  1.   Suggest you put this code on the initial page of the dead site and at least it will redirect to the active one:     Place the following HTML redirect code between the <HEAD> and </HEAD> tags of your HTML code.   <meta HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" content="0; url=http://www.tfaonline.org">   The above HTML redirect code will redirect your visitors to another web page instantly. The content="0; may be changed to the number of seconds you want the browser to wait before redirecting.   - OS
  2.   Yeah, have no idea why John is keeping that other domain hosted without at least a redirect on it.   - OS
  3.   Yeah, good store, my only criticism is that they have kept raising transfer fee, and surprised me with even higher one especially just for Bud's (though they did relent and charge me the regular rate at the time after I squawked some).   Just never understood gun stores not competing to do them though, as after all it's "free money" --  no stock to buy upfront, and since it doesn't take but 30 min to log a gun in and do 4473, even 15 clams translates to like $30 an hour for the "labor".   - OS

  5.   Ah yes, surely the White House will want to investigate for civil rights violation and hate crime too, eh?   - OS
  6.   Lower magnification is where it can show, not higher. All due to optical qualities of light gathering/refraction, minimum focus distance, and depth of field.   - OS
  7. Yeah, I gave up on them some good while ago after a surprise 50 clam transfer on a shipment from Bud's.   More of a drive for ya, but Harvey's Pistol and Pawn in Knoxville is aces, $15 transfers from anyone, and they are quite efficient and friendly.   - OS
  8.   Starting at about 2.5x,  no.   - OS
  9.   I dunno, sounds like he had just the attributes she was after, eh? ;)   - OS
  10.   Well, we have different opinions. Courts would decide and I'd say that taking state money would mean they have to abide by state law, simple as that.   - OS
  11.   Hasn't come up yet, but no way that would stand if tested IMHO. The courts would not let a state supported school punish someone for exactly adhering to state law.   - OS
  12.   If BHO had a son, he wouldn't be packing. And Al is anti-gun too. Course, their combined entourages carry more heat than a TGO shoot.   - OS
  13.   Even though I have two shootin irons with braces, I'm mostly hoping the ATF gets shot down on this one just to make the ongoing point about the absurdity of NFA in this day and age. As if criminals probably paid it much heed back in the 30's either, of course.   In the meantime in the real world, it remains just another compilation of toothless words on paper from a single mid level bureaucrat (in an acting position no less) -- unless and until ATF attempts to enforce it.   - OS
  14. A bit surprising to me, SIG has indicated they may get more involved with the ruling:   http://www.thetruthaboutguns.com/2015/01/foghorn/breaking-statement-sig-sauer-atf-pistol-brace-ruling/   There has been more talk here and there about the concept of a "declaratory judgment" as being a viable way to go on the matter, rather than either waiting for an actual criminal case, or from a manufacturer filing suit claiming any kind of  financial damages. Some scuttlebutt around that Alex himself DBA SB Tactical might be the logical one to pursue it, and that might be how SIG could throw in its support without attacking it directly under its own name. We'll see.   - OS
  15.   The way I read it, the reference to 1313 is only for how firearms must be stored in vehicle. Otherwise this bill would indeed have no purpose at all.   - OS
  16. I don't grok that, as this is the only kind of loading gate I know of, how is the "two at a time" applicable? - OS
  17. Blew off parts of three fingers, yow. http://www.outdoorhub.com/news/2014/12/16/muzzleloader-explodes-like-grenade-takes-shooters-fingers/ - OS

  19.   Well, England didn't have to fight on its "own soil" either. They did of course have to fight in the air over their home soil, which only proves that small arms aren't very effective against airplanes. Or incoming missiles. ;)   - OS
  20.   Problem is, they vote in your world.   - OS
  21.   In general regarding firearms, WV is a free state, MD is the opposite.   - OS
  22.   Only 3 states or so actually have option for banning carry under penalty of law. The rest rely on the "being asked to leave if noticed/trespassing if you don't" thang.   - OS
  23.   They didn't make a peep about 1313 which gives same permission to permit holders.   Although of course TN Board of Regents has stated since that folks are still subject to firing/expulsion if caught. A fight they'll lose in court if ever challenged.   - OS

    Donnelson Y

Whether they are or not, all Y's in TN have "no knives no guns" policy in rules on the sign up contract.   It's the reason I carry a Kahr in the pocket instead of XD in IWB holster when I go, no prob in locker rooms.   - OS
  25.   1313 requires that you have a permt. This bill would allow non-permit holders to do same. The reference to 1313 is for how the firearms must be stored in vehicle.   Right now, anyone may have firearms in vehicle, but that does not override 1359, 1311, or 1309 unless you have a permit. Dunno why he limited the thing to just 1309.   - OS
