  1.   That's a point that most all the folks arguing for "employer rights" or "property rights" are missing regarding this issue.   The inside of your vehicle is treated same as the inside of your home in regards to deadly force, and now that seems we will have legalized non-permit firearm possession in it same as your home, the actual means to achieve it too.   Your employer does not have to allow your vehicle on his property, but he chooses to, he has no more rights regarding it than anyone else.   The issue of being fired for having a firearm in vehicle is really another issue, more dealing with TN labor law than anything else. Not sure what the future of all that is, but feel sure that the first person to be expelled or terminated from a state supported institution for legal storage of a firearm in his vehicle will get at least that part changed in a hurry.   - OS
  2.   Cheapest one I've  seen with shipping in a couple months of looking, beats Bud's by 19 bucks, actually by $34.75 using instant plastic!   Not that I'm trying to tempt ya. ;)   - OS
  3. WASR AK there ready to shoot, 506 clams shipped:   http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/century-arms-wasr10-ri1188.html
  4. PSA has WASR for $506 shipped:   http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/century-arms-wasr10-ri1188.html   - OS
  5.   :) :) I'll take the left-handed compliment, but I assure you there's plenty I don't know.   Here's just one I've been meaning to run by ATF: does a "non-firearm" receiver (such as 80% AR lower or AK flat/blank) suffice for non-culpability in a collection of parts regarding the "possessive construction" thang?   - OS
  6.   No reports of any probs with them from rapid fire, but can't say I've seen feedback from anyone with full auto. Apparently they work pretty well, perhaps not as well as some higher priced ones, couldn't say, no hands on myself.   For 35 clams I thought about getting one myself, but then again, I really don't want to add about 2.5" to length. But certainly, KAK has hot hand right now, zoomed to prominence with their SB15 optimized buffer tubes and whatnot.   - OS
  7.   Yep, UPS Mail Innovations  and FedEx SmartPost -- cheaper and slower.   - OS
  8.   Kroger pulled out of Nooga many years ago rather than accede to union demands, though that was possibly just the last straw among other reasons, not sure -- sold everything  to Red Food, which sold to Bi-Lo soon after.  Don't know what the story is on Food City there, but it's overall the highest here in Knox.   - OS
  9.   You missed your calling as a government economist.   - OS
  10. Nah, long as it's not a scout scope way forward and just using standard high mounts which will clear most folded BUIS and also allow still a good cheek weld, due to refraction/light gathering, depth of field, and whatnot optical properties, you don't even know FSB is there at 4x and more, just barely can pick up slight ghosting of it at 3x if even then, depending on lighting angles. Both of these setups work just fine with 3-9 scopes and A2 FSB. QD is nice in case you need to get to the BUIS quickly. The PEPR style is particular nice. - OS
  11.   Sometime in early/mid '60's, the Playboy mag college fun rankings had an asterisk in the drinking category for UTK.  Below, the asterisk was " professionals not ranked with amateurs in this category" :)   - OS
  12. Good many folks on Arfcom pistol forum like the KAK "Flash Can". Low cost and seems to throw the sound downrange quite well and reduce the fireball significantly according to reports   Two versions, regular and slim:   http://www.kakindustry.com/kak-industry-flash-can-m14x1-0lh     http://www.kakindustry.com/ar-15-parts/kak-industry-slim-flash-can     - OS
  13.   Surely won't do anything but help JJ in election a bit though.   - OS
  14. Just can't have a good street party in Fort Sanders anymore like the old days, I guess.   60 cops involved, wow. And 800 kids? Must admit, that's something. 'Course we didn't have the Phone Mob capability back then. :)   - OS
  15.   Would assume that messing with throat enters realm of deadly force. I know you see "choke holds" or used to, but I can't hardly believe they are on anyone's "approved" force continuum for mere restraint or perhaps even in incapacitation unless officer were in real danger?   Reasoning being, could be lethal not just from strangulation itself but possibility of damaged larynx. Anything above collarbone is also no go area for anything but possible lethal hits with baton too in all the charts I've seen.   Could certainly be wrong, of course.   - OS
  16.   Yeah, I believe it does. ATF's thuggery rep aside,  they generally get their ducks in a row evidence wise first. And certainly, zero evidence of selling without a license can be present until you actually, you know,  sell.   Locals are much more likely to abuse things -- hell, they could try "creating public disturbance" or something I guess when they're pissed.     - OS
  17.   18 USC/921-922 only addresses the standard for selling without a license -- buying any quantity without a license is not unlawful, but yeah, I guess they could always try to put a NFA firearm in your hand, and I suppose x number would fall for it.   - OS
  18.   Be quite surprised if an agent is even there. If they were, 'bout all they could do is set up sting operation against the sellers by posing as buyers and saying they were from out of state or couldn't legally buy from FFL and the like.   - OS
  19.   I don't necessarily doubt it was said.   - OS
  20.   Any answer from Tanker will be via ESP. ;)

  22.   Back door is quickest way in for the Maverick line parts, don't have to fool with US regs on the Mexican trucking companies or change to US ones to haul through the states.   - OS
  23.   Idea of having to refit it or use proprietary mags is not an attractive one to me, though.     - OS
  24. Seems to be "perk" more than drip to me. Just looked at demo of it on YT, don't really see significant diff tween "vacuum/siphon" and percolator as long as you remove grounds when done from the percolator. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q00RyGA3iHU - OS
  25.   Well, yes and no. If it didn't get out of Kali, then it's not relevant past Kali.   I don't think you'll find any similar absurd cases in TN. But admittedly there are settlements for suits all the time we're not generally privy to that never make it to court.   - OS
