  1. That give me any more credence to make citizen arrests?
  2. To my knowledge, though, that was never by federal law, only each state's decision? Which may be his point? - OS
  3. Ah, okay. This one is in the House. So unless the power structure has significantly changed, it'll languish in one of the two graveyard committees too I guess. I generally rely on WorriedMan to predict what seems to be possible for any given session, maybe he'll chime in. - OS
  4. My only pellet rifle (1000 fps max) , with built in suppressor is pretty much as loud any of my .22s shooting subsonic short of CB. Meaning, too loud to get away with it in Knoxville. Hell, even my Crosman pistol at 600 max is marginally same. - OS
  5. You mean "detractors"? Whatever, I'll be one. this was 3 years ago, and went the way of the Haslam/Harwell committee abyss in House. - OS
  6. Absolutely. Bell Buckle even has a festival: http://bellbucklechamber.com/bell-buckle-rc-moonpie-festival-general-info/ And of course it has inspired high musical artistry too: - OS
  7. What's Virginia's age standard btw? They almost already nuked us once not long ago, are they gonna follow suit? Loss of VA of course really hurts lots of folks here. - OS
  8. Ah thanks KM. Seems prob was that I wasn't always getting that popup after I selected. Also, sometimes I click on the checkboxes multiple times, and they don't get selected, then come back to them and I can do it. Win7 64bit, FireFox, no popup blockers or similar installed. Right now, I seem to get the trashcan dialog consistently, and checking the boxes on each message is better, but still somewhat problematic. David, if you're reading, is any of Invision Java dependent? (I uninstalled some time ago to trouble shoot something, never did reinstall it) - OS
  9. Just found I can't do it? Kind of dicey even selecting multiple messages, but when I do, the only delete button I can find anywhere only deletes the current conversation? If would take me hours to do them one by one. Am I missing something? (wouldn't be unusual of course ) - OS
  10. Thanks and duh, I didn't think of the Invision forum software itself being the source. - OS
  11. Yeah, I should have explained better and called it something more precise than "bunk". Statute amended in 2015 and also whole section added to labor law section to specify employee recourse if action taken against an employee for doing it. - OS
  12. I know some of you have trouble finding 5.56 mags that are uber reliable with .300BLK. So Magpul is gonna offer them soon, likely will work great. 16 clams from them initially anyway: https://www.magpul.com/products/pmag-30-ar-300-b-gen-m3-300-blk - OS
  13. That's all bunk. Read the actual statute. Unless it's a company leased vehicle, it's still "yours". Wording is, "in the permit holder's motor vehicle" ""Motor vehicle" means any motor vehicle as defined in § 55-1-103, which is in the lawful possession of the permit holder, but does not include any motor vehicle which is owned or leased by a governmental or business entity and that is provided by such entity to an employee for use during the course of employment if the entity has adopted a written policy prohibiting firearms or ammunition not required for employment within the entity's motor vehicles " And it covers any place your vehicle is legal to be parked, including school property. You can read the actual statutes at http://www.lexisnexis.com/hottopics/tncode/ Weapons section is 39-17-1301 and forward. This one 39-17-1313 - OS
  14. Just let 'em guess what's wrong with it and guess your address if the box gets lost, eh? Really, obviously you should tell them what's wrong with it. And sure, include your full address, phone number, email. And with prepaid label, any FedEx office location will take it (and so will UPS Store if SW uses UPS). And though you're supposed to declare a firearm as per FedEx or UPS policy (and they'll probably take it anyway), you only have to do that under federal law in shipments going between non-licensees. If you have to pay at counter and they know it's a gun, then yeah generally have to go to hub. Frankly, in guns with prepaid (or my own) printed prepaid labels to an FFL, I've just dropped them off without saying anything. I dropped one in a dropbox one time. UPS or FedEx can't put you in jail for not abiding by their TOS. If your own label, you just have to make sure a handgun is sent by an overnight class in case of any claim (they'll deny it otherwise), though seems the FFLs that have contracts with either of them are able to use second day air and such. - OS
  15. Just curious, what's with the rash of these identically styled ones recently, some default way to make them with the new Gravatar thang or something? - OS
  16. Well, anymore, as far as confiscated/buy back weapons, any guns in TN that aren't kept for use by a LEA must go through some conduits for "public sale", as they can't be destroyed unless are inoperable or unsafe. All covered in 39-17-1317 I don't know where the statute is regarding disposal of LEA departmental purchased weapons. - OS
  17. Yeah, looking closer, it has an o-ring to help seal, and also looks like helps hold onto the barrel when stored. edit: duh, plainly stated in product details: " Integrated storage compartment in the grip" - OS
  18. What's the removable plug thang in the grip? - OS
  19. Ever notice they never changed the prohibited weapons statute to even mention that as an exception? So you have one statute that says you can't possess one without NFA approval and one that says you can. Typical sloppy lawmaking. - OS
  20. Same as any other firearm, a per the original version, dunno if any changes in this one. - OS
  21. Website goes to generic hosting NetSol page. "marlinfirearms.com expired on 01/05/2017 and is pending renewal or deletion" Doesn't bode well, seems? - OS
  22. Where are you sending it that would cost that much? - OS
  23. Commentary/editorial/research content has been part of the "news" since 1700 in the US. At any rate, you certainly couldn't fill 168 hours/week with only the "undisputed facts", especially since so many of the news makers are so committed to hiding them. - OS
  24. As always, appreciate your largess, but doubt I'd mess with it. I have a .177 pellet rifle and pistol, and always reluctant to add another caliber. - OS
  25. Apparently this needs the shotgun primers for enough power? And then three fairly precise little dings toward the mouth to keep pellet from going to far into case or whatever. Lotta work to make a bunch of them would seem. - OS
