  1.   Don't see how that would matter a whit to TSA.   - OS
  2.   Doubt if anybody has made a cast lower in the last five years or more. Most are of course forged.   There are also extruded and billet, so at least four types of processes have been used.   - OS
  3.   So, think ahead:   https://www.google.com/search?q=twix+peanut+butter+original&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#newwindow=1&q=twix+peanut+butter+original&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbm=shop   - OS
  4.   They're gonna scan whatever bag you have, don't see how it would make much diff. But on other hand, no sense having any molle pouches on it you aren't actually gonna use on trip, just in case it prompted a more thorough search. Ultimately, though, ain't nothing forbidden about it. Make sure there ain't any empty ammo casings hidden away anywhere -- they seem to freak out over them. Hell, they're actually illegal in D.C.   - OS
  5. I carry one 3 days a week or more for 3 years or so now, and I mean carry like on foot. Has lots of molle stuff, but no gun stuff. That's in my pocket. :) Well, actually, that is a dump pouch on top. There's even another small pouch attached to other side of the water bottle one. I realize this ain't what most of y'all have in mind as a EDC bag for work and everything, but works great for walks to the Y and my routine errands to Kroger and here and there. I range far enough it's a comfort to have basic "survival" items in there when I do, while still having enough empty space for groceries and whatnot that I pick up and tote home. It's a nice all around size, big enough to carry a good bit of stuff, but not so big to be cumbersome. - OS
  6.   Wasn't chastising, only mentioned it so folks could see previous comments if this was first time they saw it come around on here.   - OS
  7. I think the main reason the AR community doesn't worry much about head space is because it's set by the manufacturer rather than the end user, and no manufacturer that didn't consistently do it correctly wouldn't be in biz long, either because folks quit buying or they were sued to death.   All the more reason to use bolts from reputable source I guess, as that figures into it too.   - OS
  8.   Pretty simple, get individual insurance, get Obamacare, or owe increasing fines, like anyone else who doesn't qualify for Medicaid or Medicare.   - OS
  9.   You have to believe somebody's spin that either side "wanted" to shut it down, period.   Certainly the Dem's had no absolutely no reason to even seriously consider it until the ACA condition in the CR was put in by the GOP.   - OS
  10. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/69918-what-sound-does-the-fox-make/
  11.   Sellout what for what, exactly? What do you think is best possible that could happen that you would like?   - OS
  12.     Well, Voles go 5-7, probably never see them again.   - OS
  13. Some used to say that about "hoarding" .22LR, too.   - OS
  14.   Trick is that what used to be called crazy hoarding is now seen as prudent foresight.   - OS
  15.   Umm, explain the point to me exactly of becoming "legally poor"? All that to get health insurance subsidized and a free phone with limited minutes or what?   - OS
  16.   Boehner will be relieved, can say was out of his hands.  He's been held hostage by about 30 Reps through this whole thing and has only had to pretend the House GOP had a totally united front. It was united enough to put the ACA defunding in the first time, but not united enough to shut the government down when Senate sent it back, if he had allowed a vote on it.   - OS
  17. Reid isn't going to allow any of the individual House funding bills to be heard.   If Boehner would have allowed the vote, the existing Senate bill with ACA stripped would have already passed.   - OS
  18. "The Nashville Business Journal is reporting that Community Health Alliance, Tennessee’s Obamacare health insurance co-op.."   This whole report is bogus as regarding the ACA, Daily Caller just as bad as left wing propaganda on this one.   TN has no ACA exchange program. The only way to sign up is to go through the federal sign up options, just like any of the other 25 states or so that didn't set up exchanges.   There are no independent contractors for ObamaCare except the official state run exchanges. The CHA is some kind of insurance co-op, but can't "sell" you Obamacare, ie, there's no connection to ACA at all.   - OS
  19.   Yeah, some if not all of the same original footage.   - OS
  20.     Oh, okay, not just me then.   Here's original version, from YouTube pretty low res, might be better one somewhere.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J3eQmzw6n3k They also did a 10th anniversary version, too, "We'll Never Forget", pretty much same, without the snow. Better res. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tl6YOYdBiQ4 - OS
  21. Doesn't work on my puter, just goes to some sign in mobile PhotoBucket page.   .....   edit: never mind, seems to work for everyone but me.   - OS
  22.   Hardly anyone ever does, as most everyone gets a barrel with the barrel extension already installed, and that's what sets it, assuming your bolt is also within spec.   Of course you're trusting the manufacturer to do it correctly, but as I understand it, they'd have to have really blown it badly for it to not be within spec parameters.   - OS
  23.   Thanks. Then that's the third BS detail.   - OS
  24.   You mean you called, or what?
  25.   How the hell did you do that?
