  1. Glad you are here. Yes, this site can give lots of knowledge AND enjoyment. - OS
  2. We're glad you're a part of it, too! Hiya from just across the river... - OS
  3. Good to "see" ya, Bret! - OS
  4. Welcome! Watch for two antique shotguns I'm gonna list in new couple days, in case your fancy runs to scatterguns... - OS
  5. Yep, I had to look up Woodbury, but there you are! welcome - OS
  6. Welcome, John... I'm looking to get back out in the country now that I've retired, too. - OS
  7. This very day, I had an expended round that somehow got under the extractor star when I dumped the others. Ruger SP101, .357 Blazer alloy case stuff. Not really a "lock up" but certainly at least an extra 20 sec extra before could reload. Probably longer if I were running under fire or some such. Just shows to go ya, eh? - OS
  8. Well, first off, since you're right there in the shadow of where they are issued, I'm sure you're screwed. Probably takes THREE WEEKS just to mail yours, since you are too close (grim grin). - OS
  9. Flash: Supposedly, mine "was sent" today, "7 - 14 days in mail"? 1. I'll believe it when I get it (may have to get someone else to verify, as I'm not sure I'll believe it THEN). 2. So, does the Nashville mailman WALK to Knoxville? I mean, WTF is with THAT? There is so much wrong with this process, I just sputter... Will update some more IF I ever actually get it in hand....have found out at least one clue about the varying times, I think. - OS
  10. Awww, what's the ammo gonna do, get MORE powerful over time? C'mon..if it ain't eaten into with rust, what could happen, cept not fire or squib? - OS
  11. A shrink couldn't handle this bunch ! - OS
  12. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind... I don't understand zactly where the rail would attach, though, since already have extension tube on it. Unless you mean getting a different fore end of some type. - OS
  13. Well, I went low ball... That's a $5 ammo boot, a $10 "universal mount" holding a LED flashlight from Sam's. I need to shoot it some to see if the light rig survives recoil. I'd say it will, if it stays ON ... at worst, the FIRST shot will be illuminated! - OS
  14. Ah, did not know...thanks... - OS
  15. We can shoot shotties at Coal Creek? - OS
  16. Exactly what I chose, too. It oughtta do the job; if not, we obviously needed a platoon. - OS
  17. Oh Shoot

    .38 super vs .45

You ain't gonna be able to buy ammo just any ole where... perhaps not the best of choices unless you're a reloader... - OS
  18. You guys don't seem to know anything about zombies. You just need a decent shot to forehead to disrupt brain; you don't really need to blow them apart or anything drastic. Really, a .22 semi-auto or pump will suffice. Maybe one of those Kel-Tec .22 jobbies if you want lots of capacity. A backup pistol to fend them off while you reload. Hopefully, you have buddy with you, one shoots and one reloads. - OS
  19. Sure, as long as the gun itself is sound. 'Bout worst that might happen are squibs. Of course a squib CAN be very dangerous if the bullet stays in the barrel and you don't clear the barrel before sending ANOTHER round down the pipe! - OS
  20. Another outrageous example. What was the "reason" given? - OS
