  1.   I've found that the infinitywifi has evolved now, you only see one, the one with the strongest signal. You can actually watch it change from one base to another like if you whack your own an turn it back on.   I live in apt complex, and when they first cranked it up, I could see 3 or 4 at same time, then it changed.   - OS
  2.   Or from another country. The Middle and South West is becoming blue at alarming rate, and of course the far west already is. Once Texas turns, that's it for the presidency, no more Republicans, and likely Senators and most Reps from there too.   - OS
  3. Absolutely worth it, unless you're actually gonna use it on your arm. Use KAK tube or similar to get longer LOP and a more vertical grip like Magpul K2 or MOE K2 grip, really improves ergonomics for a shorter LOP, much like on an AK. There's a new model now too: https://www.sigsauer.com/SigStore/sbx-pistol-stabilizing-brace-686.aspx - OS
  4. Well, just use 7.5" then ... better fireball! - OS
  5. Cause ya got it from yer toilet seat: - OS
  6.   What's the ugliest Part of your body? What's the ugliest Part of your body? Some say your nose Some say your toes (I think it's your mind) But I think it's YOUR MIND (Your mind) I think it's your mind, woo woo                                                    - Frank Zappa   - OS
  7. I don't forgive her for that, but by the same token these have enriched my life, among others: They Shoot Horses, Don't They? Klute Cat Ballou Julia Coming Home The China Syndrome The Morning After On Golden Pond The Electric Horseman Agnes of God and of course, the pinnacle of art since the golden age of Greek drama: - OS
  8.   Better get busy vetting the stars, producers, directors, and perhaps sponsors of everything you might think you want to watch ... and then you can free up a lot of time, 'cause there won't be any that will likely pass muster!   Seriously, the art and the artist are almost always separate entities. Then there's folks like Michael Moore, though.   - OS
  9. Already "updated" on Wiki, in the already pointed "criticism section"   "Charter Communications is known for its notorious connection stability issues. One of the latest example of which is its DNS server outage on August 23rd though August 24th of 2014. During which time, many customers also experienced busy signals when calling Charter's call center either to report the outage or to ascertain the expected return-to-service time. [62] Many customers have also been frustrated by Charter's unwillingness to communicate with them on social media, with the corporate communications twitter account opting instead to post about sponsored giveaways."   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charter_Communications#Criticism   - OS
  10. I have always been able to separate the art from the artist. If you can't, it's your loss, not the artist's.   And yeah, that even includes Jane Fonda.   - OS
  11. Do these higher end versions actually lock up tightly side to side?   I've admittedly only handled cheapo OTFs, which of course had ridiculous side to side play, but seems like the inherent design itself would pretty much forestall really rigid lockup?   - OS
  12.   Only LCR and some single action models, I believe.   - OS

Never found SSS to do a damn thing with skeeters. Matter of fact, on anything, except the no-see-ums in lower FL and the Keys, for which it is of course de rigueur.   - OS
  14.   I have both. Love 'em both.   The Sub is of course much more compact and light weight, even unfolded. And you can't get around the fact that you can get reliable 15 to 30+ round factory hicap mags for at least the Glock and Beretta versions of the Sub.  Also, the Hi-Point mags are the Achilles Heel for all Hi-Point firearms period,  and the only alternative with the 995 rifle are the 15 round ProMags, best of luck with them.   On the plus side for Hi-Point, Beemiller will fix any of their shootin irons forever, while KelTec only will do it for first time owners anymore. Also easier/cheaper to tacticool up the HP model with the Tac stock.     - OS
  15. Last post middle of June. I posted in Benefactor's about a month ago asking, also sent him PM, nada.   See he supposedly logged on once about a month ago, but that's all, might now have even been him, whatever.   Anybody in touch, hope he's okay?   - OS

Guess the gummit will be fretting about the coming Ice Age like was often reported back in the 60's now. As long as it's now "climate change" instead of "global warming"  can still be used to throw money around.   - OS

Dogs are still chasing cats here, but they're all walking.   - OS
  18.   That is correct. If you haven't noticed, there are thousands of state firearm laws that are stricter than federal ones.   And very few have ever been overturned. State laws simply can't be more lax than federal ones, but stricter for the most part has been fine.   - OS
  19.   Again "suggest you put payment info into the first post, had to look through half the thread to find it".   Might make the diff with any folks entering thread for first time.   - OS
  20.   Yup. Laws regarding private transfer same for any firearm. And the contiguous state thing are laws enacted by a few states regarding purchase of long guns from FFL, not federal law.   - OS
  21.   Yeah, statute says only if "knowing or having reasonable cause to believe" it is stolen.   About the only way a sting can work on a buyer, like "hey I've got this great .357 heater, pretty sure it was stolen, so I can make you a great deal on it!"   - OS
  22.   My guess is that statute of limitations come into play. :)   - OS
  23.   Doesn't relate to what I wrote, but:   No difference between sale and gift, both are "transfers".   Interstate inheritance is an exception, requires no FFL interaction, otherwise yes, gun would need to be transferred via a TN FFL to a TN resident. The law is not specific (at least 18 USC 922 isn't) about exactly what constitutes an inheritance, except that it does not have to be in a will, can be intestate.   However, no federal law forbids a TN resident from acquiring a gun in private transaction in GA, it only becomes a violation when the TN resident brings it back into or receives it the state, except for inheritance, loan, or rental.   - OS
  24. I had as usual an "ongoing" shopping cart on Zon, went ahead and grabbed one when I first saw original post, already came today. Since whole order was free if over 35 clams, no shipping at all.   I'm not a huge hot sauce fan, original Tabasco generally satisfies my usage, but will use these over time, except perhaps the full tilt boogie The Antidote one. I don't have much interest anymore in getting stuff so hot that it could be fried dog poop as far as my taste buds know and I need a towel to mop off the sweat.   So thanks for the original post, Sam, appreciate it.   - OS
  25.   Since the Dick's here doesn't sell anything gun related, I obviously don't even look there, but I did buy some 5.56 at one in 'Nooga  a year, year and a half  ago when it was still somewhat hard to get at a decent price.   Back when,  Dick's often had among the cheapest various handgun and .22LR ammo deals one could find at a brick and mortar.    But anyway, any place that sells guns and/or ammo at all goes on the plus side of the ledger for me.   - OS
