That option disappeared with change to IP Board for me, yet you still have it somewhere in your settings? I used to have it set to max number under the old vBulletin, but see nowhere to change it from he default 20 now? - OS

Law is neutral on the matter, but clearly states that Glocks suck carried with either method. :hiding: - OS

Federally indicted man loses guns and ammo
Oh Shoot replied to Hershmeister's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
you have to edit to space ( c ) and ( b ) or you get the (c) and B) symbols on this forum, or you can disable emoticons in post, but they show back up in quotes unless the followup poster does too. Very irritating especially when pasting statutes. Thanks for that reference Chip, I put it in my "legal reference section". Here's direct link: http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/3142 C,1,B,viii is the specific part about firearms. - OS -
Is there something about the SKS that is more prone to do this? Meaning, AR and AK platform also have floating firing pin arrangement, so it's obviously not much of an issue with the millions of them out there. - OS

How cool is this...another bumpfire option

As the guy admits, here is a crude easy DIY method. I'd be concerned this would screw up grip nut threads in receiver with use though. That would be a bummer on models like the M92 where it's welded into receiver, not a separate loose replaceable part like on some AKs. Might give you some more ideas though, Dolo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tN9Wz_3KoJ4 - OS -

Looks like the guy is going to market them himself, one of his comments is: "... to avoid patten infringment I cannot sell any of these until August of 2014" - OS -
Federally indicted man loses guns and ammo
Oh Shoot replied to Hershmeister's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Yup. Doesn't answer my question. I know it's not in 18 USC 922, thought maybe was in some section I'm not familiar with. And of course 4473 is not all based on actual US Code anyway. Question 11a isn't backed up by federal law at all, as pointed out by Scalia in a dissenting opinion recently. It's an ATF made-up rule. - OS -

Not sure under what legal basis the federal judge pulled his guns -- not familiar with whatever part of federal code allows that. Anyone else? Perhaps he was enforcing a provision under Kali law at same time? - OS -

You must mean "afford" rather than "find". 7.62x39 is everywhere online for about .22-.23/round, .28-.30/round at Wally and Academy and etc. - OS -
They don't find out about all the armed people who don't have permits, though, so that's rather moot at this point I think. - OS

There was never any requirement to inform even before the new law. - OS

Highly debatable. Non-chrome lined will tend toward more accuracy, and likely same throat/barrel life if you don't do constant mag dumps and actually clean it once in a while. - OS

If you have the Xfinity branded Arris modem/router/phone, not sure you'll be able to use it with a separate router, quite limited config options inside user interface,. couldn't even turn WiFI off for example. I tried to swap mine for another identical one to narrow down some probs I was having, turns out they had a shortage of them, but they gave me a Ubee that is modem/phone only, which was fine with me, as had Linksys router in reserve anyway. - OS

Youse guys are always quite the hoot! Yeah, just a bit North, like 3 x 22! Could be they were worried I was gonna drop dead in their store any minute, I guess, so gave me extra attention. ;) Thing is, I look fairly rough out on these treks, crumpled shorts/shirt, half the time couple days beard, backpack, plus all sweaty in the summer. Was taken for a street person by a cop the time I found the stiff and reported it, for example. All the more amazing how nice they're trained to be there at the new Wally, seems to me. Lordie, I don't range that far, and my base is near West High. I've got about a 5 mile radius, 10 mile round trip cap. This was just one of my YMCA treks, 8 mile round trip, generally do that couple times a week plus a few more miles on closer errands here and there. 3.5 mph on way there / 2.9 mph on way back. :) "Wizened codger" is accurate enough, but still ambulatory, knock on wood. I have two quite understanding ex-wives, no worry there. :dirty: And actually, the Y is one of the better places to ogle the female form, quite the head start what with the minimal clothing thing. :stunned: - OS

Theft (or larceny). Robbery is theft from a person. Even though people may be present, stealing from a store is not theft from the person. Burglary is theft via unlawful entry. - OS

With a carry permit, it is. I was actually on foot in narrative above, though it doesn't matter in this case, was never on UT property. Closest I came to it, less than a foot away, was sidewalk on some city streets which border it. - OS

Ethernet cable is pretty much lossless up to 100 meters. - OS

Well, had my heater in my pocket anyway. And though the store is not on UT property, the streets and their accompanying sidewalks on UT campus are public city owned thoroughfares, not UT property. - OS

So here in Knoxville, we've got a new Wally right next to UT campus, part of the "University Commons", only been open a week or so. Rather unique layout, the way they had to design it to fit in limited area next to 3rd creek, most of the parking is enclosed garage beneath it and from front you have to go UP to the store via stairs or escalator. Also going to be a Publix as the other anchor store, which seems strange to me that they'd come in there, what with the Wally having a supermarket too. But the absolute amazing part was that I was actually asked by employees if they could help me find anything four times before I even made my meandering way back to sporting goods! I was stunned. Sporting goods section about as extensive as any, no guns of course, but did have ammo case, and it was about as well stocked as most of them. Even had the deadly assault weapon calibers. So I decided to grab a 100 pack of .38 Special. Two youngsters there, guy and gal, neither had key. They apologized and the gal ran off to find the key person, came back pretty quick with key, apologized again, and consummated sale. Then on way out, I run into the guy who had been there before, and he asked if I had gotten the ammo okay. Wow. - OS

Depends, I'd say. If it were just a BCG sort separately, I doubt if they look at any of them individually. Same with other manufacturer brands they sell and also the PTAC, they just pass them along, no assembly required. Now, if it were part of of a build PSA does that included BCG, of course they should notice it. They also test fire those. - OS
