  1.   It's not "capable of fully automatic fire", in any position, eh?   - OS
  2.   On second thought, you're probably right, as many other hollow points in other calibers are also jacketed, but of course aren't considered FMJ. I guess it's just that hole is so small on .223 it doesn't really resemble what I think of as conventional hollowpoints, made me wonder.   But yeah, I guess a round can't classified as both a hollowpoint and a FMJ.   - OS
  3.   No caliber restrictions for making a pistol.   - OS
  4. Isn't it still FMJ, though, like pic below? Or does a FMJ hollowpoint make it technically no longer FMJ? - OS
  5.   Before the panic, BendMeOverGanderMountain here always had CB shorts, regular shorts ("high power")  and longs, in addition to regular .22LR.   I have one box each of CCI CB shorts and HP shorts -- may never see them again for all I know.   - OS
  6.   So does every anti-gun pol, including the president.   Even though not to mention deer, it's probably the most widely used varmint rifle all over the country.   - OS
  7.   Didn't work on a Kydex holster I tried to repair, though. Was quite surprised.   - OS
  8.   Yep, true that. Really, about any firearm related offense can, just takes a stink raised to TNDOS.   Note that neither Yeager or Kwik violated anything in 1351, but rather got smacked under the catchall "Poses a material likelihood of risk of harm to the public" in 1352.   - OS
  9.   Or like other networks, FOX reporting falsehoods without checking facts, too.   Like the recent reporting that BHO gave personal donation to keep Muslim museum open:   http://guardianlv.com/2013/10/president-obama-to-pay-for-museum-of-muslim-culture-to-stay-open/   http://politix.topix.com/homepage/8323-fox-host-apologizes-for-fake-story-claiming-obama-is-funding-muslim-museum   - OS
  10. All my ARs and 2 Minis have eaten it fine, just like other Tula.   Sounds like it's sticking in chamber, first thing to try is super good chamber cleaning with chamber brush.    Quick search shows something about that Sig having some sort of  proprietary extractor "extension"? Maybe that figures in somehow?   - OS
  11.   There's no actual penalty specified for refusing to show your permit when asked in 39-17-1351.  I guess it's failure to obey lawful order or something covered elsewhere?   - OS
  12. Why not unlawful possession of a weapon, too? Reckon the guy had impact weapon certificate?   - OS
  13. Oh, okay. I not a Ducker, so it was Greek to moi.
  14. I don't get it. That supposed to be a vid for explanation?   - OS
  15.   Likely an individual has never been charged with "wrong type of weld".  Guessing spec was perhaps added to control manufacturing, but dunno.   - OS
  16. Well, looks like we've got some new disease to face now. Started with the pig, maybe, but it sure ain't cholera.   - OS
  17. A bit misleading the way they put it, as most of those states ban either handguns or all guns from private sales period, not just at gun shows. Here's another to cross reference from opencarry.org: - OS
  18.   They're just perfect for a 5.56 "battle" rifle, but may take ya up on that for one dedicated to the .22LR.   Once the TGO lower comes in, gonna dump the polymer one on pistol, and I also have a spare PSA aluminum one I never built either.   - OS
  19.   Only fair, being I'm semi-official Ombudsman and English Nazi, eh?   - OS
  20.   Yeah, the block is really just there to hold a front sight and the cap for the rifle length handguard.   Didn't come with sights, so I put Magpul polymer ones on it, including the front, since the block doesn't get hot. I keep this in bag with a full 5.56 AR, and swap the quick detach bipod off it onto this one sometimes. I'm thinking I might give it its own lower at some point, with a souped up trigger.   - OS
  21. Oh Shoot

    P238

I had read that in a review, but couldn't find it mentioned anywhere in SIG's docs, so didn't mention it as fact.   - OS
  22. I dunno, gun collage can be darn cool: :) - OS
  23.   They would be appalled to know you have to pay for privilege to carry a gun. They'd have started the Revolution again to know you can't carry one on in our own capitol.   - OS
  24.   Private sales at gun shows are already illegal in state of New York. Private sales of handguns are illegal everywhere in the state. Of course, I'm sure these two wouldn't research actual laws before spouting off.   - OS
