  1. Unless you want to spend big on fancy expanding "self defense" rounds, hard to beat just any ole .223 softpoint for all around. Somewhat less chance of passing all the way through at close range, plenty devastating (less dependent on optimum yawing/fragmentation on contact than FMJ), and you can even legally hunt with it. - OS
  2. AFAIK, LEOSA has never been tested in court system, so might well be found to be so. - OS
  3. I got one years ago for running a red light. I generally don't even cut them close, so I instantly got my hackles up. There was a link in there to a vid... and duh, I hadn't even come close to a full stop while turning right on red at a big intersection. Not knowing any of this possible dirt and legal gray area at the time, I paid it -- didn't hurt so bad since I was clearly guilty. - OS
  4. The lesson as always -- few good deeds go unpunished. - OS
  5. Sounds just like Trump himself justifying something he says as fact. - OS
  6. Yeah, federal firearm laws have always worked out so well for us and all like that there. - OS
  7. Ivana and Marla weren't ladylike enough. The Donald is all for immigration, as long as he marries the immigrant. - OS
  8. Are you legally able to have your NFA firearm in MO, meaning filed the paperwork? If so, FOPA should be in effect for the trip from one legal place to another legal place. Tell the LEO that accosts you in IL that I said that. - OS
  9. Again rehashing old topic, but if it passes, there will almost certainly be a judicial stay within a week or two in response to suits filed by any number of states. Gawd knows how much longer for a final judgement. Unless SCOTUS incorporates at least a minimal right to bear arms in the general public in addition to merely owning them, I'd imagine it will fail on the basis of states' rights on this one. - OS
  10. Bogus. Clinton won more than 57 counties in just a few states in the south I looked at in Leip's totals. Glancing around reports, looks like something around 2600 : 500 might be closer to reality, can't find an official tally, and I certainly ain't gonna take the time to tally them up. But if anyone wants to: http://uselectionatlas.org/RESULTS/ (click on each state to get visual county by county results, and even totals for each county (hover for % click to get actual numbers) Nothing really new here, the GOP has had a hugely lopsided edge in county totals for many years, including even during big Dem wins like in 2008 and 2012. The big diff was that Hillary didn't win as many of the most populous counties as BHO did in either election. - OS
  11. Yeah, I just wondered if you could group them by user, or even just your own if you wanted to review them all. Again, not an issue at this point with only a few images involved with the whole shebang. - OS
  12. Hell, I blew it in second post too, saying you can't delete them. I totally overlooked the little red trash can in the gallery image edit. Gallery hasn't really taken off, so not many images there, but how can you see all gallery images posted by a certain user? I can't even find a way to even find just my own? - OS
  13. Oh, the new gallery thang. Just experimented by adding a couple (to Knives section) -- seems that if you add pics to it, they stay for good. Can only edit description and tags. (wrong)
  14. Yeah, go to "My Attachments", use trash can icon on far right side for each image: Seems you have to do them one by one only. - OS
  15. Proposed budget "only" has yearly deficit of half a trillion dollars, but that's quite arbitrary in actuality, and Trump is pushing hard behind the scenes to raise the debt limit. The temporary measure to allow it expired yesterday, and the US government currently has less cash on hand than Apple or Google. So the question is whether to force an immediate economic crisis, or let the long term one continue, which means about the same level of increase as through the BHO years. - OS
  16. I'll be more than happy to stand any where at all should I live to be that old. - OS
  17. The often touted mantra by the right that "Obama added more federal debt than all presidents combined before him" is technically true at 7.9 trillion, but remember that Duyba accounted for the majority of all of it previously, at $5.8 trillion, so that's nothing for the GOP to really crow about. The fact is that the Trump budget is going to try and nuke a lot of a very small wedge of the cheese, and the fact that he's living more like a king than a president on our money while cutting out stuff like food programs and educational programs to the poor is uber hypocritical for a "populist". Especially since it won't even move the needle in the overall problem. Let them eat cake indeed. - OS
  18. And that was almost a month ago, more trips to Mar A Lago since. Not to mention ongoing security down there in place even when he's not there. Not to mention the minimum $250K per day for security at Trump Tower even when Trump isn't there since Melania won't live in the White House. http://www.snopes.com/melania-trump-nyc-costs/ "the elaborate lifestyle of America’s first family is straining the Secret Service and security officials, stirring financial and logistical concerns in several local communities, and costing far beyond what has been typical for previous presidents." https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/economy/trump-familys-elaborate-lifestyle-a-logistical-nightmare--at-taxpayer-expense/2017/02/16/763cce8e-f2ce-11e6-a9b0-ecee7ce475fc_story.html?postshare=3851487333451275&tid=ss_tw&utm_term=.b2e56de57a07 https://www.forbes.com/sites/niallmccarthy/2017/02/22/trumps-family-trips-cost-taxpayers-nearly-as-much-in-a-month-as-obamas-cost-in-a-whole-year/#3263fd736e49 - OS
  19. And wait 33 years for it to start saving you any bucks. - OS
  20. She paying Alabama in-state tuition rate? - OS
  21. Aha, a new wrinkle. I suppose that will happen periodically with the lifetime too, then. Though I'm confused about the interaction with TDL regarding the picture. I haven't had to update either in I dunno, going on ten years now I guess. - OS
  22. You never have to set foot in the DMV again to renew permit. EXCEPT if you want the lifetime. - OS
  23. Main reason I never quite bit on a 22/45 or Mark x and bought a S&W Victory. The sales of which obviously prompted Ruger to finally re-engineer the quick takedown Mark 4. - OS
  24. Heater in pocket holster in post above is Kahr PM 9mm, PF is just enough larger that it might be a bit problematic, dunno. - OS
  25. Pocket (most all the time anymore), StellarRigs: Or IWB, TT Gunleather: - OS
