Same. Right at 48 hours from order to delivery. That ain't bad for free shipping, eh? Would have even been a few hours less if I were earlier in my UPS guy's route. - OS

I got one from CTD (a day after actually shipped) and one from UPS same day as shipped. The UPS one might be cause I'm a UPS My Choice member, though, dunno. - OS

I have a "My Attachements" question . . .
Oh Shoot replied to ZoidMeister's topic in Feedback and Support
Mine says "Max total size 19.98MB · Max file size 7MB" Seems like David may have said that he raised it even more than that for a while, but I can't find that post. - OS -
Yeah, I already figgered he'd be instrumental in some way, maybe poison a bunch of them or something, but of course Negan will need a "special" end. I can't see the bloodthirsty TV audience being satisfied with letting him evolve as apparently happens in the comics. - OS
-
Yeah, does use taper pins, and I assume drilled, would have to be for the taper. Only real diff is they are on top of barrel instead of bottom. Certainly never heard of any "walking out". Note gas tube has pin of course also.

I've about had it with the whole thing finally. The Rick/Michonne thing hasn't run true enough for me, somehow just don't grok her going for him in the first place, whatever. And yeah, the little cliffhanger lite with Rick in this one was cheapish, and etc - Buck's "Keystone Kops" comment apropos methinks. Haven't kept up with ratings, but unless the money not just talks but screams, seems to me they need to resolve the Negan thing, pull all the good tribes together, look at an optimistic sunrise, and call it done. At least they finally put in a new and recognizable "Judith" beyond holding size only, supposed to be maybe now what? Three or four? - OS

My philosophy is simpler as my bucks are quite amoral -- I don't buy from anybody when it's a ripoff, but will when it's a good deal. And yeah, pissed about the ten clams too. - OS

Hardly any of that makes any sense. - this just happened to occur on the very last shot the guy took during first range session? - gas tube retaining pin is somehow just "gone"? - there's not much that is more solid than drilled FSB pins Meaning, methinks somebody tried to "customize" his rifle. I remember a guy who brought his AR to range one day when me and Dolo were there. Wouldn't fire, meaning, you couldn't pull the trigger. Swears it's brand new, just took it out of the box, hasn't done a thing to it. Oh, well, finally he mentions he did "only" change the pistol grip. Duh, okay, found selector spring up in receiver all snarled into safety/trigger, can't remember where/how the detente was found. - OS

No, it doesn't, as per federal Control Substances act. - "The term "controlled substance" means a drug or other substance, or immediate precursor, included in schedule I, II, III, IV, or V of part B of this subchapter. The term does not include distilled spirits, wine, malt beverages, or tobacco, as those terms are defined or used in subtitle E of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986." - "The term "depressant or stimulant substance" means— (A) a drug which contains any quantity of barbituric acid or any of the salts of barbituric acid; or (B) a drug which contains any quantity of (i) amphetamine or any of its optical isomers; (ii) any salt of amphetamine or any salt of an optical isomer of amphetamine; or (iii) any substance which the Attorney General, after investigation, has found to be, and by regulation designated as, habit forming because of its stimulant effect on the central nervous system; or (C) lysergic acid diethylamide; or (D) any drug which contains any quantity of a substance which the Attorney General, after investigation, has found to have, and by regulation designated as having, a potential for abuse because of its depressant or stimulant effect on the central nervous system or its hallucinogenic effect." - OS

Has nothing to do with the state, that's federal. 4473 updated in several areas months ago. - OS

Freedom Munitions has free shipping for $199 and up right now. Even when they don't, they usually offer that to first time buyers for any order. - OS

Read up on the "Russian Fertilizer King", Dmitry Rybolovlev, that one's starting to look like it has real legs. And possible tie in with our new Secretary of Commerce, who just happens to be vice chairman of the Bank of Cyprus (big laundry for Russian bucks) along with a Putin appointed second vice chairman. - OS

Non-permitted carry on private property

Good lord. The whole thing sounds dicey to moi. Good luck there, Mr. Not Providing Security But Making Sure You're Armed So You Can Draw Down On Drunks and Meth Heads! - OS -
Non-permitted carry on private property
Oh Shoot replied to Cookies's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
No advice here I'm afraid. There really isn't a specific defense for that anywhere in 39-17-1307 or 39-17-1308, so I suppose a hard nosed LEO could indeed haul one in for it, however unlikely or not that would be at such a gathering (sounds like pretty much a "good ole boy" type deal, LEOs being personal friends of the landowner and all like that?) Guess you could open carry and be sure you're ammo free! - OS -
Non-permitted carry on private property
Oh Shoot replied to Cookies's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It is not specifically an exception to the unlawful possession/carrying statute, but you'd have to really be doing something noteworthy to be busted for it I'd think, but it of course could happen, like at a party that gets busted or whatever. There's the "sport shooting" out, and where legal to discharge a firearm, you were intending to plink at least a bit, eh? The only difference I know of it TN statutes regarding concealed vs not, is that an unloaded firearm, not concealed "on or about" the person (and no ammo in immediate vicinity) is an out for the unlawful possession/carrying statute. - OS -
Hopefully they will indeed do transfers between individuals -- I've only use them for shipments from FFLs thus far, so can't swear to it. - OS
-
No, federally a resident of any state may transfer a long gun through FFL in any state to a resident of any state, and only a few states have law contradicting that. - OS
-
Unfortunately, it's not a mere reg but federal law. Part of Gun Control Act of 1968, codified in 18 US 922. - OS

10-50$. A good 10 clam place is Fighting Sheep Dog. Plus TN itself charges an additional $10 fee for each 4473 run. - OS

Drawback is that you can lose them in the field. Or even at home. - OS

Common mod if you want to use a rifle tube on a pistol config. Or you could use a KNS takedown pin and do away with spring and detente altogether:

Ah. Much better, thanks. - OS -
Willed possible antique, out of state.
Oh Shoot replied to Handsome Rob's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Doesn't even matter about the antique part, any non-NFA firearm is legit to transfer interstate via willed bequest or even intestate succession, no FFL required. Specific exception iterated in US 18 922. - OS -

What dat mean? - OS -
Yeah, they did. Saw a good few when they first met at very end of previous episode, didn't really notice any in this one though. Obviously not all that many per capita though, most have knives and improvised whatevers.
