Well, their headquarters are in NC now, and they have a plant in KY too; also an ammo plant in AR. So those states may well have a head start.   - OS

  Doesn't matter the county. Every TN customer of Amazon got that notice, as physical presence anywhere in the state requires the entity to charge the tax. They will start charging TN sales tax in 2014. They made a deal with state of TN not to have to charge it until then.   You are supposed to pay sales/use tax on anything bought outside the state, btw.   - OS

One advantage of using credit card...even though the charge stays on there, it doesn't limit your buying power on the card, and the payment simply eventually gets credited back to the card.   That is one of the disadvantages of buying non-Amazon fulfilled stuff through Amazon, though. If it's sold by Amazon, card is not charged if not in stock.   - OS

  CA's TN database shows year of birth now instead of exact date.   When they first published it, had exact date and exact street address, now just town and zip.   You can also still get the entire listing in alphabetical order by last name with just one click. 377, 776 of them. The Memphis Commercial Appeal has all that information, you know?   They have chosen not to show the street address anymore, but they can if they want to.   They could also release a map if they chose to, just like the paper published in NYS.   Btw, CA renewed its subscription to the database, it's current again as per 12/2/12, must be offered quarterly or something.   - OS
