" in the state coffers. There are ATF statistics about 4473s per state per year too. 2015 there were about 650,000 in TN, so that's $6.5 million right there. https://www.fbi.gov/file-repository/nics_firearm_checks_-_month_year_by_state.pdf/view - OS

I imagine that's what it needs more of to be successful, good job. - OS

Gun stores will generally "appraise" a firearm as what they'd give you for it, which is almost always an uber scalping. - OS
