  1.   Well, that 6K thing is their general statement in FAQ regarding all their guns in general.   And btw, KT warranty only good for first retail buyer anymore.   - OS
  2.   I went all out on specialty tools for the 3 lowers I've done -- a $5 castle nut wrench.  Actually, on first one, I got Dolomite to tighten it for me. :)   Never did an upper, though, found what I wanted complete each time, except for changing handguards. I did eventually buy a hand guard removal tool though, for full disclosure.   - OS
  3. So, what was he actually charged with; couldn't make it out in background when they cuffed him. Like unlawful carry, since he was carrying openly?   Or carrying on posted property, maybe? I know Texas has two different signage laws. I'm assuming revo was loaded?   Oh and remember in TN there's nothing in TCA definitions AFAIK to exempt antique/replicas from any of the firearm laws (except AG has opined that a felon could own one), so I wouldn't try it here with a loaded one without a permit, or in restricted place even with one.   - OS
  4.   Lotta knife for a under 12 kid to "learn" on IMO.   - OS
  5.   Likely best to post a new thread probably in Tactics/Training forum if you really are looking, unlikely to get much response here with existing thread title.   Various places around the state have been mentioned from time to time when topic has come up before.   - OS
  6. Description translation is hoot in itself.   - OS
  7.   It's not "baton" in the prohibition statue,  it's "club". Almost anything can be a "club" according to TCA definition,  including a sap (most likely thing I'd consider carrying).   Having one in your vehicle is a matter of interpretation and context, depending on what/where it is -- having an extensible baton is according to statute same as having a loaded firearm and is pretty clear cut, as there's no general reasonable use for it like with a baseball bat or tire thumper. Walking around with a "club" narrows intent down significantly.   The way defense statute is worded, "club or baton",  seems clear that if you have acceptable training certificate, would cover any "club", not just "batons".   - OS
  8.   Depends, Mini Mag line was always more, but Blazer bulk was as cheap as any. Great stuff too.   This range safe stuff oughtta be same price, since they save by using much less powder in it. :)   - OS
  9.   All the highly esoteric words were perfect. Copy and paste works a treat, though. ;)   - OS
  10.   Jeez, I need access to your thesaurus!   Saying that though, note that "fell" should be "feel" and "compliant" should be "complaint". :)   - OS
  11.   Yes, I'd call .12-.13 per round for low power .22LR "mighty high". Likely not even cycle a semi. Plus tax too, I guess.   - OS

To put that one in context, it's the "response vid" to Sara Silverman's original vid:   Her  original:   http://vo.fod4.com/v/f876edd60c/v600.webm   - OS
  13.   Geez, you never read the statute either? ;)   (also lists "Premises", which would suggest pretty much any legally controlled property).   - OS
  14.   Where you get "own, rent, lease"?   " 39-17-1308.  Defenses to unlawful possession or carrying of a weapon. ... It is a defense to the application of § 39-17-1307 if the possession or carrying was: ... At the person's: .... Place of residence;"   Under lawful conditions, even a minor may possess a loaded firearm.   - OS
  15.   Even Salim Idriss,  head of the US favored Free Syrian Army has called Israel an enemy,  so even the "best" ain't exactly in line with our policy.   'Course, you know, BHO has said how much he hates to deal with Bibi and all, so may he is in line with our actual policy.   - OS
  16.   Well, for prunes, sure, okay. ;)
  17. I'd like one lower, but a bit confused about the 6 FFLs thang. Meaning I don't want to drive from Knoxville to Johnson City or Chattanooga or some such to pick it up?   Btw, Bill's Outpost in Alcoa I'm sure would be happy to do them around here. $25 for first, less for additional ones I think.   - OS
  18.   Lowers are transferred as "other firearm" and "receiver" on the two fields of 4473.   Must be 21, not really exactly because it can be made into a pistol, but because it's simply not a long gun, which is only thing you can receive through FFL as per federal law at 18-20.   (PM'd you also in case you don't see this).   - OS
  19. Quite a while ago really, but main diff was re-profiling heel of blade to get rid of the dumb long ricasso: - OS
  20. Yeah, unless they get too reamed out somehow for pins to fit snugly, it's just the grooves in barrel that need to be cut (or re-cut if possible) to match. Btw, just saw this in CDNN's new catalog: - OS
  21.   Dunno, Sam's has plenty of fat maker bakery stuff, I actually avoid the pure carbo aisles.   - OS
  22.   I heard they had built in satellite smart phones.   - OS
  23.   Um, at Sam's. They'll also fix a flat for free, even if you didn't buy the tires there.   - OS
  24. Sam's does me fine, still have biz account, $45/year, a bit cheaper than Costco,  get extra free card for my mom, get in at earlier hours if I want, etc. It's much closer to me, and next to a Wally's also. Majority purchases are groceries and save at least 25% over same from Kroger overall, and more than that on meat. Plus, I'm just not gonna pay for a membership to spend at two places.   I'd likely be just fine with using only Costco too, if they were the closer store.   Oh, one other perk, I can get Sam's/Wally gift cards with my Universal Credit Card kickback, but not Costco.   - OS
  25.   Though I "liked" your post, I'm afraid I don't think it's enough to "wake" enough of the overall electorate to reroute the liberal roller coaster for the presidency. I still believe only truly Bad Times that disrupt the Uncle Sugar Train will change it.   As usual, this whole Syrian saga is only on the radar of maybe 1 or 2  in 10 folks who vote in the American Idol race every 4 years.   - OS
