  1.   No, applications are to county Probate Court and are on "shall issue" basis.   - OS
  2. Not a straw purchase, but rather "in the business" of selling without a license. - OS
  3. What about just all the small nibbler fish that would nip at any rotten meat ambling by? Think of all the South American zombie piranha there would be from stray zeds wandering into the rivers there! - OS
  4. Yeah, so did World War Z. But a cleared island would certainly cut down on how many you would ever face. Just the occasional strays walking up out of the bottom. You could never feel safe in the water again unless you were in deep though. The ultimate suspension of disbelief regarding zeds I can't get around is the fact that they don't simply rot away. There's never really been a satisfactory "scientific" explanation given in any of the zed lore to account for it. - OS
  5.   Maybe so then. Don't see why though. There's no difference between them, and no designation on the gun itself different from normal non-convertible. Only thing diff is a hand scribed last three serial number digits on the extra cylinder, or maybe on both, can't remember,  and I'm out of town so can't look.   - OS
  6.   Thanks, ... didn't spend much time with it, but c'mon, like a  federal law that says everbody must obey some other state's law in your own state?   I'm sure all the states would just jump to agree with such a totally anti-states' rights premise, eh?   - OS
  7.   Took me a good while to find the .357/9mm couple of years ago.   If you can find the .357 BlackHawk, you can send it in to Ruger and they'll sell and fit ya the 9mm to go along with it (or the .45acp for the .45 model) for only a bit more than it would cost for the convertible from the gitgo. If they have any and can get around to it these days, that is.   - OS
  8.   Anyone claiming Glocks are not at the forefront of reliability and durability certainly has no credence in determining armament requirements for any department.   And yeah, let's throw in some 1911's, that need a helluva lot more TLC than a Glock for "reliability".   This is somebody's vanity project at the least, but probably a scam to make some money for someone, maybe as Dol has suggested.   - OS
  9.   Well, David should see this when he gets time to deal with it.
  10.   Re-read my sig for agreement.   - OS
  11. You can get an adjustable gas block for the minis....   - OS
  12. Says not a NFA item.   Do some belt fed parts need a stamp even if the firearm isn't full auto?   - OS
  13.   ?? You don't need a membership to buy.   - OS
  14.   Don't use "invoice".   Go to TGO Store from link at top of forum, buy the 6 month 12 month one afresh.   I suspect you can buy it that way, or maybe at worst get the notice with clickable link I mentioned in post above.   - OS
  15.   The current Blackhawk one they are selling, unlike the previous "Winchester" one,  has horizontal leveling slider so you can make good bit of leveling adjustments on uneven surface without having to fool with the legs, works quite well.   It's swivel base attachment only, though, so if you want to go to a rail, will still need a swivel base to rail adapter. Another $10 eBay item, the cheapest I've ever  bought works fine. Have one that is quick detach, but couldn't find another QD again when I went back to pick up another one.   - OS
  16. Doesn't notice say "You have already purchased that item and it cannot be purchased again. Click here to view or renew your existing purchase." ??   - OS
  17. A have a Harris Bipod 1A2-L 9-13 Inch, cost $70 shipped. Frankly, except for a bigger knob to tighten onto sling swivel base which I admit is handier, I don't perceive any better construction or functionality than the $40 "Winchester" branded one that Wally used to sell, or the $44 Blackhawk one they sell now. - OS
  18. I called BS on this whole thing during the previous thread, but folks kept claiming it had to do with some sort of departmental certification or whatever. The simple fact is few if any of even lifer Knoxville cops are gonna wear out their Glocks and that claimed Glock "lifespan" is obvious BS2, nobody  but nobody can point to valid documentation where anybody claims that.   And all those many "failures'? I call BS3   - OS
  19. I have some Thermold "Master Molder" 20 rounders, got for $3.50-5.00 each. They've been fine.   Couple of them didn't lock bolt back on last round first time use, but have after that.   - OS
  20.   Yep. End to legal private sales is gonna happen.   The GOP as a whole will have to give on that due to overwhelming national mandate and of course the Dems will eventually take what they can actually get.   GOP will pass it with as little pain to individual senators and reps as possible though, allow the ones to vote nay whose reelection bids might suffer the most from it, while still having enough votes to get it passed.   There's always the national vs local considerations by both parties.   - OS
  21.   Closest thing we have to "brandishing" law is aggravated assault. Dunno if that could stick as "assaulting" the general public.   Belle Meade did eventually did take specific action to drop that ordinance from its city code, btw.   - OS
  22. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/61893-magpul-is-cool-again/
  23.   You, um, you know, read the bill? :) Answers those two questions exactly.   As far as "ownership" part, dunno regarding husband/wife. Communal property law take effect there, regardless of which name is on registration?   Can cars be registered jointly in TN?   - OS
  24.   You don't think HCP holding teachers and staff being able to keep their loaded heaters in the car on school grounds is significant? And HCP holding college students?   Previous felony changed to legal behavior seems significant to me.   - OS
  25.   I don't understand your comment in regard to mine though.   Why would FedEx be necessarily happy? They now have to allow HCP folks to keep guns in their own cars, right?   I'm just asking about the restriction of the gun owner and the car owner having to be the same person, still don't see the real intent?   - OS
