  1.   Well, it wouldn't be as bad as Goldwater's defeat, since we are a more polarized nation now, but still very lopsided.     I don't think we can accurately call ourselves a Constitutional Republic any more period. Need something more descriptive, like  a Consolidated Corruption or some such.   - OS
  2.   Grindhouse: Planet Terror best I remember?   - OS
  3. Doesn't help with clicking edit instead of quote, though, duh.
  4.   Plus on the fly spell check!   - OS
  5.   I only remember the Kaboom part, can't remember how it worked out tween Music and UltraMax.   - OS
  6.   Atkins Accelerator and  the "fake suppressor" they decided wasn't (I forget which firearm) are two others.   - OS
  7. You know, guys, if by some miracle the GOP runs say, a Paul/Cruz ticket or similar, I think you're going to be amazed at just how conservative this country isn't.   - OS
  8.   Doesn't grab me. Before you buy one, put a regular buffer tube against your shoulder. That's same length of pull you get with the brace. The brace may be more gentle against shoulder due to surface area, but it's still a super scrunched up close to your work hold.   I find buffer tube laid alongside cheek is very comfy, no shoulder, elbow, neck, or wrist cramps, and just about equally stable.   - OS
  9.   I've heard they lynch people who can't say and spell it correctly. ;)   - OS
  10.     BATF is well aware how the brace is being used. There are thousands of posts on beau coup sites and oddles of pix showing people shouldering them.   However, there is nothing in the USC, CFR, or court decision, or ATF rulings about how a firearm must be handled or fired. There are only laws and rulings based on the laws regarding how firearms can be configured.   Holding a legally configured handgun against your shoulder is no more illegal than shooting a legally configured long gun from the hip (or the feller who shoots his 1911 with his feet).  Nobody in US history has ever been prosecuted for how they hold their legal firearm to fire it. There is no legal definition or ruling whatsoever wherein a pistol becomes a rifle or a rifle a pistol due to how it's held during firing.   On the other hand, BATF could re-rule any time that the SB15 constitutes a stock, too, then game over for it. They've done it with other firearm accessories in the past that they initially approved.   And btw, the letter allowing it is not even to SIG, but to the developer, Alex Bosco, for his prototype, who used what appears to be totally different material for the device (though he has stated on another forum that it's "the same".)   edit: I see I already covered this last part in post 29, didn't grok this was same older thread till after I replied.   - OS
  11.   Well, they managed to knock about 1.5 million folks off extended unemployment starting right after Xmas with their bill. Of course, there's 1.5million + rest of relatives votes gone, too, if they weren't already.   Maybe they should have "shut down" gummit again, then many wouldn't even have had to spend any money for 2014 race, as they could just go ahead and concede?   - OS
  12. Don't run any UltraMax through it, eh? - OS
  13.   Ad/program is only tax free in certain "zones", and it's not for "moving" businesses, must be a new start-up biz only. So, not nearly as full tilt biz friendly as it sounds on first blush.   http://startup-ny.com/     - OS
  14.   I just want to be able to carry my 5.5" Voyager.   - OS
  15. I've got a PEPR with QD on an AR. Just make sure the tension adjusting doobers are in correct position as Peace mentions. Has been rock steady, and quite good at keeping zero when unmounted/remounted. I've since changed scope to a nice Nikon and some other stuff too, but still use the PEPR. - OS

    DSLR's

Sam's sells 4 different Nikon DSLR two lens outfits. You might go by and jot down the model numbers and do some research.   - OS
  17.   Well, the word gets "defined" by everybody, but at heart, "neoconservatism" is simply a return to a more conservative viewpoint from a previous more liberal/radical one. Certainly Reagan was the epitome of neoconservationism, as he hadn't just leaned left, he was solidly left as only the president of a union can be.   First coined in the early '70s btw, and I still don't really understand what has often become the pejorative usage of calling a pol a neocon, except of course from the left, as they see the loss of one of their own.   At any rate, however you want to define it, I'll take any kind of conservative over a lib even narrowly measured on the balance beam, life long ("evercon"?) or more newly converted. :)   - OS
  18.   Hell, leave it if you like it.
  19.   Nope. The circular ribbing faces out, it's "tactile" for your fingertip.   - OS
  20.   I'm lost. What does MSNBC have to do with it?   Levin and Hannity are "neocons"? When were they libs?   Reagan I suppose is the most famous neocon mentioned so far, if you consider his entire political life.   - OS
  21.   And, it's the one place on TGO, except for avatars,  that you can attach pix straight from your computer, rather than just only linking to them from storage off site.   - OS
  22.   I've gotten shipping email notifications numerous times after various PSA orders were in my hands. One of them was sent 3 or 4 times, finally quit about 2 months after order was delivered.   The web/email interface with actual shipping status has never been one of PSA's strong suits.   - OS
  23.   Yup, last two are definitely XD service and XD sub compact.   - OS
  24. He was a communist and an (at least indirect) terrorist. He also was the major reason apartheid was ended and democratic government instituted in South Africa.   Pick the parts of the man you love and hate, I suppose.   - OS
