  1.   Couldn't find them. But wording aside, the real question is whether what the OP purports to do regarding stippling falls under the requirements of needing a type 1 FFL for gunsmithing at all.   - OS
  2.   Only in a relatively few categories is this allowed, mainly Motors and Business, sellers get nuked for it in most.   - OS   edit: duh, never mind, I forgot you can use cc through PayPal without actually having an account nowadays.
  3.   How do you buy on eBay with no PayPal account? Only the biggies there take credit cards directly.   - OS
  4.   Never known PSA stuff to not be truly in stock if it accepts the order. Looks like you got it just in time for this go round.
  5.   Lasted 35 min.
  6. Nothing new, of course. The bastards.   I monitor the enemy, and can tell you that this week their renewed anti-gun onslaught has approached that of the first couple of weeks after Sandy Hook.   - OS
  7.   I suppose there may well be additional rules about taking in firearms for any kind of work, but the definition of "dealer" in this case doesn't actually seem to include what you want to do.   Do report  here what they tell you, please.   - OS
  8.   I don't think you want ole Bill to be debating for our side anymore, what with espousing registration and whatnot.   - OS
  9.   Well, if it's really all gone, then American capitalism has succeeded once again, no? ;)   - OS
  10.   No "intending" mentioned. The phrase is "engage in the business of" or "engaged in the business of"   As far as gunsmithing, "engaged in the business of" is a type of "dealer" which is defined as:   "...any person engaged in the business of repairing firearms or of making or fitting special barrels, stocks, or trigger mechanisms to firearms"   and "engaged in the business" of that is defined as:   "...a person who devotes time, attention, and labor to engaging in such activity as a regular course of trade or business with the principal objective of livelihood and profit, but such term shall not include a person who makes occasional repairs of firearms, or who occasionally fits special barrels, stocks, or trigger mechanisms to firearms"   Just quoting from "18 USC § 921 - Definitions" -- I do not know what the ATF actually requires for what in real world.   - OS
  11. MSNBC's O'Donnell, with vid:   http://www.mediaite.com/tv/lawrence-odonnell-calls-crickett-guns-for-kids-site-legal-child-pornography/   or   http://www.nbcnews.com/id/45755883/ns/msnbc-the_last_word/vp/51755494#51755494     “You live in the country where 5-year-olds are not allowed to play Little League baseball, because we are afraid of them getting hit by fastballs, thrown by 10-year-olds,” O’Donnell said. “Because we think fast-pitch baseball is too dangerous for 5-year-olds, Little League allows them to play only tee ball. You know, for safety. You live in the country where Bill and Steve McNeal legally sell guns for 5-year-olds, without even worrying about safety. If you’re concerned with child safety, you don’t give children guns. You don’t give 5-year-olds the keys to the car. There’s a whole lot of stuff you don’t let 5-year-olds do if you are concerned about child safety. But America’s merchants of gun death are not concerned about child safety, or adult safety or anything other than getting rich, and so tonight, you live in a country where Bill McNeal and Steve McNeal make and sell guns for little kids. Because they can. And because obviously there is nothing, nothing Bill McNeal and Steve McNeal won’t do for money.”     Mother Jones story:   http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/05/crickett-rifle-marketing-kids   etc.   Sure enough, Crickett's site has been down for a couple days now (http://crickett.com). I guess they're unfortunately busy scrubbing it or whatever (knuckling under). What a frigging country we've become.   - OS
  12. The left is touting surveys that show total number of households which own guns is declining, so say more current gun owners are simply buying more guns. You know, we members of the bloody lunatic fringe.   - OS
  13.   Dunno about federal AOW classification, but looks like perhaps more than 4" blade and has knuckles, both of which are illegal in TN (to carry in general public, not to own).   They seem to sell in the $2000 range, too.   - OS
  14.   Well, that's just the Wiki writer's take, I don't know what the actual exact ATF wording was.   - OS
  15.   No more disgusting than the Hussein and Joe Show.   The Hillary and Chris Show would be overall smarter too, and certainly that's even scarier.   - OS
  16.   Shows in stock to me, I just put one in cart to see.   - OS
  17. Lautenberg is the reason you can be denied firearms simply by being accused of domestic violence via an order of protection.   Don't even have to be convicted of anything. Although if you are, a domestic misdemeanor conviction bans you for life.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_Violence_Offender_Gun_Ban   - OS
  18.   It's the main way a lot of people can get a federal tax "refund" without every paying any federal tax to begin with.   - OS
  19.   Probably wouldn't be nearly as bad as Goldwater's loss, but worse than Mitt's.   - OS
  20.   No self-respecting terrorist should be without a pocket knife, what is the world coming to?   - OS
  21.   One that can fire sub sonically though, otherwise you might as well shoot unsuppressed .22LR.   - OS
  22. MSNBC has really hammered on this all week. REALLY hammered.   Today's repeated meme was how the crazed gun nuts and bloodthirsty NRA sells guns to children. Cases in point, the popularity of the Crickett and Chipmunk rifle, youth shooting events, and of course the tyke that killed his sister with one.   Also the NRA convention in Houston (and the nut that shot the gun in the airport there), and the Neanderthal sentiments of the incoming NRA president.   And the constant mention of the polls showing the drop in approval of those who voted against the gun bills, and the rise of those who did.    etc.   Since MSNBC has proven to be the Itar-Tass of the Obama Republic of Progressive Indoctrination, I can only surmise we're going to see another round of this in the 113th Congress.   - OS   edit: Couldn't find their "Crickett Report" vid yet, but here's the general tone, from Mother Jones, one of their fav pubs:   http://www.motherjones.com/mojo/2013/05/crickett-rifle-marketing-kids     - OS   edit2: Looks like they've taken the site down at crickett.com. Probably zapping all the "kiddie gun porn". What a frigging absurd country we've become.   - OS
  23.   That's not so far fetched as it sounds IMO. No laughies forthcoming here.   - OS
  24.   Yep, thanks, that's the one:   "Fake Suppressor Reclassified   In January 2010, in the United States; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives ruled that the previously approved barrel shroud included with the GSG 5 SD to give the cosmetic appearance of a real suppressor (or "silencer") is a true suppressor, despite it being physically incapable of functioning as a suppressor, and therefore is regulated under the National Firearms Act. ATI, Inc. instituted a recall of the item."   - OS
