It wasn't catastrophic. Was takedown pin spring/detent channel, a crack started around pin hole and reached the channel and a chunk fell out. Crack started fairly early on, took about a year before the chunk fell out. You could see part of spring and detent. Still worked, and didn't seem to progress, but you know, bugged me and had no confidence that it wouldn't do worse too, so got ATI to replace it. They paid shipping both ways, BUT, even though they admitted they legally could, they wouldn't send it directly to me, but back through an FFL. Short take,by time was ready to deal with all that at FFL with another background check/transfer fee, was rather disgusted, had only bought the damn thing back during the panic cause nothing else affordable was around, so just sold it pert cheap for cash directly to the FFL without doing any TICS/paperwork. On second thought, was closer to 9 months ago I guess. Thing was, they had redesigned it by then and the replacement looked better, had metal thread inserts in the buffer tube channel and whatnot, but I was over it by that time and affordable metal lowers were everywhere again. Most of the time it is because of some charge in the past that doesn't show proper resolution paperwork in court system. And charge does not have to be a disqualifying one for TICS or NICS to hang things up, and I don't think you necessarily know which it was either.   Has it been 15 working days, like M-F?   - OS

Email is correct on account - I pop email so no spam folder, but checked ISP with web mail, not in spam folder there. Never a prob with anyone else, never been a prob with Midway.   But main problem -- no tracking or even shipper listed for the order onsite. Haven't ordered anything in some time from there, but did a couple days ago, thought it odd I didn't get email notification of the order.   But then, going to site, I see it has shipped, but didn't get notification of that either, and no tracking number showing on site for order either. I really do try to be around for shipments that I know are coming to the door, but can't if I don't have a clue. Matter of fact, I don't even know how this is being sent, let alone when to expect it. This is the "standard" shipping option.   I mean, when I send a $2 First Class parcel, it includes tracking for c'sake. This part of Larry's "Nitro Express Shipping" reform, jeez.   - OS
