  1. Well, if you REALLY think this hypothetical is in the realm of the even unlikely possible, get one of them $40 Center of Mass lock cases and keep it in the vehicle. THAT's certainly an obvious statement of your intent "not to possess", certainly "not to go armed". I'm thinking of getting one myself, but for more likely theticals - OS
  2. Cops can do what they want. I've had them ask for ID all around in my younger days of running a little wilder. - OS
  3. Oh c'mon...assuming that the cop even actually ran YOUR license, you would have to be really spouting off or he would have to be having a very bad day period to run you in. <LawyerImpersonation> And I agree with Double, no way a judge is gonna convict you of that, unless you really spout off to him or somesuch. I mean really are you really possessing the gun, locked in the trunk, unloaded, as far as the actual intent of the law? </LawyerImpersonation> Also, if you were worried about it, you could just say you didn't bring a gun. Okay, what if he searches the car? Answer: "Oops, I put that in there couple of days ago, and I FORGOT." - OS
  4. The thieves that don't get caught are smarter than the ones that do. - OS
  5. I think the only shop on TGO to advertise them now and then is Tri-Cities Gun Depot in Elizabethton. Keep an eye out in the Vendor Products for Sale forum. Or maybe he can reserve you one. He's gotten in just 3 or so at a time several times in the last few months. At least you're up that way. Look back through the ads for price...it was a little less than MSRP I think. - OS
  6. Naw, c'mon. Going around the loop is 15 min more, tops. Unless there's a bad wreck of course. Then everything stops between Chattanooga, Nashville, and Knoxville. - OS
  7. Use the "insert image" icon on top of the editing window, and paste the link in the dialog it presents. If you want to fool with getting two windows open (not tabs, but separate incidences of your browser) you can actually drag and drop the images directly into new post. - OS
  8. My former best friend, a psychologist (sadly deceased) had a favorite saying: "People -- they're the worst". - OS
  9. Floating on TGO somewhere is thread about a news report from Nashville not too long ago, lamenting the high number of handguns stolen from cars. Lemme think, if I was gonna break into cars hoping to find guns, now where would I be likely to look? Kmart? Nah. WalMart, nah. Burger King, nah. How about Red Lobster, Ruby Tuesday, OhCharley's, and etc. YEAH! That's the ticket! Our legislators are truly STOOPID. And you'd think law enforcement agencies would pressure them to change the law, too. The video I mentioned had a police captain stating that people shouldn't leave guns in cars. DUUUUHHHHHHHHHH! - OS
  10. Well, I haven't used the gallery space for links, if that's what you mean, but note that the thumbnail image and the actual pic are different URL's, if that helps any. For example, from your own gallery: http://www.tngunowners.com/photos/data/500/thumbs/ColtLawman.JPG is the thumbnail http://www.tngunowners.com/photos/data/500/medium/ColtLawman.JPG is first resolution pic http://www.tngunowners.com/photos/data/500/ColtLawman.JPG is the highest rez pic If this helps at all... - OS
  11. And I haven't even been there today! - OS
  12. Good training, eh? Much better than good guy/bad guy pop ups on tactical course. - OS
  13. Our pleasure...glad you're with us... - OS
  14. We won't hold that against you Welcome aboard! - OS
  15. Jump right in, the water's fine... - OS
  16. Times are tough, folks getting tense. Times are gonna get tougher, folks tenser. Sign o' the times... "There but for the grace of god go I" sentiment is prolly best. - OS
  17. Certainly at least half the time I used to spend in libraries was NOT recreational, by a long shot. - OS
  18. No, I like both. I carry either Kahr 9 or (new!) XD SC 9 most all the time, Ruger wheelie once in a while. But only one gun at a time on moi. - OS
  19. They really should upgrade from DOS 3.1 and that 20MB hard drive. - OS
