  1. Yep, I've always wanted to carry this baby: Seriously, would like to carry a 6" Voyager or similar, though. - OS
  2.   Takes opening in browser for that type script to work, one of the negatives of web based email.  One reason I've stayed with Pegasus ever since my first email back in 1990.   - OS
  3.   Here's Knoxville city code:   http://library.municode.com/index.aspx?clientId=11098&stateId=42&stateName=Tennessee&customBanner=11098.jpg&imageclass=L&cl=11098.txt   I've found park firearms ban in there, but never looked for carry in city buildings. Have at it. :)   - OS
  4.   Covers all laws which deal with "...transfer, ownership, possession or transportation of firearms, ammunition or components of firearms or combinations thereof"   - OS
  5.   Need offsite storage, your own webspace from ISP or another service and link to pic from there. Photobucket seems most popular as freebie service. I use my Comcast account mostly.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/56680-faq-how-do-i-post-pictures-here/   - OS
  6. Real question is, what was it scanned INTO?   Did he use a barcode scanner, or actually flat bed scan (copy) an image of your DL?   - OS
  7.   You have that backwards. Obamacare was ruled constitutional and Roberts wrote that the individual mandate is a tax, which is the only way it is constitutional.   - OS
  8.   Oh, the "weapons ban" part seems a no go.   But Feinstein's bill could be amended for just the mags, or separate bills offered, whatever. There are already a number filed in both Senate and House. Can tell ya, that an "assault weapon" with 10 round mag going forward would lose much of the appeal to me if I were a new buyer.   We haven't even really seen the first ammo related legislation much mentioned yet, like Blumenthal's. I believe there are also separate bills already filed for the universal background check thing.   And I may have been wrong about the House, a bill there is getting some press today regarding gun trafficking and whatnot; though I don't see exactly what it would really make different, they might pass it as part of the "we are concerned" political optics. Who knows...   Point is, just don't know what all may evolve, seems this will be a longer two years than usual, sort of like those towns you can spend a week in just one night. ;)   - OS
  9.   If you mean Feinstein's Bill, that's likely. But her effort is just the opening volley.   There are two years left in this Congress.   - OS
  10.   For one thing, FFLs have to file a separate form for 2 or more handguns bought by same person in a week.   TX, AZ, and NM have to also separately report 2 or more semi-auto rifles over .22 in a week.   - OS
  11. History would suggest that contentious legislation doesn't get finally hammered out until late in the second year of a Congress.   Point being, we likely won't know for sure just what will or won't be enacted until almost 2015.   Then, gawd help us, if the GOP loses the House, anti-gun legislation will start right back up again, but with more success.   - OS
  12.   They state in several places on site you must get SBR stamp if using in that way. -------------- 7. ZiPâ„¢ appears to have several modular interchangeable tops?   Answer: Yes. ZiPâ„¢ has a unique system of rails. ZiPâ„¢ Std Rail, ZiPPicâ„¢Rail, ZiPNiteâ„¢Rail (Glock style sight provisions), and **ZiPSBRâ„¢Rail (Approved Form 1 for legal use). Each rail has a purpose. The ZiPPicâ„¢ allows you to attach any type of red dot heads up display on its standard picatinny rail dimensions, and is used as the locating rail for the BattleZiPâ„¢ **SBR Survival Stock. While the **ZiPSBRâ„¢ Rail allows the ZiP Operatorâ„¢ to attach ZiPâ„¢ to another platform such as a AR-15 or SCAR. ** Note: SBR stands for a special classification of weapon (In this case a pistol) when transformed into an SBR- or Short Barreled Rifle. As such, purchase -or- possession of a rail or a stock does not require an Approved ATF Form 1, however, USE OF THOSE COMPONENTS while in combination with ZiPâ„¢ (attached to another platform) e.g. AR-15/SCAR or BattleZiPâ„¢ SBR Stock, requires the user to satisfy two separate issues for legal use. 1) is overall length of the entire platform of 26 inches, 2) is barrel length of a minimum of 16 inches. ZiPâ„¢ has only a 5.25 inch barrel "Short barrel rifle" when attached) and so the Approved ATF Form 1 (cost $200) is required for LEGAL USE.       - OS
  13. Rock Stars Age Just Like the Rest of Us, And It Ain't Pretty http://www.mandatory.com/2012/08/20/rock-stars-age-just-like-the-rest-of-us-and-it-aint-pretty/24
  14.   Seems like safe bet to me. Maybe for two years, since the 113th will likely leave gun legislation hanging until the last few weeks of the Congress.   - OS
  15.   Not statutorily compliant, but "legal" won't be determined unless you get popped for carrying past it and plead it in court.   - OS
  16.   Probably means something like this:   Status of gun industry Attention F.B. fans: to follow will be several IMPORTANT Info updates about the status of the gun industry currently, followed by an INVENTORY UPDATE: We traveled to Texas for Industry meetings concerning the shortages, here's what we were told. Smith & Wesson-is running at Full capacity making 300+ guns/day-mainly M&P pistols. They are unable to produce any more guns to help with the shortages.     RUGER: Plans to increase from 75% to 100% in the next 90 days. FNH: Moving from 50% production to 75% by Feb 1st and 100% by March 1. Remington-Maxed out! Armalite: Maxed out. DPMS: Can't get enough parts to produce any more product. COLT: Production runs increasing weekly...bottle necked by Bolt carrier's. LWRC:Making only black guns, running at full capacity...can't get enough gun quality steel to make barrels. Springfield Armory: Only company who can meet demand but are running 30-45 days behind. AMMO: Every caliber is now Allocated! We are looking at a nation wide shortage of all calibers over the next 9 months. All plants are producing as much ammo as possible w/ of 1 BILLION rounds produced weekly. Most is military followed by L.E. and civilians are third in line. MAGPUL is behind 1 MILLION mags, do not expect any large quantities of magpul anytime soon. RELOADERS... ALL Remington, Winchester, CCI & Federal primers are going to ammo FIRST. There are no extra's for reloading purposes... it could be 6-9 months before things get caught up. Sorry for the bleak news, but now we know what to expect in the coming months. Stay tuned, we'll keep you posted...   http://directorblue.blogspot.com/2013/01/update-status-of-gun-industry.html   - OS
  17.   Only commenting that I know of no such law that has been overturned on any level. Some of them have been in place long enough for challenges to have worked their way all the way up if they had been filed.   But no, I don't know of any specific litigation involving any in any state.   - OS
  18. 15 states have partial or total ban on private firearm transfer, and none have been successfully constitutionally challenged.   - OS
  19.   Well, you were able to answer "no" to the five year question, right?   I wouldn't put any faith in what anyone says at the DMV. Hell, we've even had members where they took the previous permit that hadn't even expired yet when applying for renewal, off the wall stuff like that.   Worst happens, you can first get in touch with the head of the TNDOS HCP division, Lisa Knight and get her to look into it personally, and if that doesn't work pursue it with counsel. But according to other info we're received here, you won't have to.   - OS
  20.   Nope, I'm not on Davidson's.   They're not even hitting the email I use for the majority of forums and vendors, but my main one. Even though I use the main one here, due to Comcast being blocked here in the past, I discount that, seems to be wider spread thing, so I probably have used it on somewhere else that was data mined somehow.   https://www.google.com/search?q=FreedomNetwork%40Underground.net+spam&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a   https://www.google.com/search?q=sandy+hood+email+spam&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#hl=en&newwindow=1&client=firefox-a&hs=byW&tbo=d&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&spell=1&q=sandy+hook+email+spam&sa=X&ei=PUYQUbmyHYj09gT3gYHQDQ&ved=0CDAQBSgA&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_qf.&bvm=bv.41867550,d.eWU&fp=4d739617f392435f&biw=1668&bih=750   Also getting similar from   fremanfighter@dune.com VoiceOfFreedom@Inter.net   but all those from fields are bogus   The mystery is that I haven't gotten any on the email addy I've used most frequently on all things gun related on the net.   - OS
  21. Press conference didn't give any details that cleared up much of anything, real story will have to come out later.   - OS
  22.   Yeah right, then why  say, "One day I'll probably get caught if I don't get a permit, and I'll get in trouble." if he didn't have it loaded?   Dumbass, double face palm.   - OS
  23. Yep, boy safe, perp dead, some sort of explosion involved. Press conference any time now.   - OS
  24.   Federal law allows one to buy long guns through FFLs in any state (if the FFL will do it). Some states have laws that limit only to some neighboring states.   - OS
  25. The  Bud Clydesdale and the Dodge "God made a farmer"  were both minor masterpieces, I thought.   - OS
