  1.   Can't quote a law that doesn't exist.  Legal behavior is seldom mentioned in laws, unless it helps clarify the extent of the illegal behavior.     Like much of ATF's "faqs", an over-simplification if taken alone, but did you not read #11?   - OS
  2.   I must always respectfully beg to differ on that when you say it. Intent alone is not a factor, nor the time factor.  You can legally intend to resale a firearm at the same time you make it, or buy it.   The test is whether you are "in the business" of doing so. Intending to sell a firearm for non-livlihood and profit purposes, such as enhancing a collection, is perfectly legal.   See 18 USC § 921 - Definitions, regarding "in the business" and "principal objective of livelihood and profit"   Being "in the business" requires a license. Doing the same for other purposes does not. Same for selling, manufacturing, or gunsmithing.   - OS
  3.   Bzzzzt. There is no federal prohibition against selling or transferring homemade firearms, as long as you are not "in the business" of doing so -- rules the same as any other firearm. No serial number required either.   - OS
  4.   Dominance thing more than sexual. Female dogs will sometimes mount other dogs too, male or female.   - OS
  5. Strong side front pocket everyday for maybe 5 years now, Kahr PM9 and Stellar Rigs kydex. I'm really a leather holster guy for IWB/OWB, but thin Kydex can't be beat for pocket: - OS
  6. Ambient music master Brian Eno.   http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brian_Eno   - OS
  7.   Ordered night before that, shipped on 4th biz day, Thurs, received Sat (FedEx Home).   Ammo box was new issue from M855 ball.   - OS
  8.   Or blow holes in the boards with shotguns.
  9. Well, I was right about Eugene being a fraud, but didn't think it would come out this early.   - OS
  10. Yeah, but it's a slide show can't seem to turn off, can go to "view album" though. Anyway, here they are imbedded in post. Very interesting looking config, for sure. What are the exact advantages of such? - OS
  11. I just make 'em, use as two point or one point by hooking one clip in the other. - OS
  12. In my youth I lived out of a tiny GMC cracker box cab over for about 15 months. I was a mover though, so always had space to keep brunt of my stuff in trailer. Sleeping right over the engine. Once went 48 days in the winter without ever cutting the engine off, too cold to be sure could get it restarted. Some of the best zzzs I ever got, laying over that deep rumbling vibration each night, was like being back in a living womb. :) - OS
  13. I see no death knell. As long as you can make even 10% on something bought at retail pricing,  people will continue to do it. Hell, if I could go to Sams and buy printer carts or whatever and turn them over for 10% profit, I'd keep their shelves bare too. Matter of fact, I did exactly that sort of thing back when etail was still in its infancy. I found that people on eBay would pay that 10% or more plus the shipping for the convenience of having stuff mailed to them.   Plus remember, these guys are mostly retired or make a non 9 to 5 type living, it's not like they even figure in their time to score the stuff.   - OS
  14.   Yeah, for whatever reason most knives get posted in the Gear section, but it's never caused a fuss.   - OS
  15.   Yeah, there is that little detail. But I already had it anyway. :) :)   Seems it's scarce again right now, and folks asking high price for them, but will probably be another flood of them, same thing happened about 6 months ago. After being 7-8 bills when they were first released, hit a low of $299 about a year ago, then started creeping upward again, caught mine in the middle for $460 in hand back in June.   The 3 Draco models come and go too. There's little doubt the SIG brace has created unprecedented demand on both AR and AK pistol market.   - OS
  16.   Both WASRs are young, neither had even 500 rounds through them when tried. They both like Romanian and Yugo w/ BHO surplus, Tapco 20/30 rounders, even a stray ProMag I got somewhere. Both hated the Korean 20 rounders.   Not a biggie to me, I just like 20 round mags and the Korean were the only steel 20's I could find. Not gonna pay 30 clams plus for Hungarian tanker ones.   - OS
  17.   Around 3 bills:   US Machine gun buffer tube/folding adapter combo: 100 Buffer tube of your choice, the KAK super is 42, the spacer kit is 12 Sig brace of your choice, the SBX is 125-150, the SB-15 can be scored for about 110 castle nut endplate sling adapter if you want to use one.   - OS
  18. Youse whippersnappers are quite the hoot, by cracky.   - OS
  19.   I do believe you've been fubar-ed well enough to post in their industry forum on Arfcom now:   http://www.ar15.com/forums/f_2/301_Palmetto_State_Armory.html   I guess try the "where's my order" thread, if that doesn't get response, start a new one.   - OS
  20.   Maybe, but ole Phil will be old Phil by then, already almost 71.   - OS
  21.   Oh, you can be pretty sure that's the plan, and Big Jim (his dad) has been lubing the track since Bill's first mayoral run.     I never really got over the McKinley assassination.   - OS
  22.   Good for looking that up. Seems unlike city/county referendums, we can't do statutory ones on a state level then.   - OS
  23.   I don't know the process for a binding state referendum in TN, and the legislature's role beforehand, if any -- you?   - OS
  24. Methinks your last comment in the TN section needs the addition in bold.   "Note: The law won't allow those without carry permits to keep their loaded firearms in a vehicle where parking lots are posted with no gun signs or while parked on any school property." . best,   - OS
  25. Larry Gatlin is something else, still serviceable set of tenor pipes at 66. He's really a conservative guy for all seasons too, playing it rather straight on FOX mainstream shows and has also fit right in and been quite the hoot on RedEye appearances.   - OS
