  1. I'm not convinced there are any that don't work.   - OS
  2. When people like even Trump say the market is all smoke and mirrors and even he doesn't understand it, you know it's built on shifting sand rather than actual value.   I expect the Dot Com thing to happen again any time but on larger scale more across the board. Will it be the one that catches up to and even further degrades the reality of the rank and file,  fomenting the Big Pain that will change everything? Dunno.   - OS
  3. Yep grew up with during her stint with the Mouseketeers, too.   Between her, Sophia Loren and Gina Lollobrigida, Claudia Cardinale, Verna Lisi, etc, I had impression that the most beautiful wimmen in the world must all be Italian. :)   - OS
  4.   Not own, but general carry. Non-locking with cutting edge of 3" or under. Certain exceptions just like here, occupation, outdoor rec, whatever.  That's England, dunno exactly 'bout Scotland, either part of Ireland, or Wales.   Spyderco and Boker among others make specific UK legal configs.   - OS
  5.   You're being too modest there comrade. ;)
  6.   I thought it was from the hip. Yeah, that's it, that's the ticket ... :)
  7.   You mean, like our own Guv?
  8. Know Garufa hit the last one. 3rd shot, not bad. ;)   So Glenn hit the big one with his Mosin, eh? I checked out the scope on that old baby, shot one round, can't believe how clear it was to be so old.   - OS
  9.   Yep, look at all he "accomplished" his first two years when he had both House and Senate.   My friends, if Sandy Hook had happened in '08, the EBRs and mags would most likely already have been gone.   - OS
  10. Yes, but it was actually a separate additional offense to carry where booze was sold. It was even illegal for an HCP holder the first 2 or 3 years the permit was enacted, then HCP holders were exempted, then whole statute was repealed in 2010 that these type signs refer to: - OS
  11.   Mikey, it was worth the effort just to get there and see it. 'Bout as purty a little isolated valley as there is, like a scaled down Cades Cove.   Spots' family has been there since before the War of Northern Aggression, and quite obvious they've been excellent caretakers.   - OS   edit: I see Tannerite finale got its own thread in Show and Tell:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/63797-tgo-shoot-tannerite-ending/
  12.   I did! Perhaps is the literal Aramaic transliteration. ;)     Hey, had a great time, y'all, always great to finally put more TGO personae with the actual human beans.   Thanks for making this effort Spots, much appreciated indeed!   - OS
  13. Can't believe this hasn't been posted, we'll all need these soon. Better put a box or two in cart right away! http://www.luckygunner.com/12ga-3-uranium-drone-load-tacnition-5-rounds - OS
  14.   Hey, that's me! :)  Wish you could've made it over, Joseph.
  15.   I should be there by the crack of noon. :)   - OS
  16.   Good point, and surely if I owned one, I'd have to be as dead as Andrea for it to happen!
  17.   I had fine success with Butler Creek Steel lip models, but not until I flushed them out with dish washing suds and sprayed the innards well with silicone spray lube.   But the Ruger BX25's are the cat's pajamas.   I had seen this HCMag before, and admit it looks quite nifty. Might well try one sometime.   - OS
  18.   My Butler Creek steel lips all  become pretty rock solid reliable, but not until I cleaned them well with dishwashing soap and then sprayed the innards with silicone lube.   But the Ruger BX25's are simply the best way to go now, rock solid and a real value for $25 or less.   I consider any ProMag as crapshoot odds.   - OS
  19.   FWIW, I honestly don't know if the writers meant it to sound like a shell casing or just the Python itself hitting the floor. Doesn't exactly sound like either one. Sound supposedly was carrying through a metal door too.   - OS
  20. Always a crap shoot on the flu vaccine. I took it this year for only the third time ever. Didn't get flu, but then again, most winters I don't get it anyway.   Some years the vaccine is hardly effective at all as they miss the prediction on the most likely strain that hits, and even on best matched years it seems to be no better than about 70% effective per individual. But then there's the "herd immunity" that lowers the chances of an non-inoculated person getting it by lowering the overall contraction rate, too.   I did get a week long off and on bout with the novovirus or something similar though. Never did feel really bad, just couldn't trust being too far from a throne for a week or so.  :)   With so much press about it this year, and getting on up there and all, I also got the shingles shot this year, even though it's not clear whether I ever had chicken pox as a kid. The symptoms sound like just my style, another condition that drives you up the wall without being life threatening. Not a huge comfort for the 200 clams spent though, since it's only about 60% effective too.   - OS
  21.   Correct. You'll get at least one followup, too, asking to send it back or pay for it. With the same thing in small print, that you don't have to.     Why? I have the Founding Fathers and D-Day one, and it's pretty good. REAL good for free. :)   - OS
  22.   Still just two AFAIK, Nebraska and Maine?
  23.   Well, as far as the ammo, it was all, or almost all .40S&W as I understand it, so I don't think they're planning on enforcing martial law with a bunch of feds mostly in street clothes toting handguns.   - OS
  24.   Not true at all.   You would not be "stopping a robbery", but rather in aid of person who has a reasonable fear of imminent death or serious injury, if indeed not in fear of it yourself.   Anytime a gun is pointed at anybody, barring some extenuating circumstances I can't immediately think of,  that presumption would surely be supported in TN courts.   Most certainly, a perp does not have to start firing before that presumption is reached. That's why simply pointing a firearm at another (or even merely displaying it during a confrontation or altercation) is a felony in and of itself (aggravated assault).   - OS
  25.   Stats are pretty acceptable on it.  Just have to compare latest census with votes cast.   Here's a couple, but all of them are pretty close:   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voter_turnout_in_the_United_States_presidential_elections   http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0781453.html   Midterm elections are indeed under 50% nowadays.   - OS
