  1. Perhaps since it was nixed for consideration by the military in whatever bizarre and muddled process that is supposedly underway, it's not as high a priority to get it out there anymore?   - OS
  2. Here's NSSF range finding data base:   http://wheretoshoot.org   Not perfect but pretty good I guess. It found them all but Norris Range in my area.   - OS
  3.   John Sevier TWRA range:   http://tn.gov/twra/article/john-sevier-hunter-education-center   - OS
  4.   Yeah, mine didn't time out to perfectly tight either. Even with all the notches on it, the odds are that it won't. Better than the standard AR slant brake though. But it doesn't really matter in either case.   - OS
  5.   TN passed a law last session very similar to the "not helping Feds enforce gun laws" regarding killing black vultures:   http://wapp.capitol.tn.gov/apps/BillInfo/Default.aspx?BillNumber=SB0204   In essence, it says that it is not unlawful to kill them in TN, and that we won't help the Feds enforce its law to the opposite.   - However, of course this doesn't mean the Feds can't charge and convict you. - Also note this if for the black vulture only, not the turkey vulture. - Also also note that a juvenile turkey vulture (which can be almost as large as an adult) looks very similar to a black vulture, as the head is the only stark difference.   So some pretty obvious advice: try not to kill any Turkey Vultures, and if you snuff any Black Vultures, keep it on the QT, eh?   - OS
  6.   http://www.amazon.com/Bumper-Sticker-People-Drivers-Phones/dp/B00Q67N2U6   http://www.zazzle.com/guns_dont_kill_people_drivers_with_cell_phones_do_bumper_sticker-128937383862150659   need a tee shirt?:   http://www.ironhorsehelmets.com/guns-dont-kill-people-drivers-with-cell-phones-do-biker-t-shirts/   - OS
  7. Just tried to send him link to this thread on computer, same error.   Maybe that's the error these days if inbox is full?   - OS
  8.   Handgunlaw shows that VA honors any Utah permit, but PA resident permit only, which is sort of odd if correct.   - OS
  9. Phone, I bet? What interface?
  10.   Why isn't Huck still filling it?   - OS
  11. When I first saw the 40 round boxes (at Academy in 'Nooga), they were a dime more than buying two 20 round boxes. I mentioned it to a guy behind the counter, and his reaction was like mine, ie "go figger, eh?"   - OS
  12.   You can only carry a loaded handgun on the person in general public here with a carry permit. The permit allows concealed or open carry, so no matter how poorly you may conceal your heater, "printing" is not a legal issue.   - OS
  13. Yup. This baby ain't going off in my pocket: - OS
  14.   Transforming America, baby!   Gotta get away from our racist fat cat roots. None of dem founder guys would redistribute their wealth either, ya know.   - OS

I only trust news on stuff like this from places like InfoWars and PrisonPlanet, don't need to read and think for myself, thanks.   - OS
  16. Dunno if there are enough there to jump through the hoops to buy them.   License to own firearms necessary, then separate permit to purchase, then firearm registration. 10 round mags. And essentially nobody gets a carry permit.   - OS

Tin Foilers now consider Snopes as part of the greater Liberal Conspiracy. :)   - OS
  18. I don't think they're trying to apply an exact timeline, except that it's "quick", so just 2 or 3 days at most so far. As Tobias says pointedly to reinforce that, "when civilization ends, it ends fast".       Next episode is in two weeks, the Zeds wanted Labor Day weekend off. :)   - OS
  19.   Oh, I imagine it'll get with it. There's 15 underway for next year.   - OS
  20. Austin.   Denver.   Nashville.   They're gonna win in the long run, ya know.   Unless we eat them all in The Meltdown.   - OS
  21.   I bet he lasts (even though he had to be saved from his first Zed encounter). I think he'll out smart 'em, maybe become somewhat of a leader.   - OS
  22.   Can tell you that the 2 liter soda pop bottles are basically "forever" if you keep them out of direct sunlight.   However, the plastic that used for milk will eventually fail.  So will the gallon jugs that are used for, wait for it...bottled water. They will both develop pin holes just sitting in the dark and leak out. Dunno about those uber thin individual 12-16 oz bottles.   - OS
  23. It's UTG also. On the non-laminate stock with the different screw location that WASRs are using these days, it fits just a tad loose, used a strip of double sided outdoor type tape on inside to keep it on more securely. To be clear, this type AK buttpad will NOT fit the current WASR stock: - OS
  24. Tacticool "high end" folks may poo poo it, but the UTG mount has been rock solid for me. Matter of fact, UTG stuff seems in general to have risen to become a very good line over the last 5 years or so. I have the original version on two WASRs: They now have a "pro" version too, I guess main diffs are a bit longer top rail, detachable side rail and see through v-cut on top one. Oh yeah, and made in USA, pretty sure mine is PRC.
  25. If it makes one feel better about espousing a right he can't exercise, fine with me.  We have the right to opine about a right, even from prison.   - OS
