  Took me a good while to find the .357/9mm couple of years ago.   If you can find the .357 BlackHawk, you can send it in to Ruger and they'll sell and fit ya the 9mm to go along with it (or the .45acp for the .45 model) for only a bit more than it would cost for the convertible from the gitgo.   The current Blackhawk one they are selling, unlike the previous "Winchester" one,  has horizontal leveling slider so you can make good bit of leveling adjustments on uneven surface without having to fool with the legs, works quite well.   It's swivel base attachment only, though, so if you want to go to a rail, will still need a swivel base to rail adapter. Another $10 eBay item, the cheapest I've ever  bought works fine. Have one that is quick detach, but couldn't find another QD again when I went back to pick up another one.   - OS

A have a Harris Bipod 1A2-L 9-13 Inch, cost $70 shipped. Frankly, except for a bigger knob to tighten onto sling swivel base which I admit is handier, I don't perceive any better construction or functionality than the $40 "Winchester" branded one that Wally used to sell, or the $44 Blackhawk one they sell now. - OS
