Then they should mention it somewhere along the line. Like, "geez, their skulls aren't nearly as hard as they used to be, must have something to do with the zombie process". Just like, "geez, why don't they rot away, I mean no circulation, hell they don't even breathe, guess the virus doesn't something to retard it." Or let Eugene pontificate from some store of physiological trivia as to something like your possibility, whatever. Just saying that for best suspension of disbelief, there have to be "rules", however absurd to compared to reality, they need to make sense compared to how they differ from reality. You can get away with almost anything for a two hour movie without the "rules", but eventually the fantasy becomes too evident without them when the rules get more lax without explanation. Hell, now Aaron just sliced one in half with a frigging license plate, for c'sakes. If the skulls get any softer, a stiff middle finger will suffice. - OS

Ever heard Rick or Maggie or The Governor in natural accent? Bunch of English folks on the series. (yeah I know Lauren is technically an American). - OS
-
I don't think you have to worry about Glenn being written out till maybe Maggie is preggers. - OS

And one thing that just keeps bugging me, totally interferes with the pleasure of suspension of disbelief: the fact that Zed skulls are like cantaloupes. Just no prob plunging any ole blade in them, or whacking them in half with a puny backhand machete swing, or splattering them into a red mist with most any impact more than a gentle tap. - OS

So why aren't they blaming the plane?

Since you said that, I'll still leave the "like" -- but against my better judgement. ;) - OS -
Hopefully eaten also. Simple quick death is too good for some of these aholes. - OS

Gave you a "like" but note -- we don't have party registration in TN. AFAIK, the only thing "on record" is in which primary one last voted. - OS -
I'm gonna be pissed if the priest doesn't get eaten. - OS

So, I'll repeat from the other previous thread: So I'll keep the same capacity but significantly smaller Moonie in my pocket. - OS

The collection should be ultimately protected by the collection. ;) - OS

And carrying in prohibited park/recreation area is Class A 'meanor. - OS
-
Yes. Class B Misdemeanor with $500 fine only (no jail). However, another statute says that one's TN permit will be suspended or revoked also (which wouldn't affect someone's permit from another state). We have yet to find a case where a prosecution of this statute has gone to completion however. - OS

The Tennessee "Katrina Law" is found in: TCA 58-2-107. Emergency management powers of the governor One line was added to very end: (m) "During any state of emergency, major disaster or natural disaster, the state, a political subdivision or a public official shall not prohibit nor impose additional restrictions on the lawful possession, transfer, sale, transport, carrying, storage, display or use of firearms and ammunition or firearm and ammunition components." and another modifed to: (e)(8) [The Governor may ...] "Suspend or limit the sale, dispensing, or transportation of alcoholic beverages, explosives, or combustibles, which terms shall not be construed to include firearms, ammunition, or firearm or ammunition components" Note however that in confrontation with a LEO, at least in the short run mace, tasers, batons and guns beat paper every time. - OS

I've always wondered if there isn't quite the loophole therein? Meaning, if you have an HCP and are convicted of DUI, it will be suspended for the duration of the sentence/probation. But if you don't have HCP, you can apply even while serving the sentence and get one? FallGuy has it right, both conditions must be met to be denied - 2 or more DUI within 10 years of application and at least one of them in last 5 years. - OS

He didn't make a joke. That's the proper usage. - OS -
In all forums except Trading Post. The VP9 by all reports is one helluva nice heater. - OS

Is it difficult to hunt with an AR pistol? (300 blackout)
Oh Shoot replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Long Guns
Folks been using various models of those for years. Mainly in reality to be a bit more comfy against the shoulder though, just as with the SIG braces, as they don't really do anything against the cheek that a simple foam cover wouldn't IMHO: Or make your own, including a nice cane tip: - OS -

Oh Shoot replied to maroonandwhite's topic in Long Guns
You do bring it to eye level, see pics above for laying tube alongside cheek. Or by putting buffer tube against shoulder. Or by putting a SIG or Shockwave brace against shoulder (keep the other eye peeled for Mad Max Kingery ;)) - OS -
If you ever needed to limit capacity, a half inch wooden dowel of proper length will do it fine. - OS

NICS is free, but TN uses TICS (Tennessee Instant Check System) run by TBI (Tennessee Bureau of Investigation) as intermediary, and there is a $10 fee per 4473 as per state law. We are a "full participant point of contact" state for NICS, as an option under the federal system: http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/nics/poc - OS

Firearms issue bills for this session.
Oh Shoot replied to Worriedman's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That sounds likely to me. As evidence, he didn't sign the preemption bill last year. Perhaps his view is not so much about expanding carry but more about believing in local authority. - OS -
Traveling across state lines with NFA items?
Oh Shoot replied to Luke E.'s topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
Yeah. You can even sell it as a normal Title 1 (GCA) firearm that way, without even notifying ATF, though they "recommend" you do. - OS -
Getting Tailed, what to do
