    Bus Wreck?

Happened at intersection of Asheville Hwy and John Sevier Hwy, both big ass roads.  Asheville Hwy is divided road there so doesn't seem like head on. Maybe one bus hit the other while it was turning into Asheville Hwy or something.   - OS
  2. I believe all "non sporting" or whatever imported rifles still have to be modified for 922 by the importer, so it's not just as factory released it as in the case of Zastava pistols.   At any rate, all the PAP rifles get quite good reviews over all, but can't remember the finer points regarding O and N models.   I seem to remember a longer thread about PAP rifles on here not too long ago, but this was only one I could find right off:   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/81953-should-i-get-pap-or-wasr/     - OS
  3.   Just sayin, I don't see how it's an orthopedic issue at all.   That is one nasty infection of some sort for sure. No idea of its history, but wondering if it may have started as a common sebaceous cyst and went septic?   - OS
  4.   Not to mention the "sense" of the Zed Apocalypse specifically.   - OS
  5. Revisiting this thread after a long time     My statement above is incorrect. "Any other implement for infliction of serious bodily injury or death that has no common lawful purpose." Is still in 39-17-1302, assuming Lexis got it right on the revision. I thought the final bill zapped that clause but apparently not.   - OS
  6. Never was illegal, unless by local law somewhere.   - OS
  7. Emily Kenny was in tears about it on TTD, very touching really. Though it may have been mostly over losing the gig and having to sell her condo and everything (he said crassly). ;)   Even Norman says he was crying on set that day.   - OS
  8.   My nose touches front of receiver using Garufa's on a M92, but doesn't seem to bother him (and I do have a relatively long nose I guess :)). You can however replace the buffer tube that's in it with a longer one.   Not sure if it works on Mini or Micro Draco or only on the regular one, though? Somebody else will have to answer that one.   Did a quick look around and seems it does work on both, but double check that yourself.   - OS
  9.   Yeah, I'd think of it as MTBF, likely get more but possibly less. Probably comes with a prorated warranty like batteries or tires, where you get less and less as it craps out closer to the 6 years, and of course only if you stay with same manufacturer for the next one.   - OS
  10. 7.62x39 doesn't take as big a hit proportionally as does 5.56 in a short barrel. You'll have to doll them up some if you want to do the brace thing. Dolo's mini Draco: My PAP 92 (10" barrel): - OS
  11.   Appreciate that Ray, entered into the ole (er, old)  database! Nice to know at least they're not as crooked as I feared.  :)   - OS
  12.       Well, that sounds authoritative ... I wonder it that might not be an issue if pressed with the Feds. Meaning, it's one thing that the Feds allow the states to be a middle man on the 4473 checks, but this is actually changing the federal rules for the form itself. And if single form, put multiple codes where form just asks for a single one?  Or if all on same 4473, what happens if first 4 guns are approved, but maybe second time around is not, or whatever?   But basically, you've got TBI making a decision to handle a federal form in way not mandated for the form, so the state can make more money per employee hour. Doing badly what need not be done at all is one thing, but his sounds outright crooked.   -
  13. Note they take estimated 8 weeks to build.   Don't think they have that exact config in stock, but Radical sells complete pistolas through Primary Arms too, 'bout same pricing, and ready to go:   http://www.primaryarms.com/Complete_AR_15_Pistols_s/6686.htm   The folks who have bought them on arfcom haven't dissed them at all, seem happy enough. If that buffer tube puts your schnoz right on the charging handle and ya don't like it, can always go to a longer one and/or with spacers.   Whatever you get, do yourself a favor and get a more upright pistol grip, huge improvement for a short LOP firearm. Your wrist, elbow, and shoulder will thank you.   - OS
  14.   I thought you were claiming it was a TICS thing, separate from federal regs for the 4473.   Yes, there are 5 blanks but you can do as many as you want, using separate page stapled to the 4473 (it's in the directions).   - OS
  15.   Well, though I value my time even as a retired geezer,  that's sorta like being paid $57 an hour to hang around, eh?   - OS
  16.   ??? Where you get that from TICS? Meaning, there is no limit for number of guns on a 4473. Why would TICS limit it to 3, it's still just a single check regardless of how many guns. And there's only place for a single approval on a 4473.   No saying it ain't so, and I've never bought but two at a time, but I've just never heard this before? Seems to me that TICS would have to be compliant to all terms called for by the 4473 itself?   - OS
  17.   Yeah, had to raise hell just to get them to remove a service charge from Mom's bill in Nooga that was prob on their side.   - OS
  18.   Only the business contracts have a minimum guaranteed speed.   You can fuss and get 'em out there for residential service, but YMMV on actual results.   - OS
  19. I certainly have preferences but like most everything and can certainly get down most anything any other culture can.   Pretty sure I'd not draw the line at cannibalism either under extreme circumstances as long as murder wasn't stocking the larder.   - OS
  20.   Had no idea they supplied our military, thanks.   - OS
  21.   I'll shoot it, generally goes bang reliably enough and doesn't seem to be wildly erratic with powder charge,  but it's the only round I've ever found that both my AR .22 and NEOS both don't like much at all, and even my 10/22's hiccup now and then with it. Really don't know why, it looks like exact same as say Blazer 40 gr leadheads, but something about it just has feeding probs.   Generally just relegate it to pump, bolt, and revolvers.   - OS
  22.   I wouldn't pay 35 for Tbolt myself.   - OS
  23. So now that Taiwan has gotten involved in ammo making, seems like they'd be a likely candidate to start some .22LR lines up?   - OS
  24.   It has about the same OAL as the brace slid all the way onto the KAK tube -- the Hex is shorter tube but offsets the brace. Offsetting the KAK tube gives more than the HEX.   - OS
  25.   I probably wouldn't have bit if I much cared what it looks like. And maybe these are the bottom of barrel cosmetically for all I know.   - OS
