  1.   I don't see where his office claimed any "conflict".   NRA's official statement was that they were "unable to accommodate a speaking role for Haslam". Not surprising since he has a C rating. If he were running for prez in '16 they might have accommodated him if he wanted to try and atone.   - OS
  2. Cantcha do the lifetime online like the others?   https://www.tn.wildlifelicense.com/start.php   - OS
  3.   Geez, we'd all have to quit doing that then I guess.   - OS
  4.   About 4 days. :)   - OS
  5.   Not a reloader, but burn rate of different powders with different weight bullets probably figures significantly into pressure left in chamber as extraction begins?   - OS
  6. Must be hotter loads than you've been shooting, "over gassed" meaning bolt coming back faster than optimum, shells are hitting deflector or side of ejection port and bouncing forward instead being tossed out cleanly.   As long as it reliably runs that way, wouldn't worry about it. Failures happen with over gassing when extraction issues are encountered, ie, chamber pressure hasn't dropped enough and extractor fails to get empty casing out by slipping over the cartridge rim before it's completely removed for ejector to fling it out. That's why so many ARs need the "enhanced" extractor spring and/or o-ring to make it grip better -- because so many ARs are overgassed from the maker. Especially prevalent with short barrels/pistols. And then it's possible the extractor claw can actually tear through the rim with extreme over gassing.   If that was only load you fired, might want to use heavier buffer, though adjustable block best, but again, if runs 100%, "no need to fix something that ain't broken". :)   - OS
  7.   Put an AR "tactical" endplate on it between adapter and buffer tube.   - OS
  8. What's wrong with "thwarts"?  You think most gun folks don't know what it means or something?   - OS
  9. Or lagomorph, even. ;) I guess this would be a "logomorph": :) - OS
  10.   Just a note for the bars and restuarants. Can't drink at all in a place open to public while carrying, whether "intoxicated" or not.   - OS
  11.   I know who you meant. Whatever the truth may be about Norquist, for sure Madman Ted hurts more than helps the cause, not to mention his personal ethics.   - OS
  12.   Melson? Or last actual non "acting" head, Truscott? Couldn't find any NFL connection with either?   - OS
  13.   Same thing. My point is, you must already have one to be getting 30Mbps, and it is almost certainly already capable of getting 100Mbps.   - OS
  14.   They did. Nugent is gone from new board.   - OS
  15.   You mean ethernet card? Surely it's already 100 mbps capable?   - OS
  16.   I think Utah is perhaps most popular issuer of non-resident permits in US, that may explain it.   - OS
  17. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3024884/Meal-extra-crunch-Diner-s-surprise-finds-50-PEARLS-inside-baked-oyster.html   (Must have "http://" in front for forum software to parse it as hot link)
  18.   The written warranty actually only covers the first retail purchaser, btw, But yeah, HP by actual policy has always been to fix any of them, at least so far.   Kel Tech used to be same, but changed to enforce the written warranty a couple years ago.   - OS
  19.   Magpul MOE K2+, of course. Has the rubber overmolding.   I have standard MOE K2 on both my pistols, makes amazing difference with short LOP firearms for sure. Standard angle still okay for me on longer ones. Would have used the K2+ on them if it had been out when I put them together.   - OS
  20.   It is an defense to illegal possession with intent to go armed if done in your home, and you must possess with intent to go armed to be guilty of the felony provision in 1307.   I suppose you could still be guilty of the misdemeanor part of 1307, though, so just make sure all the firearms are loaded at all times if you don't do firearm instruction. :)   But seriously, methinks this homeschooling topic area seems a bit overblown, no prosecutor is going to split a hair like this.   - OS
  21.   Obviously not just tax increase.   Again, all you have to do is look at past and present bill to see where the diff is. You've probably just run out of the lower pricing span that your last "deal" covered, the x amount for first 12 or 24 months.   - OS
  22. For you folks that have them, seems this is quite a good deal, .20 each?   http://www.ammunitiontogo.com/product_info.php/pName/50rds-762-nagant-fiocchi-98gr-fmj-ammo/cName/pistol-ammo-762-nagant?utm_campaign=Make%20the%20Most%20Of%20Your%20Range%20Budget%20Today%20With%20ATG&utm_content=ATG%20Newsletter%204-2-15%20Split%204&utm_medium=email&utm_source=Newsletter&utm_term=   - OS
  23. If credit card wasn't charged within hours, something went wrong during order process.   I just put order in Friday, got shipping number today. Only ordered from them once before, maybe 2 months ago, also shipped in a week or less.   - OS
  24.   If they are in a (perhaps only properly) posted city or county park, carry would still be unlawful.   Okay on TVA property. Gray at best on Corps of Engineers property.   - OS
  25. That is really quite slow for cable, but reeeaaallly sloooow for "business class". Grade C indeed. - OS
