  1.   Yeah, 50 is probably the minimum from actual CPA or just well experienced tax filer even without the title.   1040A especially with a biz or 1040 not using standard deduction,  $200 and up. Possibly way up, depending on complexity.   - OS
  2.   My first thought also, however tin foilish it may be.
  3.   You read my post?   I'd say they looked ahead and knew they'd have trouble with the "taking" rulings on 5A.   - OS
  4.   "The suspect was believed to be highly trained with military experience"
  5.     And actually, it does not ban sale/transfer of existing grandfathered firearms/magazines, just as the '94 AWB did not.   So, should the worst happen, owners of weapons and mags would be sitting on potential small fortunes, especially over time, since the bill has no sunset, and could only be changed by future amendments or repeal.   - OS
  6. If if they are branded, like some from BCM, doesn't really tell ya who made them.   I'd also be surprised if any given bcg had all its components made by the same manufacturer either.   - OS
  7. MSNBC has already vilified various NRA board members who also have firearms related businesses as "merchants of death".  Ronnie Barrett, Pete Brownell, Bob Nosler, Steve Hornady, etc.   - OS
  8.   You know Jackson Hewitt never made that, right?
  9.   I've seen it said here they are in league with a pawn shop on the TN side that does the 4473 transfer, like across the street or something, whether they own it or not dunno.   If somebody sees this, they'll probably chime in, I know lots of TN TGO folks have  bought there, but I have not.   - OS
  10.   They charge for individual state modules and the versions that allow multiple filings, import previous return info, phone support, whatnot.   I've bought the $10 version the last two years so I can do Mom's also. She tithes and gives good bit to other charities through the year, and last year had a sizable out of pocket for dental stuff, so was able to beat the standard deduction by a bunch with long form, she got quite a little windfall back, and it walked me through every bit of it, wouldn't have had a clue otherwise how to do it.   Three versions, only one has free state module built in.   http://www.taxact.com/tax-preparation/   TN state module was a little lacking IMO, though, you had to know which type distributions are taxable and which are not, only gave you a help file from the state rather than walk you through each step with questions, like it does on the federal part. Now I know, so I'll just do the state form by hand, TN doesn't let you eFile anyway.     - OS
  11.   Kentucky windage, of course.
  12.   Or open carry.
  13.   O seems to be entirely left handed, basketball, golf, writing, governing.   - OS
  14.   My understanding is the info is passed from TICS to NICS, just that TICS checks some other stuff.   But the feds get the same info regarding the sale as they would in any state. No?   - OS
  15. Well, I'm sure caps will be lying around everywhere, whew! :)
  16.   Their regular stock of everything has been out for 3 months, they just get in bursts of stuff, then out again.   Even if it were true, why would LEA's care, if they're getting theirs?   Anyway, it's BS I'm sure. Every LEA in America couldn't eat up the inventory they've sold in the last 6 months. They also have 2 brick and mortar retail locations besides their warehouse location.   - OS
  17.     That old bit of lore has floated around for years, but the physician doctor part is a murky and unprovable figure. Particularly since most of the actual accidental deaths occur in hospitals where a doctor had nothing specifically to do with it.   You can read the various takes on it with just simple search.   https://www.google.com/search?q=accidental+deaths+by+physicians&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a   - OS
  18.   Sounds like GT Distributors in Rossville. They still do that.   - OS
  19.   I keep saying. Tax Act. It'll do 70 million if ya got it. 1 free eFile   http://www.taxact.com/taxes-online/free-online-tax.asp?s=STD   - OS
  20.   That's really not an accurate statement -- TaxAct will do full 1040 with every form and schedule that exists for free. Surely some of the others will too.   - OS
  21. That's a nice looking rifle, a rarity in that it has iron sights too. And threaded barrel...I like it. Here's a review: http://www.shootingtimes.com/2012/09/19/purpose-built-for-pork-savage-hog-hunter-review/ - OS
  22. My two Beretta 30 round mags fit nicely in a AR-15 molle single mag pouch. - OS
  23. AFAIK, FFL licenses are strictly state based, have to have one for each state you want to sell in.
  24.   Next time use USPS Click N Ship, pay online, print label:   https://cns.usps.com/go   you don't even have to go through line at PO, just drop it on the counter and go.   Can do same with seller's account on eBay through PayPal and there you even get a discount. You can also open UPS account with eBay seller account and do same thing with UPS packages online.   - OS
