  1.   CNN is becoming much more middle of the road in the last year, like they started.   Oh, and previous thread already started:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/70400-gay-liberal-commentator-for-cnn-trashes-gun-control-crowd/   - OS
  2.   TV Guide search didn't find any listings
  3.   Won't matter in most all the states as much as it will here if they do.   - OS
  4.   Quite good job, especially for a quickie.   - OS
  5.   124 Frontiersman is discontinued. They did put out a limited "Heritage" edition though, and you can still find them for sale:   http://www.amazon.com/Buck-Heritage-Series-Frontiersman-Micarta/dp/B0081SRG2I/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top   http://www.midwayusa.com/product/547984/buck-124-frontiersman-fixed-blade-knife-625-drop-point-420hc-stainless-steel-blade-micarta-handle-black   http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC1.A0.Xbuck+frontiersman&_nkw=buck+frontiersman&_sacat=0&_from=R40 (this includes both original and Heritage, note diff in pricing)   But no longer listed on Buck's site. They might actually have some laying around though, but if not, the best they could offer would be some replacement at same value. Dunno how the "same value" works though, since an original Frontiersman has gone way up to collectors.   I don't remember from other thread, UncleJak, did you ask them about it?   - OS
  6.   That sums up my take on it all quite well.  I can perfectly empathize with Starbucks' quandary on the issue. They never wanted to be a focus for gun rights activists or gun grabbers.   - OS
  7.   In this state, statutorily compliant posting already has force of law. And it may not have to even be compliant, no case law, as the statute does not specifically exonerate you in the case of a non-compliant notice. A "legal" posting is rather a misnomer, as it is not "illegal" to put up any kind of posting, statutorily compliant or not.   Barring that, existing trespassing laws would prevail here, and in all states.   No court would ever rule that information disseminated on the Net could be binding in any way, would have to presuppose that everyone has access, and further is even basically obligated to also be aware of everything that is on it!   - OS
  8.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/56680-faq-how-do-i-post-pictures-here/   Photobucket is probably most popular choice, but there are others.   Or you can use your own ISP's free webspace, I stash all of mine on Comcast.   - OS
  9.   A FaceBook post sufficing for some sort of binding legal public notice? Doubt it seriously.   - OS
  10.   Well, yeah, I was referring to rail length using standard delta ring and handguard cap with A2 block/sight. Standard config like that with middy adds a bit over 2" of real estate, which doesn't sound like much, but it makes all the diff with room for your hand with say using a bipod.   Main reason I think so many folks use a vertical forward grip with carbine is just because there's insufficient handroom with the way they have configured it. I don't much like VFGs myself though.   But yeah, if you go with a free float setup, you have lots more handguard/rail options regardless of gas length.   - OS
  11.   They are in all 50 states AFAIK, and signage is only legally binding in maybe 3. I feel safe in saying that giving "tacit approval" for gun owners in TN is not part of their decision.   - OS
  12.   Lester, you can get 16" with carbine or midlength gas, I recommend mid.   Gives longer handguard, the extra real estate is very handy indeed, especially if you attach anything on the bottom or sides, and it's generally a smoother less snappy running action. Some claim less "recoil" also, but I think that part is mostly subjective rather than empirical.   - OS
  13.   Still a limit of a whopping one box. Obviously, if you don't buy some other stuff, it's expensive if it was free.   - OS
  14. Policy makes no sense.   Just how are they supposed to communicate they don't want guns in the store? Directives already say not to engage customer regarding the matter unless he asks.   No mention of any signage going up. Which of course would vary by state as to relevancy anyway.   - OS
  15.   I guess I'll have to fight with you Christians, since I already know the language and all. ;)   - OS
  16.   Well, there's a thought. Maybe failure to read directions? :)   - OS
  17.   Well, maybe, but carrier/bolt is still getting the whole gas pressure impulse immediately like always, and usually with any kind of stuck casing, will just skip over the rim and leave brass fully or partially in chamber -- or if extractor is super gripper, like with the stiffer spring and O ring setup, will just tear right through it, brass and steel casings alike.   - OS
  18.   They'll be perfectly satisfied with taking them away over two generations. Depending on ones age now, the "correctly taught" grandchildren or great grandchildren will be the ones turning the last of them in when they  find them in the attic.   - OS
  19. I was going on ejection pattern only. If extractor and ejector are up to snuff, here is general rule of thumb, at least for 5.56/.223: It's possible maybe the gas block is not optimally positioned over barrel port. Free float handguard I guess? If so, did you add the scootch of space that the normal handguard bracket would have occupied? Why are you so sure it's OVER gassed? I don't know what could significantly increase felt recoil on an AR where at least with .223 there just ain't much, though actually you intimated that .223 is more than .300. ("recoil is pretty crazy for a Blackout and even a .223 for that matter"). - OS
  20.   They call it that because it's 62 gr, but it's American Eagle also, and doubt it's loaded to NATO heat.   - OS
  21.   48.8  with tax plus a dime.   - OS
  22.   And was chief of psychiatry at Mass Gen.     Well, not totally. He has at least some hand/arm control, as drives his chair and own car with hand controls.   They also have a son, and can't find anywhere that he was adopted, so ...   - OS
  23. Rachel Maddow "reported" that Alexis couldn't buy an AR-15 in VA because he was from out of state, but could buy the shotgun. I don't know of VA law about this, and there's certainly no federal one. Anyone know? Also, the "double barreled" shotgun has turned out to be an 870 pump. A "tactical assault" one though, of course. - OS
  24. If there's no release, you couldn't empty live round from chamber without firing it, eh?   All pumps I've ever known about lock the round in, and only unlock by firing or pressing release. Unless they're broken or worn out.   - OS
  25.   How can it possibly be hitting the lower? Did you mean "upper"?   And do you mean the shell deflector part? If it's hitting that each time, all else being up to snuff, it's UNDERgassed on a 5.56 config, I guess same on a BLK too?   - OS
