  1. If they do, I guess somebody close to the Obamas will be getting a huge no-bid contract to sandblast all the Christian references on all the federal edifices around the nation.   - OS
  2.   Yeah, even an overall Dem drubbing at the polls in '14 wouldn't likely do it, unless a miracle of GOP retaking the Senate happened also.   - OS
  3.   Nothing is impeachable until both chambers find it politically expedient to do it. The House, of course, would be happy to charge BHO since the 2010 midterm, but there's zero to be gained until they know the Senate will try him.   - OS
  4.   We know exactly how many voted, state by state and county by county. We don't have how many "might have voted", because it's an unquantifiable projection, unknowable. The only "might have voted" stat that's valid is the total number of registered voters, which never gets anywhere near 100% participation.   National election participation varies every year -- it hasn't hit 60% of eligible voters since 1968. 2012 was about 3% lower participation than 2008, but 2012 was also well over the average since 1968 also.     - OS

    shipping

Yeah, UPS ("mail innovations")  and FedEx ("smartpost") services that use USPS for final delivery generally add 2-4 days to the whole shebang. Advantages: cheaper, don't have to be home to get it most of the time, etc. Disadvantage: slow   Hell, even DHL has somehow gotten involved again with US domestic shipments using USPS as final leg, have gotten two of them through eBay in the last month or two.   - OS
  6.   Amen. Everything I've ever read indicates that credit cards are much less of a risk and hassle after getting hit than some debit card accounts can be. As Robo just mentioned, look at what he had to do even though he had "account protection" he paid extra for.   Credit cards are great, as long as you don't use them for loans. Matter of fact, they'll give you free money back. Really, money in your pocket you'd never have otherwise, just for buying what you would anyway!   - OS
  7. Referring to this:   http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2013/11/01/obama-creates-climate-change-task-force/   Rather unclear exactly what it means in real world action thus far, seems. But of course no Hussein EO bodes well.   Here's the EO itself:   http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/2013/11/01/executive-order-preparing-united-states-impacts-climate-change   - OS
  8.   Well, since Obama won Virginia twice, that's already been a relatively fair contention, seems to me. At least North Carolina wised up after 2008, but not Virginny.   - OS
  9.   Maybe, maybe not. Remember it's not the total votes (ask Al Gore). You'd have to break it down somehow state by state to determine if those uncast votes spread around the 50 states would have actually made a difference in electoral votes from any, and which ones, of those 50 states.   For example, they couldn't have made any difference at all in the states that Mitt won, so you'd have to throw all those out from your projected total from the gitgo.   Anyway, your premise has been offered quite a bit, but I've never seen any real breakdown of data to really support that it would have changed the overall electoral totals. I guess, because it's not possible to really plug in real numbers in all the various states.   - OS
  10.   Don't think it'll be nearly enough to swing it for Cuch though, he and McDonnell have alienated too many for too long.   - OS
  11. Just shows what a profit margin they have to absorb all the fraud.   I got my first credit card in '92 and it's the one I've used predominately through the years, (Universal Master Card with kickback), never a bit of trouble until about 2 years ago, got a call, "did you buy a plane ticket from Chicago to Beirut?". Nope, and looked on line and there were besides that a couple of online purchases, dinky ones like $20 or less and that plane ticket.    No idea. Hadn't used it for any online stuff for a month or more except for vendors I'd used before, and only actual swipes in a month had been at Kroger. Canceled and over-nighted me new card, even though I said regular mail would be fine, they insisted.   About two weeks ago, used it for a $400 Sam's shop, they called me to verify. Dunno why on that particular one, since I've used it for more than that there and other places who knows how many times since the scam.   What I don't understand is how this works. I mean, you have to also have the corresponding billing address to use them online. (the plan ticket was bought online). Is your address imbedded in the data that the various electronic sniffers and swiper inserts get too? 'Cause an actual swipe at point of sale doesn't reveal that, does it?   - OS
  12.   Yeah, 1:7 fine for those, and also better than 1:9 for any heavier stuff too, but not probably for lighter weight loads.   Chrome is of course fine, melonite is as good or better, plain chrome-moly is the one that's not lined at all, though lots of folks say it's more accurate and just as durable if you clean it regularly, but probably splitting hairs.   If you get a PSA barrel that states made by FN, they claim some kind of double deep super duper chrome lining or somesuch, but anyway they are very good barrels by all accounts.   - OS
  13.   Lots of us are pretty good at spending other folks' bucks. :)   Actually, I'm a big PSA fan, in spite of their often crummy turn around times and communication, have two (mostly) PSA midlength rifles.   - OS
  14. Not real sure that BHO's endorsement is much of a plus right now, wouldn't be surprised to see McAuliffe drop a few points just because of it!   - OS
  15.   Good find there too, that's also fine deal.   - OS
  16. 10 guys could walk into most any airport in the US and cut loose just like this guy did, or detonate bombs, whatever.   There's no real protection from people who are willing to die to get the mayhem done, unless we change our entire way of life ala Israel or similar.   - OS
  17.   Good square deal there, but you see that it's FDE only, right?   - OS
  18.   It really is, but I get the sense that the majority of folks who are most likely to vote third party lean more conservative.   If that is indeed valid, it would simply help sway x more elections for x length of time, both local and national, to the left. Which just means less chance of ever turning anything around in this country (though I believe the die is already irrevocably cast anyway).   - OS
  19.   There is a defense for doing just that in TCA, though I admit YMMV as to degree of adherence among various LEOs you might encounter.   - OS
  20. Polls show Cuch with 38% deficit among women voters. That's plenty to lose right there even if all else were a dead heat.   Same old dumbass GOP mistake, gotta learn to stay out of them vaginas.   - OS
  21. Btw, this whole quest to get "meds" for the virus is pretty lame, since there ain't any antibiotics for virii in the first  place.   - OS
  22.   I saw several for doing LinkSys ones, but didn't know if all brands were same. Plus seems his Netgear will do that without it.   - OS
  23.   I guess that's accurate counting all registered voters? But regardless,  consider the larger stat -- something like 110 million who were eligible didn't vote.   The question though,  is whether it would have made any difference in the outcome if all of them were registered and also voted, seems likely to me that BHO would simply have won by a much larger margin.   - OS
  24. That Netgear model seems to be repeater capable.   Quick search shows how to do it, sources from Netgear and Netgear forums themselves:   https://www.google.com/search?q=NETGEAR+WGR614v9+as+repeater&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a   Looks like you can do it without even replacing firmware with the DD-WRT open source option.   hth,   - OS
  25.   Sounds like Walt Whitman run through BabelFish a couple of times. :)   - OS
