  1.   Knoxville rec areas are not prohibited for carry by state law, but by local ordinance, and signage isn't required. You just have to know, you know?   - OS
  2.   Got it. That's all I was really asking.   Seems rather dumb to me, whoever made that up, using 5 characters a short for 2. Like "abbreviating" Alex by using Alexander!   - OS
  3.   So I guess I have to figure this out myself. L-DUB = LWRC ?   Like L + Double-u = LW,  a 5 character "abbreviation" for two letters?   - OS
  4.   Still don't get it.  I-dub is a nickname for LWRC? Is that a capital "i" or a small "l"? Just never seen it used before.   - OS
  5. I'll bite: what's an I-dub?   - OS
  6. They come is various colors, chose this one so you can hole locator stubs easier. - OS
  7.   Yeah, that's gotta be it. My suspension of disbelief thanks you. I think. :)   - OS
  8.   Yes you can and no you're not. :)   - OS
  9.   ATF getting the customer records would indicate possible searches of homes of those who bought it. If they decide it's an illegal firearm and you have it, well, put that in your anonymous and smoke it. ;)       Btw, y'all, the main thread on this is at:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/76977-ares-armor-files-restraining-order-against-the-batfe/   - OS
  10.   Belarc Advisor will also show the key from a running Windows installation plus of course oodles of other stuff.   - OS
  11. Well, "everybody" now saying that the left turn was programmed in before the co-pilot said "good night". So indicates one of both of the pilot/co-pilots had intentionally pulled the nasty. Or not.   But "everyone" has said all along that the two did not request this flight together, was random assignment, which would seemingly ruled out a pre-planned collusion. Maybe. Or not. Whatever.   - OS
  12.   And haven't had my turkey neck excised.   - OS
  13.   Yes, I've always tried to live by that myself.   - OS
  14.   Yep. With all the frigging lawyers on the frigging hill in Nashville, why can't these friggers write a frigging bill that doesn't have some huge frigging gray area in it?   "adult person not prohibited from owning a firearm by state or federal law" would of course do it, assuming they want to exclude minors  So give me my frigging honorary JD already.   - OS
  15.   Various of our current domestic animals have been selectively bred for 20,000 years or more to get to their current state. We'd only vaguely recognize a pig or cow from even as recent as 8,000 BCE. So "messing" with them is certainly nothing new.   - OS
  16.   What does it say?   - OS
  17. Just a Rem 870 6+1 with double naught, cheap shell saddle with some slugs, cheap light. Lives under my mattress. Can grab the bandolier if it turns out I also need to clear the immediate area outside around the abode of small zed or Section 8 offensive. ;) - OS
  18.   Well, now if we're going to debate fantasy physiology, regardless of Mel's boy's rules, if zeds like to walk into fires, they presumably don't run right back out of it when they are burned from it either, so flesh would be consumed, I would assume to the point of often having no more tendons, ligaments, and muscle to actually further ambulate. And also logically would surely destroy the brain once sufficient internal heat is reached.    Unless you posit they they can actually burn without flesh being consumed ... which I suppose one could, since they don't decompose either. :)   - OS
  19. Nothing will likely prove to be worse than what's already currently done to the majority of food the average Mericun consumes.   - OS
  20. Pic I stole of some other cantankerous and rebellious old fart who I figgered would have noticed and threatened me by now.  Combines two of my lifelong favs, guns and booze, though sadly only the guns are used for a good many years now.   - OS
  21.   After suggesting that the link was somebody's saved shopping cart way back on first page, I ducked out as the thread careened wildly. Thanks for explaining how some people were actually able to get some actual ammo from it though, as I didn't grok how that could actually happen.   Even though that could prove to be your only post (I hope not), this old fart night owl quite enjoyed it, well done.   - OS   (off to fix some oatmeal and check schedule for Murder, She Wrote reruns) :) :)
  22.   What possible motive would anyone have for zapping a commercial airliner with a SAM without even publicizing it?   - OS
  23. First I've heard of it too:   "SB 1774   Tennessee Senate Bill Firearms and Ammunition - As introduced, creates an exception to the offense of carrying a firearm in public without a handgun carry permit that the person is not otherwise prohibited from carrying a firearm and is carrying the firearm in a privately-owned motor vehicle. - Amends TCA Title 39, Chapter 17, Part 13."   - OS
  24.   Ah, then that's clear to me finally, thanks!   - OS
  25.   Oh, I got impression e-file was only via an FFL, that individuals couldn't do it, was reason I even posted.   - OS
