  1.   Same here, and I had never opened Paint on my Win 7 box before AFAIK, since I don't use it. Had to look for it.   - OS
  2. Legend of Bagger Vance,  Bang the Drum Slowly, Tin Cup, off top of bean.   - OS
  3.   But then Mark O'Mara said he did have his gun on him, in waistband with shirt over it.   Oh, and O'Mara announced he would no longer take Zim as a client in any future cases.   He's also been hired on as CNN legal analyst.   - OS
  4.   Yeah, if you read the actual bills, they do, but most just justify why the bill is proposed, but don't necessarily shed much light on actual nuances in interpretation of the codified part. Recent "parking lot carry" bill had about as much "whereas" verbiage as actual code verbiage, but none of it helps on the gray areas of the bill itself. (pasted below as example)*   Those parts just don't get included in TCA, but the I presume the original passed bill text is always available somewhere.   - OS   ------------- * AN ACT to amend Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13, relative to handgun carry permits. 5.   Ruger makes the full name even fuller, they call it WMRF  :)   - OS
  6.   Well, I guess they were. If they'd found the probs during beta, there wouldn't be a recall.   - OS
  7. I've been saying here since BHO was reelected, that barring health issues or abrupt Very Bad Times that might swing things away from liberalism, she's a lock.   Not many rises, most folks want to dwell in denial, seems.   Also said she'll drop weight and look 50 by the time she cranks up, and that looks to be underway, too.   I've also said there's a chance Christie might wind up being her Veep, though I admit that's a long shot.   - OS
  8. That really looks sharp, Mikey, in more ways than one!
  9. Sounds fair. And fitting, since Rossi is owned by Taurus for some time now. :)   Rossi revolvers has a pretty fair rep for holding up. You might even be getting the better end of the deal.   edit: TrickyNicky's comment below reminded me to add that yeah, fit and finish is more in the Taurus/Charter camp, and if you want to drive nails with it day end and day out, Ruger and Smith would be worth holding out for.   - OS
  10.   A chauffeur who can criticize your choice of destination without making you angry.   - OS
  11.   Might as well get used to it.   - OS
  12. Probably won't beat Amazon's $64.83 in hand for the original leather handle model with leather sheath: http://www.amazon.com/KA-BAR-Marine-Corps-Fighting-Straight/dp/B001H53Q6M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1378767022&sr=8-1&keywords=kabar+usmc Grip is somewhat slick compared to the synthetic ones till it wears in some, btw, but it's the original classic. - OS
  13.   And from the White House, no less.   - OS
  14.   Actually, now that I think about it, it was the other way around, Jay Don made the comment, Fuzzy was the first through, revising story.  You must give me a pass for it being so long ago and also senioritis. Plus it sounds more like a Fuzzy comment.  :)   "When the legend becomes fact, print the legend."   - OS
  15.   Here's another.   Was fortunate enough to go to the '91 Masters, on final round Sunday no less.   Was standing behind green on the par 3 sixth for a long time before I started following groups in, Fuzzy Zoeller hits long and ball hits little girl, not hard or anything. As most pros do, Fuzz inquires if it hit anybody, anybody hurt, little girl says "it hit me on the leg". Following tradition, he gets a couple of balls, signs them and gives one to the little girl and one to her dad.   Some groups later, Jay Don Blake hits about same shot, gently hits another guy, same drill, he gives the guy a ball, just one though.  Guy's young son says loudly, "Fuzzy Zoeller" hit somebody and he gave them TWO balls!"   Blake laughed and says also fairly loudly, "Well, never let it be said that Frank Urban Zoeller Junior was more generous than Jay Don Blake !" And gets a couple more balls from the caddy and presents them.   Something about his using Fuzzy's formal full name really engrained that in my mind.   - OS
  16.   Yup, seems he's dumber than even I have assumed.   - OS
  17.   Well, my newest one from a year ago says that too. Wonder if they'll actually have it implemented three years from now when I have to do it again?   - OS
  18. Ah, here's first online report to surface, says he's in custody in Lake Mary, FL:   http://www.clickorlando.com/news/george-zimmerman-taken-into-custody-after-incident-with-gun-police-say/-/1637132/21851424/-/tlxm3oz/-/index.html?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter   http://www.theatlanticwire.com/national/2013/09/report-george-zimmerman-custody-after-gun-related-incident/69206/   - OS
  19. So he gets stopped for speeding a second time a few days ago.   Wife files for divorce  couple days ago.   Now something just breaking about threatening wife, gun involved. Or something.   Stay tuned.   - OS
  20. Seems to be exactly same thing as standard Winchester Super X in components.   A pictorial dissection:   http://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=6&f=1&t=318439   - OS
  21.   Yup. I've had big ass red tails do the same thing right here near the urb. I was standing about 10 feet away once when it happened. He actually struck a dove on way down but missed, got a cowbird as consolation prize. :)   - OS
  22.   Better. :)   Speaking of the Big Guy, take The Merry Mex's advise and carry a one iron in your bag so you can pull it out if lightening is anywhere near, since even God can't hit a one iron!      - OS
  23.   Here near the urb I gave up on the hummers years ago, as didn't get enough to make it worth the hassle, but I get more birds overall to the seed, suet, and thistle feeders I have than I did when I lived in the boonies.   Sometimes I'll be out there filling them up and it's like the impending doom of a scene from Hitchcock's The Birds, so many are hanging out, waiting to swoop in.   - OS
  24.   You know, I see people state that from time to time, but I have never seen one actual source that such was the case .. like from whoever actually crafted the language of the bill, etc. You know of a source?   - OS
  25.   Yep, and since the deficit level has actually shrunk a bit over the last two years, the lefty pundits now rejoice that BHO has put us on the road to fiscal sustainability.   Of course, it's a temporary drop in the bucket, and doesn't slow the national debt by more than a millisecond, and I imagine if we throw the first firecracker into Syria, in one way or another he'll make up for that slight dip in a hurry.   - OS
