  1. Btw, you can write "pussy" here. You p***y. :)
  2.   Only change is that any local laws are preempted by the state ones. IOW, Possum Trot can't impose or enforce a 2" blade limit or ban locking blades or whatever.   Goes into effect July 1, unless that got amended in final version too.   - OS
  3.   I believe that's pretty much the current Chattanooga SOP.   - OS
  4. Good. They're already too crowded.   I could probably get some better deals if only 2,000 showed up instead of 20,000. ;)   - OS
  5. I have two built on their blems. Wasn't sure where the blems even were, certainly not as bad as the ding I put on the first one I ever put a LPK in. :)   I stand by my prediction that AR parts and complete rifles will get cheaper than in a decade if affordable ammo for them doesn't free up by the fall.   - OS
  6. Meant to mention in first post as fair disclosure, I'll probably take that scope off the 336 at some point, mainly put it on there to so what the rifle "can do", which is quite impressive btw.   I agree that having a scope on lever gun negates a bit of its great lightweight and slim style handling, not to mention it just dumps on the traditional look of the thing, too.   I have a Marlin 1894 in .357 too, and never put a scope on it at all. May well try a peep on one or both at some point.   - OS
  7.   Can personally validate it, at least as far as the synergistic effect on the pleasure scale, and don't doubt the same interaction as to actual impairment either.   When I gave up alkeehaul I really had no intention of giving up cannabis too. But surprise, found that since over ~30 years I had seldom used it without booze, the pot high alone just wasn't what I'd come to know and love, so I wound up giving it up too.   - OS
  8.   Studs' primary purpose is as the blade stop.   Nice steel, Mikey!   - OS
  9. 3 hours doesn't sound too bad really....   Lived with wood stove as only heat for about 6 years once upon a time, and sawing/splitting/stacking/hauling wood was always a relatively enjoyable affair for me. 'Course I did use a chain saw and assortment of mauls and wedges/sledge.   Funny how some physical work of equal or more effort is enjoyable while some isn't, though. For example, I'd rather do wood or dig holes than mow grass. I absolutely hate mowing a lawn.   - OS
  10. Customer apparently works for municipal dept, maybe PD, or claims to, but doesn't seem to be a cop himself. This is all about NFA's new AR piston pistol the EXP. billed as "world's lightest 5.56 pistol". http://www.extarguns.com/ Seems they had to replace the hammer on the first 100 or so released, and somehow this one fellow just couldn't be satisfied some how or other. - OS
  11. I don't have but two "good" scopes, meaning that cost over about 50 clams, and one of them is on my Marlin .30-30. Went with Nikon ProStaff 3-9x40 with the matte BDC reticule. Because, was on sale for little over a hundred, and I had gift card, and it was free shipping and whatnot, and Nikon line is plenty fine with me. SG I believe, but might have been Cabela's. Anyway, wanted the BDC because .30-30 drops so much past 100 yards, thought it would be handy. And it is, though I haven't shot the thing in the last year I don't believe. I believe it's this reticule: But been shooting for the last 10 months or so at range that I can only get about 135 yards, and I don't hunt, so ha on me. - OS
  12. Found this link on another forum, think it's pretty funny.   Apparently a feller from New Frontier Armory had had his fill of a customer who they couldn't please and who has been bad mouthing them around the web. Did you see the "cursing" warning in title? :   https://soundcloud.com/joepublicforyou/obscene-phone-call   I know I would have felt better after letting loose with that. :)     - OS
  13. In OP's case, no, there was no reason at all necessary for getting the phone number after he had the gun in hand, though I myself wouldn't really care.   Last few firearms I've bought I've had shipped to FFL, so I wanted them to have my number, so I'd know when they got it.   Hell, CDNN doesn't even give you a tracking number, so had to depend on Bill's Outpost to let me know when they got it (which they're very quick about btw).   Matter of fact, all online sellers I've dealt with require a phone number. I suppose you can just lie, but again, why? I've had CDNN and Palmetto State both call me regarding glitches, wouldn't have gotten the thing at all if they couldn't have reached me.       - OS
  14.   Morning Joe Uber Rino was giving BHO hell this am for simply being STOOPID regardless of anything else, and even Mika The Commie was having to swallow hard and nod along with him.   - OS
  15. I know nothing about the company, but if they are up to snuff, that's not too terribly bad. Guess if NRA is behind it, bound to be ok?   But it's higher than my State Farm policy.   I'm paying  $198/yr for extra $10K for guns (on top of $2500 firearm coverage max on regular renter's policy).   10K worth would cost me more there: $140   I guess higher coverage would be similar too, but don't know.   I'd check with your regular insurer first to compare, see what a personal articles add on policy would run.       - OS
  16.   Can only tell you their basic Classic LPK is fine, but no experience with the high highfalutin trigger group. Must be new product,  no reviews and never noticed it before?   - OS
  17.   Where can 'Mericuns buy Chinese ammo anyway?   Except at WalMart, I mean. ;)   - OS
  18. Christie has said several times that he feels the very restrictive current New Jersey gun laws are "about right".   But I'm pert sure he'll sign any new ones in too.   - OS
  19.   All my firearms will assume "just in case" status long before I pay current top price for ammo.   - OS
  20.   No telling. Might have been terminally ill or something.   Certainly had all his marbles, calling the authorities in advance to come get the body.   - OS
  21.   Probably on advice of counsel, so he hopefully wouldn't, you know, sue them.   - OS
  22. I'll draw it on with crayons and spend the extra $150 or more on ammo.   Maybe.   Someday.   - OS
  23.   You have to already be dependent on the government to benefit from ObamaCare. Just more of the plan.   Probably includes a phone upgrade somewhere in there.   - OS
  24. Nice looking pistol. ;)   - OS
  25.   "Again" is key word. Ho hum.   Why don't they simply end the funding, since as I understand it, they can actually do that? Perhaps because the GOP has no plan to replace it, and know it would backfire on them?   - OS
