  1. He made point on Hannity tonight that he used exactly the same example of the liquor store thing in his 13 hour filibuster, among other examples, and hence has not changed his position at all.   He stresses he is not against reactive law enforcement. Just doesn't believe in "Minority Report" (my phrase, not his).   - OS
  2. Yes. As long as you don't get raped either way. Pricing is coming back down toward normal.   Especially since you can't find reasonably priced ammo for it anyway.   S&W will take care of you either way should it come down to that.   - OS
  3. Assuming that's a new lower,  stash the stock offsite if you don't have another legal use for it,  and just finish it up with everything but the stock -- you've got a legal pistol to shoot -- and a nice one, too.   - OS
  4. So, y'all get 'em, or what?
  5. Completely surprised with how objective it was. Can't believe it came out of NBC progressive machine, seriously.   If it leaned slightly at all, seemed to be toward gun rights and freedom, just because that half had more time devoted.   - OS
  6.   No doubt will be clip of him as one of the crazies. Was already extensively used by MSNBC.   - OS
  7. I would like to volunteer for a news demo to show, given the will, how even a klutz like me could kill 50-100 defenseless sequestered children with just a .22 target pistol and buncha ten round mags.   'Course, all guns must be eventually banned, that's the real idea, and I guess such a demo would only support that.   - OS
  8. Story sure didn't get any legs, being two months old now.   Must not have actually been true, or would have caught on like wildfire, seems to me. Matter of fact, I never heard a peep from NRA regarding this. You?   - OS
  9.   We'll see.   Hillary has already been anointed for nomination, seems only a matter of if she wants it (of which I have no doubt myself)  and if her health holds up.   Betcha a quarter.   - OS
  10.   In America, burden is on the prosecution.   - OS
  11.   Of course the fact that a good guy with a gun stopped it wasn't reported by MSM at the time. Only that "see, knives aren't as dangerous as guns, nobody died".   - OS
  12.   Already said, $50 and/or 30 days.   Same max penalty for carrying in a Knoxville park.   - OS
  13.   Yeah, I really enjoyed watching MSNBC for a couple days there after the vote.   - OS
  14. You realize that was a year ago, right?
  15.   I've never had any prob whatsoever with it, but only shot 9mm and .357/.38, and 12 gauge.   One of the oldest companies in the word, I actually don't see much negative talk about their stuff.   - OS
  16.   As was mentioned you have to knowingly possess it to be culpable. Every private sale and trade in the US has the possibility of involving a stolen firearm.   - OS
  17. Same as the rest of the anchors on MSNBC.   If you only read the words, no way to know if they're from him, or Matthews, Maddow, O'Donnell, or Shultz (actually now Chris Hayes).   - OS
  18.   Nah, but the Peter Principle dictates he'll be a Supreme Court justice.   - OS
  19.   One thing is pert dang clear in TN law:   a loaded firearm is always de facto "intent to go armed", and you must fit under one of the exceptions or defenses to legally possess one -- any more nuanced argument of preponderance of the evidence is likely to be only heard in court.   - OS
  20.   Oopsie,  of course it is. :hat:
  21.   All guns are "illegal" if I'm a prohibited person. Why should I go anywhere except to where they are the most plentiful?   - OS
  22.   No offense to any given instructor, but in general you'll do as well to simply read the TN weapons and deadly force statutes, and spend a while in the Carry forum right here.   And of course, there are any number of absolutely incompetent instructors out there regarding the legal stuff that do more harm than good,  we see their idiot statements reported here all the time.   - OS
  23.   Only took knowing where the info was, bro, no deep cogitating required.  :)   - OS
  24.   Yeah, folks worry too much.   The odds of a gun you buy having been used in a crime is small, the odds that it would ever be taken from you and checked even smaller, and the odds of your being charged for the original crime or possession of stolen goods at zero.   The only altruistic thing about running it through an FFL for purchase is that there's a small chance that a stolen firearm would find its way back to rightful owner. Of course, should you do it after the fact through LEA, you're out the price of the gun. If you do it during a sale at FFL,  you're only out the 10 bucks, though they want to charge you for the transfer process anyway.   - OS
