URGENT - Permit-less Car Carry in the Senate Tomorrow
Oh Shoot replied to wk05's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I see it as the greatest advance since possessing a loaded firearm became illegal in the first place. Unlike the HCP it's a nod to actual constitutional carry -- even though it's still once removed from carry on the person it's the first actual universal carry freedom in public of any kind since 1870. - OS -
TN Candidates & the TFA questionnaire results
Oh Shoot replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Point is, no way to know if she sent it back or not. If you look at the questions -- 19-26 aren't even about firearms -- it's pretty unlikely that very many would actually be "no" all the way across the board. I think it's safe to say that most if not all of the ones that are all red did not respond at all, and there's no way to know the reason. - OS -
Was are the actual details required for the "price matching"? And is that on everything, just firearms, or what? - OS

TN Candidates & the TFA questionnaire results
Oh Shoot replied to Sam1's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
TFA really should have distinguished between "no response" and "no". Seems pretty obviously that the majority of legislators simply didn't send back survey at all, maybe never even saw it depending on aides handling the mail or whatever. - OS -
Something peaked my curiosity at the mall today
Oh Shoot replied to CQB Elite's topic in General Chat
Well, the whole program is basically run under Marshal Law ain't it? ;) - OS -
Well, the upside is that I don't have to watch any more soccer. Whew. - OS

I see that type of "irony" as of course only one of the many valid intellectual reasons to reject the heaven/hell nonsense of Christianity altogether. The Islamic view on heaven/hell relies more on one's earthly track record, and I understand how many who need a supernatural view of life can see that as more logically compelling. - OS

Gotcha. Thanks both for explanation. - OS

Thanks for that, but now one more question. The description on Primary Arms site says "YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE ONE OF THE AR RISERS IN THE DROP DOWN MENU FOR MOUNTING ON ANY AR PLATFORM RIFLE " I understand you need the riser to get to a co-witness position, but couldn't it also be used just as shown with the low mount if you didn't have a front sight or whatever? I mean, why is the one shown even on there? - OS

Been thinking about an AR pistol or maybe SBR? Probably never gonna beat this at PSA with 10.5" FN barrel: $279 http://palmettostatearmory.com/index.php/ar-15-05/barreled-upper-assemblies/psa-10-5-hammer-forged-upper-2012-2.html - OS

Question: "removable base" and "fits any industry standard Micro Mount" So the weaver/picatinny base shown on the bottom of this is what's called "Micro Mount" and is removable? If so, couldn't you add any standard rail riser to it as shown without swapping out the existing base? - OS

To assert that, you have to deny the terms of salvation in Christianity; ie, you are not saved (or condemned) by works, but by belief. "Today shalt thou be with me in paradise", "all sin and blasphemy can be forgiven", "whosoever believeth...", etc. - OS

TN Bill 1774 -- Lawful carry in vehicle without permit
Oh Shoot replied to RoDan's topic in Handgun Carry and Self Defense
Yes. That whole section is deleted and replaced. http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/79761-metro-pd-encounter/page-3#entry1163359 - OS -
That's quite the minority view overall among Christian denominations if any officially claim it at all -- even Catholicism, where it originated, no longer takes a hard line on it. - OS

Yup, quite the loophole, maybe Adolf is there too. - OS

Unless you specifically need to take donations that are tax free for the donor, other types of non-profit incorporation will likely be more beneficial to you. That's why many of the most successful and influential non-profits are not ( c )(3) status, like the NRA and AARP - OS

Best part of Catholicism IMO ... just hit the confessional once in a while and carry on. ;) - OS

Though we have heard the possible reason he actually did, nonetheless he did indeed vote against Manchin-Toomey also, so his record is still the same as it was. - OS

Something big is getting ready to kick off

Hijack continued -- it is illegal to transport/relocate any wild animal. - OS -
Oh, btw, as far as your original question regarding HCP. I don't know exact legal answer, but if I were in that situation I guess I wouldn't really worry about it. I mean, you haven't really changed your residence, you're just in training out of state. But anyway, worst that could happen would be you'd get notified by TNDOS if the DL change comes around on the database guitar or something, at which point hopefully you can simply explain it, and you might already have swapped the CDL to TN one anyway by then. I'd be surprised if TNDOS wouldn't just say "okay, you're still good". Not anything you can do about it in the meantime anyway, seems. - OS

There are Muslims who eat pork and drink booze too, Catholics who get abortions, Baptist preachers who screw their sisters in law. It would be tough not to eat anything at all during daylight for a month, though. - OS

Some of dem Christians can be pretty crass alright -- dunno why the Jews never get included in the pork frivolity, though. ;) - OS

The NRA is a one issue organization, and consequently have zero reason to diss Bob or Lamar. Last I noticed the NRA took no public stand on term limits. - OS

A watch is something where I know exactly what I want, and am willing to pay top dollar for it! White on black for contrast, analog display with second hand, large enough to read easily without reading glasses, and manual light up dial. The Timex Indiglo T280719J, 32 clams. :) - OS

Don't see why. They voted against the only anti-gun legislation that arose in whole Obama admin. - OS
