Reporting he went to Redbank High School "in Hixon". ;) Truly a nice pad, looks like his parents house, and his dad worked for the city in some capacity or other. - OS

Yeah, but not closely. Thought I only saw one body. The entrance to the whole thing on Amnicola isn't even manned, dunno whether he had to crash anything to get into motor pool part or just drove in? Car doesn't look trashed in the front? - OS

Yeah, Stuart Varney in for Cavuto. I bet it wasn't full auto though, hardly ever is when you hear "automatic". - OS

To be fair, apparently he is commuting the sentences, not pardoning them. - OS

I guess they can theorize what they want, but would seem to me anytime a federal agency is shot up, the FBI would be there toot sweet regardless and take jurisdiction. edit: FOX just came on board with the Muhammed feller as perp. - OS

Interesting that CNN/FOX are still holding off mentioning identity of the shooter. Guess they don't feel it's reliable info yet. But MSNBC is saying it's so, opining he's naturalized citizen from Kuwait. - OS

Bullet holes do look bigger to me also at the Brainerd location. I'm guessing AK or .308. - OS

If by "immediately" they mean coming down from Knoxville. Which they're not gonna identify, at least officially right now. - OS

What's vague? What's TBH? One quirk to be aware of in TN: a pistol need not have any particular overall length or barrel length federally, but TCA defines a handgun as having less than 12" barrel. - OS

Must admit, gave David, Chuck, and BT likes on this one, can certainly see both sides. I have wondered just how much our "good guy" rules of engagement might change though, if we had ever had to fight a foreign enemy on our own soil, truly the "total" war that our adversaries have faced on theirs. - OS

Bad guy with gun shot by good guy with gun

Possible that he was not convicted of felony, even if charged with one. Possibility that even if convicted for felony, got a diversion where charge is expunged upon completion of probation or whatever. Like DaveTN suggests, we have no idea of the exact circumstances of any particular part of the saga. - OS

Surefire High Capacity Mags
Oh Shoot replied to nightowl556's topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
The SureFire mags are not steel. - OS -
Yep. Hell look at Sunni/Shiite just among the same religion. If America hadn't had "color of skin" differences as primary prejudice, likely plenty of others would have become more prevalent. - OS

Finally found something you guys need from the Amazon sale
Oh Shoot replied to NoBanStan's topic in General Chat
Geez, the free shipping on 522 lbs alone makes this a real steal! - OS -
No idea what's possible, but agree that it will almost certainly require a lawyer to free the guns, if they still exist in limbo. Faced a minor version of this years ago regarding one handgun, without even a conviction related to it of any kind. Long story, but if there were actually a way for me to have pursued getting it back by myself, the process was indeed well hidden by the office of the court. - OS

I fail to see how a spoof site is in any way a reflection on PayPal itself, any more than it is to any other financial institution that has an online presence. Like saying you won't use your local bank because its online banking can be spoofed. - OS

Aren't GI contract ones still just 15, like standard factory mags? - OS

However, for reasons I don't really fully grok, the transmission rate from it is only 1kb (125 bytes) per second, so each standard image is about 45 min getting out in the first place. And it can't send them continuously either. The actual data reception and interpolation parts on our end is the most amazing part. Each transaction is 2.9% + .30 to be exact. Only additional fees are for an international transaction or to get a check cut. Yup. Apparently, the original script is usually seen as definitive, just sayin' :): KLAATU (slowly) There's no limit to what he could do. He could destroy the Earth. (with great urgency) If anything should happen to me, you must go to Gort. You must give him this message: "Klaatu barada nikto." Please repeat that. HELEN (shocked and bewildered, she repeats nervously) "Klaatu barada nikto."

I like it okay cooked any ole way. Traditionally as part of a gumbo is best IMNSHO. I like it pickled too. A bit pricy in stores, but salad bars usually have it pickled, and I always eat a bunch of it when I find myself at one. - OS

I'd say buying from an unknown source, once it's on the rifle for a while is when you find out. First thing that happens with some cheapos is that the dual aperture just starts flopping loosely rather than firmly click into place, or the elevation wheel strips, or ... - OS

Who is "GT"? How does one know if this one is any good? - OS

News to me, thanks. I've never seen one advertised as other than "mil spec" or "A2", unless they don't mention spec at all, though. Still don't quite get it though, as only reason front sight is higher is because when military went to flat top, they didn't (or couldn't) make a carry handle that sat as low as the integral one and retain the rest of the milspec parts, so they went to the F front sight? - OS
