Dunno if you can get locally?... about 22 bucks on CheaperThanDirt, plus the shipping of course. - OS
  7. I haven't hunted in many years, but this kind of thing is just outrageous...it flies in the face of everything instilled in me growing up about sportsmanship and wildlife conservation, not to mention the sheer magnitude of the illegality. I'm ashamed we actually have Tennesseans who behave this way and hope they throw the whole book at 'em. - OS
  8. I know Troy a little ... nice feller. Ex Sevierville LEO. He has shop in back of his house in residential neighborhood... contact him first through the website number. Notice "by appointment only". - OS

I think it's usually some kind of projection on the magazine follower that triggers the lockback function. Did you have more than one mag? If so, did it exhibit same prob with all the mags you have? - OS
  11. Not an geezer tactic, methinks ! To me, it just looks like it gives the BG a longer opportunity to lay down unanswered fire. A little more sporting for him perhaps, to hit a (slowly) moving target - OS
  12. High Noon makes some good stuff, but IMNSHO, ANY IWB holster that has clip on the fat part of holster is too bulky. Clips or loops on flatter extremes of holster design will always press closer to your bod and be less bulky at the already widest part of the rig. I'm a D.M. Bullard fan, great blend of quality/price, and he has most already ready to ship. Here's my fav IWB holster, the Dual Carry, for your gun: http://estore.websitepros.com/1565531/Detail.bok?no=343 Descriptive page: http://www.dmbullardleather.com/1429711.html Has money back guarantee if you don't like it. Lots of folks here and everywhere swear by the Crossbreed or MTAC, and I'm sure they are fine products, but I just love all leather (although I use a Kydex pocket holster also). - OS
  13. For those who might not see this: Yeah, so it's a totally posed Crimson Trace ad in American Rifleman (tagline: "the guy with the laser survived") But it's such a visual statement of an "aftermath" -- rather powerfully sums up the idea that even with a "good" outcome, there will always be dues to pay ...
  14. Though I didn't know him, I read essentially every one of his posts, and considered him a most valuable asset for information regarding self defense and firearms. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and personal friends. - OS
