  1. Any adult not prohibited from firearm ownership by federal or TN law may in general possess a legally configured firearm in his private vehicle, loaded or unloaded -- however, to legally stash them in lot that is posted a lot on school property still requires carry permit. You may carry a firearm during the act of legal hunting. Fishing and other outdoor endeavors is a gray area, has been often opined that exception was intended pertinent to only the (previous) size limit on knives only, have never seen an official clarification of that by TN AG and know of no case law that would indicate one way or the other. - OS
  2. They both claim to make it, dunno. Not bimetal bullets like the Russian and Ukrainian stuff anyway. - OS
  3. Winchester and Freedom Muntions make some in handgun calibers. - OS I don't know know of any foreign steel cased ammo that isn't also steel jacketed bullet. - OS
  4. Can you do very much better handheld with a 2.5" pistol? Especially if it only had a single bead sight on front? - OS
  5. If I have to pull it out, screaming is fine. Hopefully done as the adversaries run away. - OS
  6. None of them do AFAIK, 'cept on the shipping label; even their branded rifle/upper boxes are inside plain outside box, so what's the point? - OS
  7. Front sight is cheating to the right then. But yeah, rear site to left could overcome that of course. That's all assuming rear sight wasn't tweaked to that position because of factory zeroing, which I have no idea if SIG does. - OS
  8. With FedEx, I know account holders of any size got benefit of the doubt on claims. There's a fierce competition between FedEx and UPS to get clients, contracts are bid regularly, that's why you'll see these biggies often use one for a few years, then switch to the other. A company would really have to abuse the claims process before they'd be nitpicked over them. Ground did rebox some, sometimes with reprinted label, if label intact just reattached by being cut out and reattached with clear tape over it, would be shown in system as having done so (but not on regular trace to public, like when you track a package), but don't recall any obvious markings on the box that would indicate that. - OS
  9. The shipper is the one who collects on any claim. If PSA thinks the damage was done by UPS, they'll put one in if they want to fool with it. High volume account holders have their own procedures for that. I delivered damaged packages all the time when I was with FedEx Ground. The difference in that division is that the contractor would likely be found responsible for any claim if he accepted the package and delivered it. If there was the slightest question that the contents might be damaged, I'd scan it as "needs inspection" and send it back through the system. - OS
  10. Love it! Sad part is, I'll bet a certain % of the real snowflakes wouldn't even perceive it as parody. There's an actual donation mechanism on savethesnowflakes.org, I didn't go through it, wondering if "it" will really take the money. - OS
  11. Yep. I suppose it would only matter if you were charged, and as defense put burden of proof on the place to prove when it first posted or something. Which we all know is pretty much a wash in the first place since we've yet to even have a test case about legitimacy of a non-complaint posting in the first place. - OS
  12. It's really a database and interface to all the streaming radio station sites around the world. You can go directly to specific website of any of them if you want to bookmark specific stations for periodic listening. That said, it's a helluva graphic interface and database/link effort, obviously must somehow stay pretty much up to date, which is the real feat however that part is done. I'm impressed enough to add it to FireFox main address bar so it's right there all the time. - OS
  13. That's my point. Unlikely to penetrate the skull, just fragments for a gory, but not instantly fatal wound. Unlike Mr. Gideon, I'd hate to make any animal suffer its way to protracted death. All "God's creatures", whatever. - OS
  14. I also didn't know there was a .garden domain name. - OS
  15. I guess you probably mean federal buildings, but just to be precise, TN state government has .gov registration also, and of course must be posted like any other entity. - OS
  16. Btw, meant to mention, Ruger says "DO NOT USE “STINGER” AMMUNITION IN 10/22 TARGET RIFLES". Mainly because of sticking and ruptured cases, but some folks claim accelerates throat erosion in all of them. - OS
  17. I've shot squirrels and rabbits with them back when, wasted damn near as much meat as got in the pot. Doesn't matter what you use if you can hit them in the head though, there's that. (though my uncle liked to suck their little brains). Case also longer than standard .2LR spec and driving band sits more forward, so surprising they would work better in a problematic heater. - OS
  18. Ah, thanks. Wasn't in the FAQ so had no clue. - OS
  19. Yeah, makes a really messy shallow wound, poor penetration. They are poor choices for anything larger than squirrels and rabbits, and also make an unnecessary mess of small game like that too. Hence, I consider them the worst possible .22LR choice for shooting most any living creature of any size. - OS
  20. They should understand this, then: NOT posting gives a specific immunity for that sort of thing in 1325, seems to me actually a more clear cut one than FOR posting as stated in 1359 (above). - OS
  21. I don't understand the diff between the 4 plans. They all say "No Contract/No Credit Check Hotspot with HIGH SPEED 4G LTE UNLIMITED DATA & No Throttling", yet they go from 100-250 clams, only diff seems to be the hardware device? - OS

  23. Assuming they were posted in any way as of January 1, 2015, that posting remains valid until January 1, 2018. - OS
  24. Hell, I got within 20 yards of one right off Sutherland Ave here in middle of Knoxville, major artery 3 miles from center of town. Likely they come in on the railroad tracks into the greenway areas from wherever. - OS
