  1.   Yeah, but I didn't mean a transfer. Just making a NFA firearm, like SBR or AOW, which seems to be what most everyone here does. No FFL involvement needed, right?   - OS
  2.   No mystery about the Lusitania, hundreds of survivors too.   - OS
  3. Now Heineken and  Guinness have done same:   http://money.cnn.com/2014/03/16/pf/guinness-parade/   Rupert Murdoch has called on Irish people to boycott Guinness. Right.   - OS

    Remington R-51

Anyone mentioned that you can reassemble it wrong, with no indication of a prob until it stops shooting?   http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2014/02/foghorn/gun-review-remington-r51/   - OS
  5.   The LGS doesn't get anything out of it at all unless it's selling a NFA item that's involved though, right? Meaning, you're just asking them to take the time to do it for good PR or whatever?   - OS
  6.   But of course in the TV version she instantly puts a couple more into service right after they all flee the prison.   - OS
  7.   That's my consistent carp with the production: if you're gonna postulate a fantastic premise, the rules for it need to all be credible for dramatic suspension of disbelief -- whether it's the gunplay, zombie physiology and behavior, supporting plot details, whatever.   - OS
  8. Meaning, it nuked their "desire" to attack? Yet disembodied heads still try to bite until the brain is destroyed? Puleeese... - OS
  9.   Well, if zeds are now attracted to fire, there's another inconsistent change. Inconsistent "rules" of the zed behavior has been the biggest detriment to suspension of disbelief in the whole series for me.   The biggest , that nobody else has mentioned: how come Michonne can walk around with a couple of neutralized zeds as camouflage? First of all, why would they suddenly just walk behind obediently instead of still trying to attack?  Also, if this worked, then why wouldn't the first zed or two on the scene trying to get to a human, especially inside a house or something, not trigger the same non-response for all the others?   At any rate, if zeds are attracted to fire, that would be a good way to get rid of them. Nobody has even used it as a decoy to get out of a scrape.     That might work as plot device, but the smoke from the fire they kept seeing looked very localized, almost like from a stack.   - OS
  10.   Why would there be those burned zeds coming from it? There were no zeds around when they burned it.   - OS
  11.   I'm guessing a chain of complaint after this stuck in their craw, like eventually to Moonbeam, or maybe Feinstein or Pelosi who'd have the clout to "suggest" the ATF take a look and see if they can't find something illegal. Ya never know, might have even gotten a little prod from BHO himself if one of them bent his ear on it.   That's the thing about the selective law enforcement of this whole admin, everything's secret and things are either ignored or hammered primarily because of political philosophy.   - OS
  12.   Seems that this one is disputed about how it is made. ATF says they make actual firearm first, then fill in the holes and voids. Ares says they make the parts to be removed, and "mold the lower around it".   So seems ATF is saying their method, whatever it is,  is actually constructing a firearm, as opposed to folks who make the blanks with no holes or voids at all. Or something like that.   I have seen one being advertised that has what you remove made out of a different color or material or something before though. Or maybe that was actually Ares' offering and it didn't click, dunno.   I don't think this has been mentioned yet -- here is NutnFancy's vid on Ares from February,  showing that the city was already out to get them before the feds ever jumped in there. However you feel about him, he makes great point about the "gay pot shop" compared to the "gun store" mentioned toward the beginning of it, btw. Also has the owner and etc in it, just started it myself.     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzBkcUZnm-w   - OS
  13.   Your predilection for point shooting is where that grip angle diff really shows up.   Even I can hit something with them using the sights, but point and shoot they're always significantly high compared to any other handgun I've ever used for that, semi or revo.   - OS
  14.   Seems Federal Judge Janis L. Sammartino modified her TRO, enough so that the ATF decided the reason for the raid wasn't prohibited by it.   Dimitrios Karras posed his petition for it, but I don't think either, or both, versions of the actual TRO are actually released anywhere, so all is speculation, seems.   - OS
  15. Trying the .iso download for ya, kinda slow only 1 meg/sec.  "Says" it's 3.1 gb total on server end, we'll see.   - OS   edit:   Yep, somethings wonky on their end, got file:   X17-24209.iso - 1.75 GB (1,889,533,952 bytes)   - OS
  16. The Feds got the restraining order modified before the raid, at least enough to justify their tactics in their own view, but still very doubtful they didn't completely overstep.   Will be interesting to see how this one plays out over time.   - OS
  17. Possibilities apparently revised good while ago, I keep seeing maps more like these based on max fuel range: I guess I'm not understanding why so many maps are showing just the four hour area after contact instead of the 7 hour max fuel one, though. - OS
  18.   Started as EO from Bush the elder regarding guns, another from Clinton involving ammo,  and another from Dubya not sure exactly regarding which or both, not sure if those are the only reasons now. I've read a lot of crap about Most Favored Nation and Permanent Trade Relation Nation intricacies also -- which I don't understand, since US designates China as both as I understand it.   So, additional question: how come Russia hasn't started pumping .22LR into the States? They do make it over there.   - OS
  19.   Well, yanno, he could have vetoed it and see if Congress overrode him if he didn't believe in it. A year later and he was desperately backpedaling to center to win reelection anyway.   - OS
  20.   Yeah, that's what I've gleaned from reading. Best to not even use any solvent to clean at all, and don't decide to lube it with anything else. It's sort of like Microsoft for guns, no open source involvement allowed. ;)   - OS
  21.   Good catch. I bet none of the intelligence orgs even thought to check CraigsList, duh.   - OS
  22.   That and the little AWB thang a year later.   - OS
  23.   Never saw that word before:   "Supergrass is a British slang term for an informer, which originated in London", just for anyone else who wondered.   - OS
  24.   Both are already Schedule II drugs here. It's just that the hydro becomes Schedule III in doses of 15mg or less in combination with non-controlled drug, most commonly an NSAID, which is the way it's most often prescribed.   - OS
  25.   Yeah, SG really is aces for their shipping practices, and also for returns. It and Amazon really are the exemplars for overall shipping/returns/customer service in those regards.   - OS
