  1.   Nothing gets by you -- ya got any updates on that War Between the States thang?  ;)   - OS
  2.   Note I revised post, after some "research" into Eric's whereabouts and etc, I took it a step too far.   Eric was in compound at time of attack, so it was simply Aaron's own backpack he had left during last season, in the car where he and Daryl were trapped when rescued by Morgan.   - OS
  3.   Aaron. I got that was his own backpack he recognized that he lost and those were the recruitment pix they show, just as they did with Rick's group. Which helped lead the Wolves to the place.   - OS
  4.   You can do that through PayPal.   - OS
  5.   Yeah, I've carped all along about the lack of a suitable "science mythology" to "explain" things for a bit more credence for suspension of disbelief.   Too many logical dichotomies to even mention. But I guess at heart the Zed genre is just what it is, and pseudo-scientific explanations would just be even more absurd.   - OS
  6.   Hey you can't pick and choose if you want a couple dozen Ring of Fire heaters all in the same place. :)   - OS
  7. Morgan and guns.   Seems a big continuity problem here regarding Morgan and guns. Thought idea was he didn't have any truck with them, yet:   - When Carol is leading him on chain as ruse to get to the armory, you can clearly see a handgun in holster on his right side. (which the passing Wolves who give her kudos didn't notice either)   - Then after Carol shoots the tied up Wolf that tried to kill Gabriel, she hands a handgun to both Morgan and Gabriel, Morgan gives his to Gabriel, saying something or other to the effect he doesn't believe in using them. But we already know he has one on his hip, which also begs the question of why she even gave him one in the first place?   You can also see the heater on his hip toward the end when he and Carol are doing the aftermath walk around.   WTF?   - OS
  8.   Yeah -- only posted 37 times, last one about 2.5 years ago.   - OS
  9.   That's my take too. It's basically a BHO snit that he can't shove more bucks to the parts of gummit that he favors - if he had his way I imagine the EPA would be as big as the military.   On the other hand, it is indeed an end run around sequestration, which is the "law".   - OS
  10.   Congress has already passed it.   - OS
  11.   It's always refreshing when Carol gets to bare her teeth.   - OS
  12.   Seems like by now, the totals would make gang bangers an endangered species there, at least black ones.   - OS
  13.   True, as far as the general public. There's still the school property restriction. And don't use a switchblade in a crime, use a Bowie instead. ;)   There is still the catchall of "Any other implement for infliction of serious bodily injury or death that has no common lawful purpose" in 39-17-1302 though.   I suppose if arrested for a sword, the defense would revolve around whether self defense is a common lawful purpose for an object that is not specifically otherwise prohibited   - OS
  14.   Yeah, I don't see much purpose in just listing a user name. Maybe some might use same one on other sites, but probably anyone really low enough to plan a scam like this wouldn't. Plus there may well be unrelated folks using that username here and there on the web, and could be unjustly besmirched.   That generally doesn't work worth a hoot except briefly,  as only very few people have a static IP.   The last two IP fields, especially the last one, change frequently with the various ISPs.  Even all 4 fields may (they certainly do with Comcast). So at some point not far down the road, you'd actually be banning someone unrelated by doing a specific IP.  Or you'd have to ban a range of IPs, so you'd be nixing all the Comcast users in an extended area or whatever at any given time, and you might still not be getting the target baddie.   Not to mention the use of IP anonymizers.    - OS
  15.   Did away with barrel length at same time best I remember, whatever year it was.   So you can hunt bear with a .25acp mouse gun now.  Now that's sportsmanship indeed.   - OS
  16.   Well, doesn't look like the possible veto has anything to do with this rather paltry by comparison detail in it.   - OS
  17.   Thanks, I somehow actually haven't heard, or at least  notice, his nibs talking about it at all.   edit: quick looksee around seems to be all about circumventing budget cap on military while imposing it on civilian agencies some of which I'm sure BHO smiles on more than the military. And other related whatnot but not a peep 'bout the 1911's, so that doesn't even seem to be on the radar for him to rant about.   - OS
  18.   So you really think he'll kick back something as important as the bucks for the entire Dept of Defense over this little included sop to the right?   - OS
  19.   If you believe any of the 535 actually have any personal sway with any member of the court.   My sense is that each of the nine now breathes rarefied air, quite aloof from the influence of politics itself.   - OS
  20. Well, it's always something.   If accurate info, I guess Serbia and US makers in particular will benefit for a while.   - OS
  21.   39-16-301.  Criminal impersonation.   (a) A person commits criminal impersonation who, with intent to injure or defraud another person:    (1) Assumes a false identity;    (2) Pretends to be a representative of some person or organization;    (3) Pretends to be an officer or employee of the government; or    (4) Pretends to have a disability. ( b ) A person commits criminal impersonation who pretends to be a law enforcement officer for the purpose of:    (1) Engaging in an activity that is ordinarily and customarily an activity established by law as a law enforcement activity; and    (2) Causing another to believe that the person is a law enforcement officer. ( c )  (1) Criminal impersonation under subsection (a) is a Class B misdemeanor. However, if the criminal impersonation was committed to falsely obtain a driver license or photo identification license, the maximum fine of five hundred dollars ($500) shall be imposed. If any person commits the offense of criminal impersonation under subsection (a) while pretending to be a firefighter, medical fire responder, paramedic, emergency medical technician or any other first responder and while operating a motor vehicle pursuant to § 55-9-201(d), § 55-9-402(g) or § 55-9-414(f), then the offense is a Class A misdemeanor.    (2) Criminal impersonation under subsection ( b ) is a Class A misdemeanor. However, if any person commits criminal impersonation of a law enforcement officer under subsection ( b ) while operating a motor vehicle pursuant to § 55-9-201(d), § 55-9-402(g) or 55-9-414(f), then the maximum fine for the offense shall be five thousand dollars ($5,000).
  22.   Bud's prices include shipping, so that's not a consideration.   - OS
  23.   Duh, well at least I had it narrowed down to gun magazines. :)   - OS
  24. Guns or Gun Digest, forget which one, had story on collectible aspects of Colt revos not long ago. Even with incredible jump in street price, they are even more sought after these days, so it's certainly not surprising that available stocks of parts would eventually get scarce.   - OS
  25. Lots of them do the "don't want to take away your guns" mantra.   Then in next breath mention that assault weapons should still be banned, which is taking away our guns.   - OS
