  1.   You have only to read this and other forums over time to verify that.   - OS
  2.   The state authorizes that under 39-17-1359, so don't see how this bill would change it either.   - OS
  3.   ?? It's about their muzzle brake being classified as a suppressor, not SBR/SBS.   - OS
  4.   All about that heater at:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/75662-evolution-of-my-firearm/   - OS
  5.   Sounds to me like the R51 pistol may be next. If so, they'd do well to do it sooner than later seems to moi.   - OS
  6.   Reckon there's 66 votes to bring it up?   - OS
  7.   Don't see how.  Would only remove the grandfathered date of April 8, 1986 for local firearm laws as far as I can see, or of course any future ones (which is already the case).   Local park carry prohibition is still specifically granted by the state in 39-17-1311.   Seems though would force Knoxville, for example, to officially opt out of 1311 and put up signage instead of relying on old ordinance. Which is good and bad, depending.   - OS
  8.   All done in 1934 because of gangland violence during the Prohibition Era. Once again, many thanks to Chicago for leading the way.   - OS
  9.   Isn't private posted property there just treated as a possible trespassing charge if you violate it and refuse to leave if asked?  If that's correct, that's quite different concept from the Class B 'meanor in TN specifically for ignoring a sign.   - OS
  10. Thought about it off an on since SignalMtn posted, and I've now come to a definite conclusion -- I don't know.   But y'all may well be right, possibly dissuade more than persuade, not to mention perhaps poking the bear too.   Suggestion officially retracted. ;)   - OS
  11. Add a reference to and include some pix of firearms like this one, which are legal without tax stamp, and do exactly the same thing as an SBR, as example of how silly the law is. Visual aids might prove helpful, especially to idiot CongressCritters. - OS
  12.   Well, all conventional delta ring configs would block it.   - OS
  13.   Anybody can have a bad day there, doesn't take much to get out of sync with that course.   Irony is, if the greens were flat, I bet I could bust 100 there even now, and from the back tees too. BUT, those greens being what they are, you could spot me all the greens in regulation with random drops and I'd probably still be around 18 over, as it would be rare for me to two putt any of them unless the drop was pert close! They have to been seen up close and personal to really appreciate their difficulty.       Nope, he didn't even make the cut.   - OS
  14.   Back surgery less than two weeks ago, micro-discectomy.   - OS
  15. Couples, amazing again, hanging around at two under.   - OS
  16.     Ticket overview from Wiki, I was mostly right:   "Although tickets for the Masters are not expensive, they are very difficult to come by. Even the practice rounds can be difficult to get into. Applications for practice round tickets have to be made nearly a year in advance and the successful applicants are chosen by random ballot. Tickets to the actual tournament are sold only to members of a patrons list, which is closed. A waiting list for the patrons list was opened in 1972 and closed in 1978. It was reopened in 2000 and subsequently closed once again. In 2008, The Masters also began allowing children (between the ages of 8 and 16) to enter on tournament days free if they are accompanied by the patron who is the owner of his or her badge.[103]   The Masters website announced that a limited supply of tickets for the 2012 tournament would be awarded to the general public for both practice days and competition rounds."   - OS
  17.   Unless something has changed since last time I knew, for all practical purposes,  there really aren't any ticket sales for the actual tourney. Ticket holders are able to keep them year after year, although I think a few get scalped for beau coup. Not even sure what happens when a ticket holder dies, have heard they can actually be willed like other property.   I only got to go because my bro in law at the time was living in ritzy section of Atlanta, and had older neighbor couple that had a pair who weren't going that day. Gave 'em to him for nada, he called me on Sat. evening, and I was down there before dawn!   Most folks have only ever been to one of the practice round days and/or the par 3 tourney. Those tickets are open to anyone but on some kind of lottery type deal or something best I remember.   - OS
  18.   Yeah, I actually got to go on Sunday in '91 when Woosie won it. Breathtaking course and spectacle and incredible history.   - OS
  19.   When would you not be doing one or the other? Of course you can't walk around outside the vehicle with one on school property.   You mean you're worried about having it in the car before you actually get to a parking lot or to the place you're gonna stop and pickup/drop off?  That seems a bit overwrought to me. After all, you're more than likely on city streets going through a campus anyway, just like any other thoroughfares.   Matter of fact, I walk packing amid "school property" on public city sidewalks frequently, and am not really worried about it.   - OS
  20.   I thought Billy Bob played him well in the 2004 version, may not have actually resembled him, but looked plenty rough enough.   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwTl_yMM8d4   - OS
  21. Yep, have special love of the Masters, generally try to watch it all four days. Wish Bubba's round had been televised so could have watched it all.   - OS
  22.   That is a separate bill, handgun permit not required. Looks like the citizenry is deemed not responsible enough to handle such a freedom as that.   But you suggested it is unlawful for a passenger to have his gun in the vehicle on school grounds, and I don't see where that's the case in fact, unless on his person without a permit.   - OS
  23.   The permit holder in control of the car is authorized to store firearms in the vehicle. It doesn't say he has to own the firearms. Applies to schools same as any other parking area.   Not to mention the defense of picking up/dropping off at schools.   - OS
  24.   UPS Sure Post, but ammo doesn't get sent that way, it's UPS or Fedex ground all the way.   - OS
  25.   I remember looking into this when I was kid and just refreshed memory online -- In fairness to Jules Verne it's supposed to be the distance the Nautilus traveled under the sea, and not the depth. Which makes sense as a French metrical league when he wrote it was 4km, so that would be almost 50,000 miles!   And yep, I had a coonskin hat back then, too!   - OS
