  1.   Duh, that's what I had meant to post, bad brain to fingers synapse.   - OS
  2. Now $259 at PSA. Couldn't resist that myself. With shipping, transfer/TICS, that's $302 in hand.   - OS
  3. The Italian Beretta 92s police trade in they've been selling here and there for $299 is now $269 $259 at PSA.   - OS
  4.   They screw up now and then and get something out immediately. :)   - OS
  5. Cool. I'm sure the complaints were about significantly more difference than that. Also, I believe these were complete Radical pistols (not sure about rifles) sold through Primary Arms. The guy from Primary posted in thread saying he'd see about it with Radical; was all maybe 3 weeks ago now. - OS
  6.   Mostly aesthetics, though some folks might want to put a scout scope or something bridging both sections, so same height important for that.   If the handguard rail is way lower than the receiver one, certain some front iron sights wouldn't be able to compensate to get elevation sighted in.   - OS
  7. Is the handguard rail exactly same height as the receiver rail, or about 1/16 to 1/8 " lower?   That was the only minor complaint I've read about some of them.   Wouldn't matter in practical sense unless you tried to bridge the two with something, which is never a great idea in first place I'd think.   - OS
  8.   Just sayin', a number of possible causes for that. You verify with another bolt?   - OS
  9. Most of the gun store members who post here are in middle TN. You wanna drive all the way to Knoxville, my fav place is 25 clams including the TICS.   If you just want FFL prices in your area, you should say that I reckon.   - OS
  10.   Carbine will be a killng dem Zeds bout as long as a midlength will. ;)   - OS
  11. Surely it doesn't matter whether the gun is concealed or not to all you law abiding citizens, it's either lawful or it's not, eh? ;)   - OS
  12. I like it fine, but do note that it will not quite reach the retaining flange on either of the KAK SB-5 designed tubes as the SB-15 brace does, leaves about half inch gap. I used the short KAK spacer to make up the diff (actually adds a bit of offset too). But I did indeed want the extra 1.5" or so of the OAL of the tube. The gap doesn't matter as far as functionality, just thought it would look odd myself. - OS
  13.   Well, technically, if whole NFA were abolished, TCA 39-17-1302 would have to be changed for them to be legal in TN. Probably not a problem, I guess.   - OS
  14.   Nothing super I know about yet. Best I've seen is 119.99 + 11.05 shipping:   http://www.osagecountyguns.com/sig-sbx-stabilizing-brace.html   However, they're selling it on eBay for 130.32 shipped, just a bit cheaper, go figger. And it's also a "or best offer" listing, so guessing you might can get another Abe off that maybe.   http://www.ebay.com/itm/SBX-BRACE-BLK-SIG-SAUER-SIGTAC-SBX-Pistol-Stabilizing-Brace-NIB-FREE-SHIPPING-/191386448857?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2c8f8573d9   My guess is it will stay at around that for a while until sales slow down. That same outfit was selling the SB-15 on eBay for 110 shipped for a while.   There are six listings on eBay cheaper than the $150 I paid, as I grabbed first one I could when only SIG had them for sale, not knowing what the availability was gonna be.   - OS
  15.   Every one I've ever been to does it in middle after all the other singin and stuff is done, during choir's offertory selection, right before the sermon.   - OS
  16. They make these for a reason: I admit that my .30-30 is wearing a scope currently, but not my .357. - OS
  17.   Same story from weeks ago that's been discussed here. No coverup, she still has not been charged.   If she ever is, I assure you MM will be all over it.   - OS
  18.   My opinion is, it wasn't properly tightened!   Actually, maybe I'll go ahead and stake them all at some point. There was so much rearrangement of endplates/tubes there for a while I hated to do it.   - OS
  19.   The odds of launching something are fairly high, even after doing several. Since as Dolo says, they sometimes enter another dimension in mid air, covering grates and the like may not help. ;)   Though I can do it with paper clip now, note the razor knife trick with front pivot pin, works a treat.   - OS
  20.   Still, "good enough" for moi to keep watching. And you too, I 'spect. ;)   - OS
  21.   To stick up for the low end side of piecing together lowers:   I've done five with no vice and nothing more than small hammer and needlenose pliers to start the two roll pins on a standard lower, and plain ole flat punch to finish them off. Last one was a billet lower no roll pins at all. :)   Only special tool really needed is castle nut wrench, a basic one is 5 clams (if you didn't care how castle nut looked after, you could use a pipe wrench!)  And no, I don't stake them, though some will swear that'll get me killed in my first extended firefight. ;)   Biggest hint: anything with pin, spring/detente involved, work with all parts and hands inside a clear plastic bag!   I used this feller's walkthough the first time or two (sans the vice, but plus bag):   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA_Vkb2UB1w   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq4KfUaVp8M   - OS
  22.   If you're trying to be quiet, load road by riding bolt forward with charging handle until it stops. Lock charging handle in by holding catch open then letting go once in lock position. Push forward assist until bolt doesn't move any more forward to make sure it's locked it.   - OS
  23.   Solved it on a 10/22 with high tech dabs of clear nail polish around end of pin on each side.   - OS
  24.   Yeah, I think if you dig deeper, there's a stair-stacked timeline of what you can own when there. Like start with a shotgun, x years then can have .22 rifle, x years then can have a big bore rifle, x years to a handgun, all registered. ... something or other like that. Whatever, but I don't think it's in contention for the patron state of shootin stuff, unless the stuff is Germans. :)   - OS
  25.   Well, again, we'll just have to see. These seem like close enough to two diametrically opposed opinions that something may have to give with a revision or something, who knows. First opinion I've ever seen from this "sub division".   Again, I wonder if these guys actually consult or what, surely must be in same damn building.  Could be Earl Griffith has already handed Max's Acting Director ass to him for all we know.   - OS
